1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining doubts on: July 22, 2016, 11:35:58 PM
I now understand everything ...
I was thinking about cloudming because at year 2013 I used cex.io to mine in the cloud and did not have any issues .. but according to all answers here, these days cloud mining is no profitable and possibly a scam ..

so I decided to mine at home ... but not BTC because there is no way to compete with chineses  ... and difficulty todays is very high, now I wiil be mining cryptocurrencies alternatives like ETH and DASH or whatever ...

Thank you for everybody here ... definitely the best forum about the subject ..
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining doubts on: July 21, 2016, 03:21:22 PM
what do you think about ETH or DASH ... crypto alternatives?

I don't think the mining can worth any thing in these days , because the big companies like genesis mining and others have reduced their profit rates after the halving , although they have cheap electricity and better devices , so these companies failed to make the mining worthy , for that I think the mining won't be profitable any more.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining doubts on: July 21, 2016, 03:01:27 PM
First I need to say thanks to everyone who answered my questions.

I read here about cloudming is scam ... I said that there is no other way as I was living in Brazil. and sorry, hashnest has years online ... Before years later, I was investing at cex.io cloud (ghash.io ... and dont lose anything ...
Of course, I pay for the risk of losing the investment , but I did not have alternative to income significantly ...

Another question is: anyone know when release the s9 ?

Maybe today I buy only one S7 and wait S9 release to buy more hash power ...

no one investment in the stock market I get generate so many % per day or month, so I pay for the risk ... because at Brazil ... is ridiculous ...
in 2013 bought 10 yellowjacket ... get some BTC in that year ... today I sold all 10 for $ 80 each....
In the same year I was mining at cex.io (ghash) and did not lose anything like I said above ..

I was thinking about DASH and ETHEREUM ... but price per dash or eth is low, and there is no mining cloud for these cryptocurrency ... so ... I have only one way .. buy hashpower in hashnest or not.

Again thank you to all who answered ...

Have a great day

Hello

Before reading many topics in this forum, because I'm live at Brazil, no way to buy some S7 or S9 or GPU to mine, BTC o ETH whatever ..
Price of electricity is very expensive ... kwh is + or - 9$ per day .. (average)
My question here is: When I talk here about cloud mining, each people indicate to use hashnest.com, but when used cloud mining at cex.io, i did not get good profits, and now, cex.io is not working with cloud mining anymore.
Would it be possible for you to refer me indicate to another cloud mining alternative that can be trusted ?

I have spend a good time to read and calc about values for ROI and found out that it is not a good idea to buy a S7 at hashnest according to these numbers:

initial cost for one s7 = 370$
4860GH/s
operating cost per day: 7.483$
operating cost per week: 52.38$
operating tcost per month: 224.5$

If this site: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty and my calculations is correct, to recover the investment of 370$ i would need two months.
Are these numbers correct ?

Is it worth the investment since everiday diffucult increases and ROI decreases ?

Thanks for the help !

ok, first I need to say thank to all people who help me here with your answers, but think about this ...
"2 RX 480 and got 48-50MH" = Week    $26.41 - 1 eth is: 11.9$, so, you need wait one week to sell two eth? or im said any wrong ... ?

I was think invest in 3x r9 390 xfx = 96Mh/s - per day: $7.88 per week: $55.16 per month: $236.42

i think is better idea or not?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: r9 280x ethereum on: July 15, 2016, 08:00:14 PM
Ok, but, any one know how much i got if i use r9 290x ?

+ or - ...

thanks
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: r9 280x ethereum on: July 15, 2016, 11:36:12 AM
maybe I have chance to buy r9 xfx 290x ... do you know how much i got?

thanks

280x is a good mining card but not good for ETH because every 5 days its slow down a little in speed. Try getting a 380/290 instead? Or if you can afford it then get the new 480.

Hello Rapidgator,

You right, I thinkin to start for home and small ...

Sorry for my question, and dont misunderstand, but ,how you get free electricity for legal method ? ...

And, how much is one apartment per month here .. and how much i spend a month to keep me there ...

About country, thinking about US, some place at USA have cheap electricity, I have brother in law living at miami ... but I dont think go to there ...

Maybe better still investing on stock exchange right?

Ok, first thank to your time notlist3d for answer me.
Cloud mining appears is the better idead for now, i read many times of vloud mining and always says about hashnest..

When i said: not rich.. i want to say i did not have millions of dollars to invest on this.. ofcourse i have money to relocate, if not, i never think about this.. my question here is if btc still proffi with increase diffs every time or maybe think to another cryptocurrency, maybe altcoin... just talking about options or alternatives... alternstives to stock exhange with great opportunity to increase capital more fast than ...

Thats it...

I read about altcoin A4..
But this is in another forum..

Thanks anyway

We have been reading about A4 chips for quiet a while.  I hope they come out as it would be fun to play with one.  But I would not put all eggs in that basket till sales start.

I don't know how much you have put aside but it will not be cheap.   You will need money to relocate, buy miners, buy location (renting get's tricky with modification might find rental... but hard unless long term), need a place with lot's of electricity depends on how many miners, need to pay for electrical wiring, need to pay for cooling systems (fans, evaporation all depends).  Also which country are you looking at?

To do all the above is going to be very costly depending on size your thinking.   Your question on profit as increased difficulty we cant give a blanket anwser, need to know electricity cost.    Doing all of this will no easier on altcoin A4's you deal with difficulty and you can lose, heck look at some that lost money on A2's the previous gen it dropped in price at a scary rate on units.

I think you will find hosting much easier then the international relocation, unless you just have a lot of money your putting into it.

sorry for interrupting in your thread..but i read your posts regarding relocating or mining in other country that have cheap electricity.
I don't know from how many rigs you gona start but if you want from small or home I can offer you to come to my place/country (Pakistan) as joint venture as i already planned to start mining a month ago but waiting for halving dust to calm down.
I have absolutely 24hours free electricity with 24/7 air condition without any limit free doesn't mean its stolen or getting through illegal method.
If you willing to start joint venture in Pakistan, most welcome.

Yeah, china is the best option for now ... I read many people said it ... but ... speak chinese? well, i think this is the big problem or it is only problem ..

I think the guy will like to know which country has the cheapest electricity... I think China fits the bill quite right.

Cost of living is not as high as Brazil and the place is peaceful, you do not have lots of terrorists bombing places.

There are a lot of experts there who can easily put you through should you decide to join a mining pool.

But do you speak Chinese?

I did not investing on S7 ... not good idea anymore .. waiting for S9 ... and maybe hashnest ... this a good deal.

hashnest  is cloud mining and is run by bitmaintech.

https://www.hashnest.com/

It is possible to make money from them.

Does not mean you will do so , but if you want to cloud mine use them.

they still need to add s9, they are still offering s7 only via hash, i didn't check via contract but probably the same

s7 is bad enough already no one will buy those anymore

Hello forum, hello from Brazil.

My name is Eduardo, I started using bitcoin in 2014 (If i remember ...) I bought 14 USB Miners (yellowjacket) from hashrate store ..
But before it purchased, should have study more about, because in Brazil, energy is too expansive .. here is one calculator of energy company in my city: https://www.ceee.com.br/pportal/ceee/Component/Controller.aspx?CC=1248 (I thinking to buy one S7 for 440$) every S7 uses 1300W, so, 1300W here in Brazil my bill for every month is 296$ only for energy of S7, not included internet, house, etc ...
Example:
Today with difficulty of bitcoins if I mining with S7 at 4.73TH/s per month i got: per Month   0.33928539 BTC   $233.11 this dont paid my energy ..

!no way to mining at brazil.

My question here is: I'm read about solar panels (no way at brazil too, very expansive), I'm read about some countries where energy is below 0.08 cents ...
I think, only who lives at these countries got some coins right?
Another question is: Cloud mining is not a good idea right?
And my last question: I thinking to leave from brazil and go to another country ... offcourse looking for start my farm ... (home to start , I'm not rich , start at home , buying some s7 , making btc , btc reselling and buying more s7) ...

Today I investing on the Stock Exchange ... and have some money there .. that money I use to leave from here and go to new contry where is able to mining coins ... I would like suggestions of countries where the energy was accessible to mine

Thanks to all for attention, sorry if my english is not perfect ... and congrats to this forum, best on the web.

And this is why there are hosting companies out there.  You can host your miner in a country where electricity is a fair price.   Sadly with high electricity and VAT and such some places are just not good for mining.   But you can host or cloud mining.

Phil is right go with hashnest if you want cloudmining.  There are a LOT of scams out there they will have amazing ROI calculators that make ROI seem guaranteed.  The truth is it is not guaranteed but hashnest gives you a honest chance of ROI.

On "I thinking to leave from brazil and go to another country ... offcourse looking for start my farm ... (home to start , I'm not rich , start at home , buying some s7 , making btc , btc reselling and buying more s7) ..."  You mention you are not rich, to move to another country and start a farm is going to take a good amount of money I would think in most cases.  Relocating first lot's of cost there then you have to buy a place for your mine, or find a place to rent (which can be hard).

I think honestly a good hosting option will be something in your budget.   Relocating and starting a farm I think you will need to have saved up a good amount to do which "not rich" is hard to interpret as far as how much your budget is and if it is even a remote chance.
