1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC GPU mining still available??? on: December 05, 2013, 05:08:27 AM
Thank you for the response, can you explain why, I typed some things in google looking for an answer but I can't find any.
On reddit I red a post mentioning the same thing, that gpu miners should try mining lite coin, but they did not explain why

So I kept looking and I think I found a calculator that estimated I would only get $26/month with my cards :-(
So I guess that's why I should mine lite coins, the difficulty is less
Thanks for the help
2  Other / Beginners & Help / BTC GPU mining still available??? on: December 05, 2013, 04:55:38 AM
I'm a little confused, is btc mining for asci miners and lite coin for CPU/gpu mining? I am having issues trying to mine btc and support is only for asci miners.
Can I still mine btc with gpus? If so which miner is recommended for Linux?
3  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: DiabloMiner GPU Miner on: December 04, 2013, 07:12:32 PM
DiabloMiner has been discontinued, please use cgminer instead
noo say it isn't so.
Thank you for the time and effort you put into your software, it was the first miner software I used and it was simple.
I will look into cgminer,  thanks again.

Try turning on vsync, was it working before? Or is this your first time mining
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie needs help - Starting to mine on: November 17, 2013, 05:33:38 PM
If you are unfamiliar with mining (and using GPU) I'd say GUIMiner since it's very easy to use. Don't expect to gain too much from mining without ASIC tho.

:-( That sucks, I have some gpus (2x 5970, 2x 6970) would I be able to get anything now that ASIC miners are around?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Noobie Post here :-) on: November 17, 2013, 05:26:36 PM
Hello everyone this is my first post, one of a few that I will have to get out the way, I was mining about a year ago but then I stopped for a while (which was a mistake) and now I'm back. I have some tech issues now that I cant figure out. I will mention the tech issue in a proper post later on. This post is my introduction to this forum.
:-)
