And from the 24th to today there weren't supposed to be more burns of PND? Anyway for some reason i couldn't check the link because it given me a 502 error (which is a bit strange, someone else have the same problem or it happens only at me?) and are we sure that by doing that kind of giveaway people will have an incentive to buy the coin? 900,000 PND total burned. We decided to spent last 100,000 PND (planed for burning) on some Twitter and YoBit promotion. As we say early, this is just test burn, not swap start. Sounds interesting, the coin is now revived, we need to create usecases for it. Try adding it to multifaucet.tk http://www.multifaucet.tk/And other multi currency faucet sites PandaCoin is already on multifaucet.tk

OP updated with Launch date counter.
Coin swap distribution will start 2 or 3 months before coin launch, so everyone have enough time to accumulate and stake PandaCoins
More details soon.

6 months? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Yes, we know its a long time period, but we want to be sure that everythings right and going smooth. So we have enough time to decide about coin specification, build and test coin, make website and other promo things, make swap distribution and burn PND before new coin launch, etc.

... we launch ICO for new coin. Just be patient for next few months ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) what does it mean? double scam? is it an attempt to redeem the PND for a new shitcoins? what is the guarantee that all of PND will be destroyed? As you see, we are curently in process of burning PandaCoin. Burning address we use is: https://bchain.info/PND/addr/P8bB9yPr3vVByqfmM5KXftyGckAtAdu6f8If you look at address hash, you will notice that hash is: 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000 That prove that balance from this address is unspendable. Once we start swap for new coin, users need to send PND directly to similar address (generated specialy for swap) and register their new coin address via form. Coin will be sent to users after coin launch.

"It has failed because the community has failed." - Mike says. Its not true, community is bigger and bigger every day and there is a lot of people who need to discover world of cryptocurrencies One of the main problem is that bitcoin and blockchain technology is a bit complicated for non-technical users, so they are sceptic about whole system. Also, one of the problem for bitcoin growth is that you need internet connection to process bitcoin transactions, and less than 40% of world population have internet access. Many people from 3rd world countries dont have internet or have a very bad connection. But good thing is that internet grow every day. The number of internet users has increased tenfold from 1999 to 2013. You have missed the point. The writer of the article isn't some nobody. He was one of the more prominent developers. Did you even read the article?! Yes, I read article from start to end, and what I wrote is just my opinion what is one of the main problems for bitcoin ecosystem. Mike write about gov. censorship, mining centralisation, transactions in real-world usage... everything true, but all that can be changed in the future... Remember Bitcoin in their early stage? And look where Bitcoin is now after lot od development. Bitcoin can fail one day, but that day is not soon, for sure.
