Far from dead actually. But it's understandable that you thought that. However, it pleases me to bring some very good news here. When I took over smartchips I quickly understood that people in here did not have high hopes. Me and Kenneth decided to just go dark and not bother with anything here on BCT before we had something to bring to the table. We put every minute we had free during the day to work on this project. We needed more people to help us out, we needed a new coin to fit the poker service I was starting to build and we needed a professional website. It quickly escalated and we got 2 new team members. Niklas came along and took the commitment to help me out with development. Where he has done an incredible job and I probably could not have finished this without him. Dustin came along and offered to be our marketing guy. It basically became a 2 part team, where me and Niklas was working on building the poker client. While Kenneth and Dustin built a website, graphics and put together a marketing plan for when the client was ready to be released. There have been some angry wife's/girlfriends/friends/family through this, as we have basically not have time for anything else. BUT, we have been successful! And we have not forgot about you guys here either. Sooooo, with a BIG smile on my face, let me introduce BLOCKPOKER!!!!https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1286883Twitter | Facebook | Reddit

Thanks Xunknown! I'll give you a PM right away, thanks for your interest in this project. So is this happening or not? Seemed to have potential...but looks like die out because useless devs (again) as usual?
I heard rumors of a couple of already existing coins in the market that will be infiltrating the gambling-gaming scene soon.........so this coin is already behind.
Useless devs? Well, last time there where no dev as fas as I could tell. How much time has went since I started on this? Not long, and I was very upfront with the fact that this would take some time and I even said there where no guarantee that I could accomplish this. There is a reason why a decentralized poker client has not been invented yet. There are numerous aspects of it that's very difficult to make work good enough for mainstream use. No one will play if you need to wait for long periods between plays. It needs to be as fast as centralized services. This is not easy, but that's the challenge I have set out to achieve. About the other coins that is supposedly infiltrating the market, that's something I can do nothing about. And if it's true and they come out with a client that is working 100% as it should before me, I will be celebrating and most likely stop my work. (Depending on how far I have come) Now, this is not something I have big faith in. Decentralized poker has been promised for quite some time, and even if someone comes out with something, the chances for it to work 100% in all the aspects is small. I may be behind, but I have one advantage. Almost zero pressure. To name one other that is working on the same as me. Pangea - https://nxtforum.org/nxtventures/pangea-poker/With a cap of 300k$, and many supporters, they have big pressure on delivering. And they have been going on for a long time. I have stated to not invest in me before I can deliver something and can prove that I am closer to a finished product then I can at the moment. I still stand for that, but I hope people can take more interest in this project. I would also like to point out that nobody has the right to complain about the time this takes and pressuring me to deliver anything that is not good enough. Because as stated above, I have not promised anything other than my full attention and hard work.

fools, SC is already Siacoin
I am aware of that. We did not choose that ticker, that was the scammers. CHIPS is what our ticker will be, and Kenneth has talked to C-cex about it, idk why it has not changed yet.

Hey guys! Development is going good. I am excited about my progress, and I don't think I am to far of to show atleast something to you guys. But don't get to optimistic though, there is still some big problems I know I will run into on the way. But I think it will be solveable.
Guess I have to say thanks to #altbulls for choosing Smartchips to help me out. It will bring a lot more eyes on me and this project, and if people can keep realistic expectations, I see it as a very good thing.
I hope the tournament suggested by Kenneth can become a reality, I would like to join if so.
Well, back to work.
Regards, Kevin

First of, I have to apologize for no communication the last week. Something personal came up, and I had very little time on the computer. But now it's out of the way and as far as I know, I have very much time to work the rest of year, at least. I have used time this week tho, but it has all gone to planning this huge project. Tomorrow I am ready to start, and I can't wait.
What I did realize is I am a developer, I am very bad at being active with the community and getting people to take interest in it really. Therefore I am very happy that Kenneth has joined me on all of this. He will be the community manager and take care of everything with this project excluding the development. He made this announcment, which is a hundred times better then the quick one I throwed up (and images show on his account). I hope this can make things easier for people to understand what has happened around Smartpoker.
I also had a very nice guy contact me and told me he was working on a new wallet for Smartchips so we can get the logo in. Not sure how far he has come, but I'll give him a few days before I ask and potentially just build one myself. Not really sure how important you guys see this and if I should prioritize it or not.

Update Today
I got a hold of the old "team" and was able to come to an agreement for the website. Which I have updated and got online now. Changes to it will come over time. Most likely I will get their twitter account to, waiting for the details.
New ANN now, so we can get a fresh start. Today has mostly just been about planning all of this for me. Laying a plan on how I will handle this. Really excited to, this will be very interesting and fun to work on.
Got some nice PMs from community members who wanted to help put with different things, which I am very grateful for.
Ticker will be changed from SC to Chips. Will contact c-cex about it asap. Will also look need to look into the wallet asap, to see if old one works or I need to create new one.

SmartPoker/SmartChips TakeoverThis project was unfortunately "started" by a scam team, which was only built on lies. But this idea is very interesting and something I have always wanted to try and build. That's why I have taken over this project and will over the next months try to build what was promised the investors. I am not giving any guarantees and can not give any dates. What I can give however is my 100%, and that's what I will do. You can read the old Smartpoker ANN and see website if you are confused about what has happened here.Quoting my takeover post from the old ANN to.Hey smartpoker community and investors.Let me introduce myself. My name is Kevin, and I am from the US of A A couple weeks ago I noticed this project like the rest of you guys. Even though I believe most of you was pumped about it, I don't think anybody was looking forward to it as much as me. With me being a fairly regluar poker player, and a developer, this is something I have been wanting to build for a long time. In fact, I contacted the team and asked if they wanted a helping hand on anything. Hoping they would show me how they managed to pull all of this off, because there is some different aspects of this client they showed that is very difficult to make work good enough that people can actually play like on normal poker clients. I was really looking forward to documents explaining all of this, but sadly as you all know, they never came and the whole thing was just a scam.. So it became a big let down for me, first because the client was not real and because all of the people that lost money, and I'll admit I lost a little bit myself. But, let's cut to the reason I am coming on here. After I had found out that it was all just a scam, I started to think about taking on this project myself. After all, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. We got a whole lot of people wanting this, and most likely some that (i hope) will be able to help me out with at least what they are able to do. It took me some time to decide, but it's because I will be taking this seriously and putting in a lot of hours and I need some capital to be able at all. But, I have decided to take it on. Right now I do have the capital to do so and I have a good amount of time before next year kicks in. BUT, I will not stress this enough. This will take time, because it's a huge project and the reason it does not exist already is because it is very difficult. So it's possible that I can't make it work, and if I do, it will as I said take a long time. I see no reason to be over optimistic and promise deadlines and result I know I can't guarantee. If the community does not want me to do this, please shout out. If not, I will get started today, and the first thing I need to do is clean up and clear things out. So, I will be making a new announcment, and I will be using parts of the old one to make it. I will also try to send the smartpoker scammers an email and ask if there is any way I can get a hold of the website they created, because with a few adjustments I can most certantly use it. So lets hope they have one good bone in their bodies. I'll be keeping the name, but as many of you warned about earlier, the ticker is no good. I personally would like to just have it "Chips", what do you guys think? And lastly for today, it would be great to get some help in this, especially now in the beginning. Maybe somebody would like to be a community manager? Hit me with a PM if you can help out with anything. Kevin It's the future of Poker. No more centralized services who take away all your profit with high rake. SmartPoker is a decentralized poker client built on blockchain technology. The centralized poker sites still has an advantage with the ability to offer bonuses and stunning design, but SmartPoker has bigger features. It's free, trustless and really easy to use.
SmartChips are the coins you need to play poker with SmartPoker. Similar to Bitcoin, built from the same technology but slightly different in specifications. However, the SmartPoker client has a built in feature that lets you deposit Bitcoin. It will automatically convert your Bitcoins to SmartChips for you, so you don't need to bother with exchanges. The same process when you withdraw. You can choose to withdraw them in SmartChips or Bitcoin. The client goes directly to the most most popular exchange to buy or sell in the market, witch is C-Cex.com at the moment.
