1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SATOSHI FINALLY REVEALED! on: May 03, 2016, 08:08:02 PM
Why doesn't he (Wright) make a post in this forum. I thought that Satoshi Nakamoto had an account on bitcointalk.org?

The real Satoshi can't make a post because that is too dangerous. Tor has been cracked by CIA.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CIA and Bitcoin on: February 02, 2016, 07:06:07 PM
The CIA is very dangerous. It is a terrorist organisation by itself. The fact that they are interested in Bitcoin makes me sad.  Cry They want to destroy this technology.

But how can they destroy it? Maybe this whole forking crap (Bitcoin Classic ....) is an attempt. The weak point of Bitcoin are the developers.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The CIA and Bitcoin on: February 01, 2016, 07:19:36 PM
Gavin Andresen had to go to the CIA and tell them how Bitcoin is working. Does anyone know more?
4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Wondering out loud: Which should Chinese miners support - Core, Classic or another? on: February 01, 2016, 07:15:39 PM
The CIA forced Gavin Andresen to visit them and explain how Bitcoin is working. Maybe they manipulated him. This is far off topic but I have a bad feeling. I would like to just stay with Bitcoin core.  Cry
5  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Wondering out loud: Which should Chinese miners support - Core, Classic or another? on: February 01, 2016, 06:58:13 PM
I have a bad feeling with this whole topic. The people push the blocksize increase too much. I don't know why it is so important to increase the blocksize. We have time to do this. If the transaction speed is too slow then just increase the transaction fees. If people move to altcoins because the fees are too high then good. We also need altcoin. The more currencies the better.

Why this much aggression? Why not wait until End of 2016 before a hard forking vote? Huh
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin server and blockchain ( with getblockchaininfo ) on: December 22, 2015, 05:48:23 PM
Is it connected to other peers? This is important to update new mined blocks.

Maybe try the command: "GetPeerInfo"
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Wired discovered the real Satoshi Nakamoto? (.. this time) on: December 16, 2015, 06:55:56 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto is intelligent enough to stay in stealth mode.

But the media can't bear that. In our society it is so important and wanted to get famous. And then comes this genius Satoshi Nakamoto and breaks all the rules.
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it possible to import a private key offline ? on: December 15, 2015, 07:20:12 PM
To import a private key offline you have to open the console of your core client and then type:

importprivkey <privkey>

Before that you have to set a password timeout. Most common use of this technique is to redeem the amount on a paper wallet.

It's becoming clear that everything the "media" pushes is a hoax, a lie, propaganda

Thats true. Good journalists are loosing their jobs when they report critical nowadays. Julian Assange must hide in an Embassy for telling the truth.

Most conspiracy theories have a true core.
10  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Soft Fork to Increase the 21M Limit? on: December 13, 2015, 06:30:32 PM
To increase the limit of 21M is not necessary because you also can increase the decimal places after the point without increasing the total amount of Bitcoins mined.

Dogecoin introduced a inflation rate but I think this is not necessary.

You can also use the rpc commands

Can you tell a little bit more about rpc commands? I didn't find them in the console when I type in help.

This is all so strange...

I don't think it is strange. It is normal and it won't be the last time there will appear a new "Satoshi Nakamoto" in the news.

all they require is a news tip that is plausible *enough.

That's the reason why I don't read newspaper anymore and surely not WIRED!
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Wired discovered the real Satoshi Nakamoto? (.. this time) on: December 09, 2015, 06:10:07 PM
I don't think he and his dead friend are "Satoshi Nakamoto". He is only seeking for attention. This is dangerous BTW. That means following:

Immediately after the story was out, police came and searched his house. Maybe the CIA will send him to Guantanamo to interrogate him and after years they will think: Wow this guy is tough, because he can't give them any useful information.

This whole story is only about giving the mainstream media more attention and so people are starting to buy the oldfashioned "WIRED" magazine. That is so poor journalism.

No one will ever know who Satoshi Nakamoto is and that's good.

By the way we had a member in our local Bitcoin group who also insisted that he worked together with Satoshi Nakamoto. Total nonsense of course. I think a lot of local Bitcoin meetups have their: "I would like to be Satoshi..." but this is dangerous BTW.

Governments do not need to "destroy" bitcoin.
Because there is no danger from it.

Governments steal our money but because they have to pay so much interest on debt there is no money left for a bitcoin attack.

By the way, politicians still dont understand what Bitcoin is. Good for us, because when criminals dont understand something they dont want to steal it.
17  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why sha256(sha256()) ? on: November 22, 2015, 04:30:50 PM
You also double SHA 256 when you build up the merkle tree.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: A bankster in the UK wants to ban big bills on: November 22, 2015, 04:22:47 PM
In Schweden they banned now all banknotes.
  Angry

They want to tax you more and more until nobody is left to tax.
19  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why sha256(sha256()) ? on: November 22, 2015, 04:15:56 PM
1. priv/pub key
2. SHA-256
3. RIPEMD-160
4. Add version byte 0
5. SHA-256
6. SHA-256
7. Take 4 bytes
8. Add 4 bytes to result of 4
9. Convert to base 58

The double SHA-256 is only for the 4 check bytes. Why is this important for security reasons?
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and Deflation of Price and Money Supply on: September 27, 2015, 03:40:52 PM
Inflation is a tax from the government.  Embarrassed

Because government is highly in debt, the only reason to survive is to inflate. And we will see a lot of inflation in 2-3 years.
