1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: unknown wallet.dat format on: December 27, 2019, 05:38:28 AM
I have found an old wallet.dat wallet

where did you "find" this file?

The transactions are from 2014 and I dont recall which coin it is.

What are you trying to say? If there is nothing you can add to the topic then dont bother fill with insults.

where did you get "insult" from? Shocked
you seem to be so sensitive! knowing where you have gotten this wallet.dat file could help a lot. for example if it was among your backup files or if it was converted by you (maybe changed the name or extension), or if it was recovered using a recovery tool from a hard disk that failed or if you bought it from the someone on the internet saying it has free coins inside.

depending on "where" you have gotten the file, the steps you could take to recover the funds are entirely different.

it seems like everyone is already mentioned by some valuable members are being neglected here. so i would like to add two more:
achow101 and gmaxwell both very knowledgeable about bitcoin and helpful, while being mostly active in technical discussion boards. if you want to learn more about bitcoin i highly recommend following these two user's posts and reading them more carefully.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 19, 2019, 01:22:51 AM
you shouldn't have had a portfolio that has altcoins in it in first place since their only direction is dumping and at times like this where bitcoin price does some small drops and then jumps back up, the result is always altcoin dumps and more dumps.
the closer we get to Christmas the more people will start cashing out and as the number of traders dwindles it becomes even easier for prices to go down.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance USDT Lending (Fixed 6% interest for 1 month period) on: December 19, 2019, 01:06:43 AM
Hey Guys!

Do anybody here lucky enough to invest on Binance lending 6% interest in USDT? I waited on this event but its already full after few minutes when it opens.

Yes, it is filled up within few minutes but anyone can lend other option too. Besides lending, there are few coins which are offering staking facilities. I am doing staking of TRX, ONE, and other coins. I think Binance is giving a huge chance of income for its members. I really appreciate this type service specially staking.

Seems there is very high demand for this USDT lending by lenders and borrowers.  Op should probably follow it closely for the next opportunity.

there are lots of traders and majority of them are already in huge losses thanks to months and months of altcoin dumps so they are jumping at any opportunity to make any small amount of profit. 6% is big so you can imagine how they rush to give their money hoping for profit.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any Potentiality for XRP Ripple to reach the sub USD $1000 Valuation mark ? on: December 05, 2019, 10:05:11 AM
I see a lot of banks are pushing for XRP's adoption into their foray into the blockchain band wagon

no bank has ever done such a thing and they will never do it either.
you are confusing Ripple with XRP, aka the technology with the token.

the token is a garbage centralized shitcoin with a ridiculously large supply that has no future and won't go anywhere above $1. best case scenario is a pump which won't last long before it falls down to 100 satoshi again...

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real problem in bitcoin (economic facts included) on: November 26, 2019, 06:34:27 AM
The real problem?  It's on Binance folks, we got a problem.  You wanna know how it was in 2017?  It was great.  We could double our money in a week and then crash and buy back in and do it all over again but something just gets in the way now.

You know I didn't ask for it....Neither did you.  Now when crypto goes up, some sociopath/psychopath tries to harass people with fake volume and fake buys.

it sounds to me more like altcoin dump issue that you experienced in Binance mainly after 2017. the problem is that you have been caught up in the shitcoin pump and dump schemes. you could close your eyes and choose any shitcoin in 2017 and double your money but that didn't last long and you got dumped on.
so yeah, you are correct it is fake but not fake volume, it is real volume but fake price rise by what we call altcoin pump. and since it is a pump, it will be followed by a dump.

none of it has anything to do with bitcoin though!
10  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: November 24, 2019, 11:41:00 AM
Also my opinion he is try to system bypass when it detected admin than banned id, sometime problem for my share ip but when i restart computer and router then solved it,  when use real need payment  some extra cost so used share IP.

your IP changed by restarting your router and it only occurred because you are by default using a dynamic IP address. otherwise if the ISP you are getting your internet from were giving you a static IP, there is nothing you could do locally to change that apart from VPNs and other IP hiding techniques.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Moving Towards $9500 Mark on: November 14, 2019, 02:18:46 PM
We feel that bitcoin is continue falling the price but i believe that bitcoin will recover in the coming months and it will goes up continue. Many investor are waiting for bitcoin price goes up and they are patiently waiting for the pop of bitcoin. Bitcoin can moving up slowly.
That’s good for them to keep waiting because the price of bitcoin will take time to recover fully. Holding, for now, is the best choice ever because it’s not sold worthy for investors yet. We should keep patience and as much as I know till the end of 2019 price will gain some more increase in price, so waiting is the only best option according to my analyzation price can increase even in days.

Talking about keeping patience, I wonder:

How will be the patience of people who bought when the price was $17000? In 2 days will be 2 years since the price reached $17000. This means that people who bought when the price was $17000, are two years holding with losses... I had also bought when the price was $17000 and sold when it fell to $15000, was a good decision because The price has dropped to $3000. hold is very good, but we need to know time to sell

people who only bought bitcoin at $17000 are newbie idiots who have already sold their coins a very long time ago (a year ago at least) because $17k was not a simple price rise over a long time lasting that much then crashing out of nowhere! it was the peak of the bubble and the end of a 2 year long bull run.

anyone who waited that long to enter bitcoin and didn't buy the entire year that price was rising slower from $700-$800 to $10000 and only bought at the very end (in the last 2 or 3 weeks) is a big idiot who has no idea what to do with his money. these people panic sell the moment price comes down from $17000 to $16999 they won't even wait for the full drop.

anybody else who bought at those levels such as investors that keep buying every months or two already know what they are getting into. they have always had plans.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be possible to use Cryptocurrencies in China? on: November 14, 2019, 01:49:49 PM
Recently, I heard ....

welcome to the forum and the cryptocurrency world.
others already explained why what you heard was wrong i want to add that one thing that you will learn pretty soon is that you shouldn't believe what you hear most of the times specially based on what the source of it is.
for instance most of the things on social media such as twitter, reddit and even forums are lies or at the very least they are exaggeration. surprisingly enough many of the crypto news sites also publish a lot of the same material.
what you should do is to always try to use your head and don't simply believe something that you read on the internet. and also try to only visit more reliable sources instead of any random website.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin price shows Bullish Momentum in Bear Market on: November 14, 2019, 01:41:45 PM
it is ok to be a newbie in the altcoin market and confuse a tiny price fluctuation with a "bullish" movement but it is not ok to write up an entire article about it and advertise that here.

It depends on the traders perspective. I don't usually base my rate on USD when I'm trading altcoin. I'm always using BTC as base currency so that my trading gauge will not be affected if ever the price of BTC drop or gains. A gain in BTC value is a good sign that altcoin price is really moving. Unlike if its only the USD price because its just the effect of BTC changing value not the altcoin itself.
nearly 99% of all the traders in this market are doing the exact same thing. nobody wants to increase their USD, they all want to make profit on their BTC and increase that. if for example you have 1 BTC today and it is worth $8000 if you can increase your BTC to 2 and it is worth $80000 in a year you have not just doubled your money, you have increased it by $152,000.
now if you invested $8000 and doubled that you only get $16,000! and that is only IF you make a profit which is near impossible with altcoins.
Majority would really accumulate Bitcoin as much as they can but there were people who are really longing for alts for them to profit.I cant blame up

people to have this kind of insight yet we know that these have still low prices which can possibly shoot up and hitting high multipliers if we do compared on
solely investing with btc. They might switch on later on but their interest was still intact thru alts neither which way as long they can benefit they wont consider
much if they are on btc or with alts being focused on.

the people who do this (buy altcoins and hold them for long term hoping for big returns) are always doing it with a bunch of altcoins (from 10 to 50) and they all end up with the same fate. they bag hold for a long time then one day they calculate their "profit" and see that they are in a huge loss. some even lose up to 95% of their money before pulling out entirely and never going back.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Question about yobit's free coins on: November 14, 2019, 01:27:05 PM
there is a gigantic number of coins that don't even exist in the real world (meaning no announcement, no blockchain, no nothing) they only exist on yobit! some of them have died but some were so shitty that the creators didn't know what to do so they only listed it on yobit.

the way their free coins used to work a couple of years ago was to attract people to their site and increase their traffic. now it works in a way that any user can start a giveaway so they use it to try and sell their shitcoins. for example they place a sell at 1 satoshi (there is no buy orders) then open the giveaway. if you claim it you either have to let it clog your wallet or have to buy the coin to be able to sell it because what you have is smaller than minimum. and when you attempt to buy you would be buying from that person opening the order.

it is a silly thing and i don't think they can make any money from it but they do it anyways.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Central Bank Cryptocurrencies Are Pointless, Says Ex-Federal Reserve Chairman on: November 14, 2019, 01:05:36 PM
they are always against it at first and only as long as they are not doing it themselves. maybe they don't see the profit in it right now and want to see others go ahead and get burnt first before they themselves jump in. otherwise in the end after this experimental phase ended and a couple of bank shitcoins were created, everyone else jumps on board too and create their own centralized shitcoin.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can CoinMarketCap default to BTC instead of USD? on: November 13, 2019, 11:03:55 AM
this option used to be possible on their website which was a great thing because everyone wants to see the prices in bitcoin as majority of those who enter altcoin market are entering with their bitcoins and would like to see how much they have lost or possibly earned on what they have invested.
you simply had to add a "#BTC" at the end of the link to get it by default, my bookmark is even set to that but they changed it back in 2017 as a manipulation of the market to prevent people from seeing the real dumps.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your price prediction of binance coin? on: November 13, 2019, 10:54:02 AM
Crypto experts

you have personally lowered the meaning of the word "expert" to a new low record.
the "actual experts" are predicting that centralized coins have an expiration date and will die sooner or later and binance coin is one of the most centralized coins among them.
on top of that, it is super pumped and that means although it can still be pumped but it is getting increasingly difficult to keep its price up.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Security Token VS Utility Token on: November 13, 2019, 10:40:04 AM
well since there is no difference between the two and they are both garbage and have no demand at all, there is not much to choose from! and so far in the past couple of years  we have seen that they keep changing the name of the tokens but in the end they are only serving one purpose and that is fund raising for the owners and then death. i have not yet seen any token that could deliver at least 10% of what they have promised. they just get pumped, some big pumps like 100% and then die off.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BTC TOUCHES 100K ? on: November 13, 2019, 10:08:03 AM
pretty much the same thing that happened all the previous time when bitcoin had a big rise. in the beginning altcoins will get dumped hard as the traders that are already in the market would cash out to go back to bitcoin market. as the price grows and the hype grows a lot of newbies come in and the scammers seeing this would start creating a lot of new coins which they will sell to these newbies and pump them to the moon thousands of percentage.
then as bitcoin bubble bursts 80% of these coins disappear just like 2018 and the remaining 20% continue dumping.
then as bitcoin reaches the bottom and reverses like 2019 the altcoins continue duping as bitcoin rises back up.

this cycle has been repeating for more than 10 years now.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] A Mysterious Airdrop Called EIDOS Is Clogging EOS to Make a Point on: November 13, 2019, 09:51:28 AM
However, who would create the attack? Developers from another platform? Holders of Ethereum? In any case, I speculate that this is the beginning of the blockchain wars hehehe.

an interesting thought for sure but i don't think this is the case. usually every altcoin is competing with bitcoin. they even spam attacked bitcoin during 2017 though multiple campaigns that were mainly funded by these altcoins such as ethereum, ripple and dash as their biggest contributors.
there isn't that much competition between altcoins! they are all pump and dumps that get their own moment in the sun when the pumpers decide to pump them.
