It seems I came too late to burst. "The end is near!"

What are you guys planning to do with all the hard disks you mined in the past?

Why?

FYI:

burstforum.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed. The certificate is only valid for Parallels Panel (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

I also get this:

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

Looking at my wallet I see at the right side:

Recent Blocks
Height   Date   Amount + Fee   # TX
146998   9/26/2015 22:44:25   3'338.41831589 + 13        13
146997   9/26/2015 22:37:45   0 + 0   0
146996   9/26/2015 22:37:38   0 + 0   0
146995   9/26/2015 22:34:39   4'498.26915206 + 8       8
146994   9/26/2015 22:30:17   1 + 1   1
146993   9/26/2015 22:28:41   6'382.35132008 + 14        14
146992   9/26/2015 22:25:39   0 + 0   0
146991   9/26/2015 22:25:29   0 + 0   0
146990   9/26/2015 22:23:26   0 + 0   0
146989   9/26/2015 22:15:02   0.00000001 + 1       1

Can anybody explain what are "Amount + Fee" and "# TX" represent?

I don't even load the wallet more than once every few months at most, but I'm 99% sure amount + fee represents the amount of burst being transferred in that block, fee is the total amount of fees the miner would collect, and # TX is the number of transactions in that block. Aren't you supposed to be like a BURST expert, Elmit? How the hell do you not know this? Is this a trick question? Am I taking crazy pills right now?!

More details please.

I'd guess someone tried to write some abuse protection (blocking IPs) in the new faucet script but failed.

Did you get your coins? seems so: http://burstcoin.biz/transaction/9135584383153496280

Yes, I got them. Thank you!

[update]

I just uploaded a new version of burstcoin-address-generator a little tool, to find more personal burst address ... like BURST-YOUR-NAME-xxxx-xxxxx

For feedback and suggestions please use:
https://burstforum.com/index.php?threads/759

Features:
- executable *.jar ... just double click to start!
- GUI for easy usage.
- multithreading (set number of threads and 'tries per thread'),
- multiple and combined search keys
- specify constant pre- and postfix for rnd-passwords
- simple stats in tries/second

burstcoin-address-generator-0.2.2-SNAPSHOT.zip 8.1 MB

For example ... lets find a address that starts with 'BURST-LUXE-'

After pressing 'Start', wait some seconds, select a result and press 'Copy to Clipboard' ... thats it!

Notice: Searching for more than 5 chars could take a while :-) Btw. passphrase will work for NXT wallet, too!

Can you tell me how to use it to recover my password:
I have lost to a burst address the password (random string). I printed it out, but the password was a few characters longer than the paper. It was not much longer, otherwise it would have printed into the next line.
I used this program, with the key of my entire burst address and the password size of 120, with a password prefix of the string (105 characters) from the paper.

Thanks! I got them, but the balance still shows 0.

You need to wait for confirmations, then the balance goes up and you can use your BURSTs.

Ahh, thanks! I got it now!

That part is funny to me specifically... I don't disagree, at all. But, in my case, I've got an old hp thin client (not much better than a raspberry pi in cpu power and power usage, and only 1G RAM), and I've got 4 1T USB disks plugged into it... I think I'm screwing with your ratio. Smiley

Well, we have to make it hard for the techy guys ;P

And oh dear, i just noticed that all the stuff i host is down, i'm on it!

EDIT: Oh dear, looks like ddos.....

It seems they got problems. I will make another one by next week, but for now, just give me your BURST address and I send you some.

Wow that is a very fast community!!!

Here is my burst address:
BURST-3CJW-TGLY-W9PV-EYDVQ

I want to start mining, but need some BURSTs. I tried http://faucet.burstcoin.info/
It seems to be broken (or empty).

Is there another faucet available?
