1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- The Riddle of the Twin Brothers - Who Were, Are and Will Rule the World! on: December 10, 2017, 09:51:16 AM
I would like to share with you all The Lost Gospel of Thomas.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_of_Thomas

Three papyrus fragments were discovered in 1945, believed to date back to between 130 and 250 AD.
The introduction states: "These are the hidden words that the living Jesus spoke and Didymos Judas Thomas wrote them down." Didymus (Greek) and Thomas (Aramaic) both mean "twin".

These were inscribed with 114 parables said to be passed through oral transmission. It is readable in full here: http://gnosis.org/naghamm/gosthom.html
A few of the parables could be construed to pertain to Ixcoin:
Quote
24. His disciples said, "Show us the place where you are, for we must seek it."He said to them,
"Anyone here with two ears had better listen! Light exists inside a person of light, and he shines on the whole world. If he does not shine, there is darkness.”
Thomas Nasakioto is "gone" as is Satoshi Nakamoto They want their ideas to stand on their own merit, they want the individual to use their own perception instead of follow a personality blindly.

Quote
63. Jesus said, "There was a rich person who had a great deal of money. He said, 'I shall invest my money so that I may sow, reap, plant, and fill my storehouses with produce, that I may lack nothing.' These were the things he was thinking in his heart, but that very night he died. Anyone here with two ears had better listen!"
This reflects on the mortality of man and the capacity to fail despite a feeling of impending triumph. There are a great deal many in cryptocurrency who lost large sums of money chasing unrealistic goals.

Quote
66. Jesus said, "Show me the stone that the builders rejected: that is the keystone."
The keystone is of course Ixcoin.

I hope that all is well with you Vlad2Vlad.

Vlad?  lol

~CfA~

I wish I were Vlad.

That guy has a reason to live.

First of all he's a prophet. He has a beautiful wife, awesome kids, a cool job with the CIA.

Me? I wish nothing more than a swift, painless death.

It's a great thing that Ixcoin is ordained by God so there is no way it will fail despite this stall.  Grin

Hm, foreboding for IxCoin.

I hope this can be resolved, wish I could offer something towards technical development. If the knowledge required isn't there though; it's not there. Say what you will about altcoins in general but if nothing else the IxCoin community has been comparatively forthcoming in discussing the absurdities surrounding cryptocurrency. For that, I would gladly go down with the ship should it come to worst.

As for IxCoin being rejected on Cryptopia: Auroracoin  won a round of voting despite it's substantially higher 50% premine. It's laughable.

I'm surprised Vlad hasn't talked about the Orlando IX 2015 convention which has been going on. It'd be a great thing to claim partnership with, even if it's just a huge coincidence.

If somebody didn't know any better one might believe that the IX in a circle is ixcoin's logo.

I mean, just look at that. Looks like a great event. Maybe if there's an Orlando IX 2016 Ixcoin could be a payment option.

Just by coincidence, ixCoin.eu is up and running the same week that ixCoin.org goes up for sale, which in itself is unexplainably absurd.

Well, Ixcoin.eu is not up and running. Also the wix domain has been up for weeks... it may have never come down. Not really a coincidence at all.  Tongue

At this point Ixcoin hinges on the claims that unnamed hodlers have plans to do something with this coin and... that's about it.

The thing about crypto is that they all essentially function the same. The major difference is the amount of support behind them. Whatever the head honchos wanna move will move. Doge anyone?

Microsoft pay, Samsung pay, Google pay, Apple pay.... Maybe crypto isn't as necessary as people think. Corporations can just do the encrypting instead of us bottom of the barrel retards.

Fake it till you make it Vladdie.

Vlad can't afford $500 for a domain, that's a good joke. Almost as funny as non-encrypted communication about cryptocurrencies.

I don't really agree. A site doesn't have to be 100% from scratch, somebody could use squarespace or wix to get a simple site directing to the necessary downloads up in 5 minutes.

It's whether or not the domain owners want to, that's the issue.

We own plenty of IXC domains - even IxCoin.info so I don't think that would be a problem if we can get someone to build a good site.

Again, my point is the quality of the site is mostly irrelevant, as Kraizi pointed out, litecoin.org is simple as can be yet fully functional. We just need something for people to download the latest release and show we aren't dead.

Vlad2Vlad, yes even someone as incompetent as YOU could build a site with squarespace!  Wink

The problems isn't the maintenance cost, I can pay that.  The problem is the required skill to build it and manage it, as I don't possess that skill-set.

Why change the name though? A quick search shows there was a failed coin called xicoin already and a coin called xcoin was also released.

We don't need to re-brand we need to increase user confidence. Developing a mobile wallet and re-opening ixcoin.xyz domains seem most urgent to me.

Ixcoin>Xicoin>Xcoin

With the drop in hash, does f2pool still have majority control on the network.

Ie: Can we update ixcoin through other pools yet?

No, f2pool dropped their IXC hash to update to new code.  Furthermore, we have made efforts to induce new large pools to mine iXCoin (for free).  The biggest ones being BTCCHINA, Ant Pool and of course f2Pool and also stateside pools like Mintsy and also the largest pool in America.

If things work out according to plan then iXCoin will soon be the most secured alt-coin in the world - well above even Namecoin and I would definitely shoot to go above the security level of even Bitcoin.  Understand that goal is nearly impossible but it's what I'm pushing for.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that there is ZERO reward for mining ixCoin and although these pools can merge mine it along with BTC, efficiencies are lost and it can be very costly to add a merged coin like IXC so getting these large pools to add IXC won't be easy and it's possible we will fail but we will not fail from a lack of trying.

Since IxCoin is merge mined, wouldn't surpassing Bitcoin's hash require a fork to re-separate mining?

What happened with the alleged 20mb test-net?
Regarding the 20mb live stress test.  I last spoke with Gavin and Peter Todd about 6-8 weeks ago and it was the understanding that they would get us the software package for the test and then we would do the stress test.  They never delivered that software and they didn't give any reasoning for it either.  They seemed very excited with the idea of iXCoin being the test mule so I'm not sure why they didn't follow through.

I agree about all the needed services but until our partners decide to be more active not much will happen.  That's why I think we should at least do what we can as a community and taking care of the premine issue is something we can tackle.

Well that's disappointing. Zebedee makes some pretty good points you know.

Vlad2Vlad will be a 75 year old man preaching the coming rise of IxCoin to his retirement community at this rate.

Every word out of Vlad's chomper is the unfiltered truth. Except, I was mistaken, George Bush was actually reading "My Pet Goat" when the World Trade Centers were hit.

Guess what year it is: The Year of the Goat.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: September 11, 2015, 05:43:09 PM
In all seriousness though, Ixcoin is lacking the fundamental services needed to compete against Bitcoin.

To my knowledge there is still no mobile wallet, absolutely essential for purchases.

SMS transactions "coming soon" has had no public development.

There's no Mac wallet which is necessary for mainstream adoption aka propagandizing.

The premine is also an issue. The supposed bounties never really materialized... neither did the services.

You guys seeing the crazy happening in Europe?

Another strange coincidence is the fact the U.S. is gearing up for a massive event and is prepared for Marshall Law.  Poor bastards in Europe don't even have guns to defend themselves, it's gonna be a slaughter.  Kill off all the undesirable citizens and blame the crazy immigrants.  Not that guns will help much in the U.S., a quick executive order will ensure door to door military confiscations [for which laws have been recently passed] but at least in the U.S. one has a chance to fight back.

I don't know what's going on but it does appear as if crazy and madness are about to be unleashed on the western world.

Right when Bitcoin is prepped and ready to go.  Another coincidence.

God damn, Vlad is right good thing I've been fermenting my piss for over two years.
I'm well prepped for this with my guns buried out back.

Do you think that Jade Helm is to protect U.S. citizens? Think again! HaHa!

Maybe now you will see what I've been saying for years, Ixcoin is the "Dark Horse" of the crypto world and we will come majestically gallivanting across the fields of strife.
