How come when I highlight my "cashout amount" It says a 10% fee has already been taken out?
Why is this? 10%? What's this for exactly?
Thought PPS was 5%, and I'm only using that on one miner anyway.

Cash out is cash EVERYTHING, including unconfirmed rounds and current round. 10% is incase the unconfirmed rounds are invalid.

You want to click the other buttons...

Yeah I figured it out, heh, was confused for a sec.
Just switched from a different pool, not used to lay out.

Seems to be reporting all my hash's to a single miner though when I have each PC set to a different login.
Weird. Maybe it'll fix itself when server catches up.

I'm back up and running on US2.

Im back on US1, however, the web frontend is showing funny statistics, probably parsing old stack or maybe working under heavy load.

Frontend isn't working well for me.
I made new miners just 30min or so ago....appear to be mining fine but no activity in my account.
No hashs showing or nothing.

Think I should switch pools for now or is it probably crediting me?

I made new workers....Connected my miners to them.
They seem to be mining fine however.....
Why in my EMC account(on the EMC website) not showing any activity from my workers?
It's been over 15minutes now.
5  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2000 GH/s] EMC: 0 Fee/PPS/DGM/Merged Mining/Dwolla Payout/SMS/Yubikey/More on: August 21, 2012, 05:19:37 PM
Ok, trying to switch to EMC as my main pool.
Using cgminer 2.7.1
Connecting to us1.eclipsemc.com:8337
Proper usernname/password thats on my account on the website.
Keeps saying "pool not giving enough work" and switching to my backup pool, on all 4 of my miners.

So my question is, do I have to actually forward the 8337 port?
I've been able to mine on pools that use port 8332 with no issues and without forwarding it.
But I can't seem to connect to EMC.

Is this the issue?
Can't forward ports on my current internet connection which is why I am wondering I suppose.

******EDIT******** Just read that the pool is down...ok that makes sense. Wink

Surely most everyone understands Graet.
Obviously you shouldn't be paying so much cost out of your own pocket.

Question though, is PPS going to remain at 5% or will the fee for that increase as well?

Hah! I knew that was to good to be true....I got a lil excited there though, not gonna lie.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: USA Citizen looking to exchange BTC for CAD on: July 27, 2012, 06:44:56 AM
I have about $400 in CAD that I haven't exchanged due to my bank giving me some crazy unfair totally not true exchange rate ( even though they tell me they don't charge a fee ).
I'd be willing to exchange any amount up to that you want but I am not comfortable sending $400 upfront to a stranger.
I am sure your not either, and I am aware I am a rather new member.

If there is a comfortable way for us to do the exchange feel free to let me know.
I typically don't do these sorts of transactions online and am not sure how this would be done.

I could possibly link you to my ebay business, and msg you there to prove my identity if that would make you feel more comfortable in dealing with me?

Let me know because I have been looking for a better way to convert these funds as well, seems like we could help eachother out.
9  Economy / Goods / Hi, few maybe only very slightly fucked up video cards for sale. on: July 18, 2012, 04:59:44 PM
Welp, I had a working ati 5870 reference and the fan died on me.
I bought an arctic silver aftermarket cooler for it, installed it correctly, and fans spin but computer won't recognize it.
Not sure what problem is.

Then, I have an ASUS 6950, which seems to work on and off....
Not on/off quickly but like, if I put it on the shelf for a couple weeks and pull it out, it seems to work again until I take it out, and then stops working.

I also have an MSI 6950 with unlocked shaders that simply has a broken fan and just needs it replaced.

If anybody would like to make me offers, feel free.
You can just PM me.
Willing to chat via AIM or Jabber with any interested people, but PM me for that information, have a nice night now.
10  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows 2.5.0 on: July 12, 2012, 12:33:42 AM
2.5.0 seems to lock my fan speed at 63% on a 5870 of mine.
Automatic fan speed was turned off and I had sapphire set to 85% fan speed.
CGMiner wouldn't let me change it back to 85%.
Switched back to 2.4.1 and everything went back to normal.
11  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows/osx 2.4.1 on: June 01, 2012, 08:24:43 PM
For some reason, if cgminer crashes badly ( not my computer, my computer is still up and running. )
it appears that it deletes the cgminer executable.
All the other files in the cgminer folder are there, just not the executable.
Anybody else experience this?
Has been happening to me about once every 3 weeks since around cgminer 2.3.3 I think.
I'm running windows 7 and currently using cgminer 2.4.1, just experienced this issue again.
Not sure what could be causing this. It's not standard hard disk data corruption, it's happened under 3 computers of mine now and no other programs seem to be effected.

Anti-virus? Some anti-virus programs just delete "suspected files" without any user prompt.

I'm using avast. Pretty sure avast would just sandbox it, and then notify me of that.

*edit* It does appear to be avast. It started deleting it every time I copied over on one computer until I disabled avast.

Anyway, if anybody else is using avast and experiences this problem, well, here's your explanation.

Weird though... Usually avast doesnt act like this.

16  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 5870 arctic cooling fan, safe to use AS ceramique on memory heatsinks? on: May 08, 2012, 08:52:49 PM
Ceramique isn't an adhesive. It is similar to AS5, but uses ceramics instead of silver and isn't capacitive. Are you sure you're thinking of the correct product?

I guess not.
My brother is a head IT technician for a local company and that is what he told me, I actually argued with him, but I was inclined to believe him due to his position in the field.

Guess my only option is to buy new thermal pads.
The card doesn't work without the heatsinks on...soon as one falls off it crashes.

Thanks anyway guys, sorry for my uninformed question.
17  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 5870 arctic cooling fan, safe to use AS ceramique on memory heatsinks? on: May 08, 2012, 03:44:33 PM
There will be to much space betwen Chip and cooler without the pad.
Just set down the Memoryclock to the lowest possible and dont mind, the pcb can take a lot of heat.
Later you can install the Thermalpads if you got it.

To much space? The arctic silver ceramique would permanently stick the heatsink on.
It's a sort of adhesive, but permanent, it's basically a permanent adhesive form of Arctic silver 5, but made with ceramique.
It's a thermal paste, so it should do the same thing as the pads, there wouldn't be any space between.
Just don't have much experience with arctic silver ceramique, so am not sure if it's same to use on memory.
It was recommended by a friend to do this, I just don't know if he has much experience with GPU's in particular.
18  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 5870 arctic cooling fan, safe to use AS ceramique on memory heatsinks? on: May 08, 2012, 04:44:42 AM
Can't get the arctic cooling memory heat sinks to stay stick with the thermal pads they provided.
I have some arctic silver ceramique laying around.. Pretty sure the stuff is somewhat permanent..
Would it be safe to use that to stick the memory heat sink on or is it probably a bad idea?
Could get new thermal pads I suppose but would have to wait for mail, so am wondering.
19  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows/osx 2.4.0 on: May 05, 2012, 04:59:24 PM
Every version of cgminer after I think 2.3.2 or 2.3.3 has crashed after a small amount of use.
Lost a good deal of money the last week using cgminer.
Confused as to why it just randomly exits with the newer versions?
Is there a new change I should be aware of that could possibly cause this with my settings?

Hi, I'm Hyphen.
I would like to request to be whitelisted.
I have roughly 3ghash right now, mining with slush.
Been mining for a few months now.
Not a noob...would like to ask a couple questions in a different forum relating to hardware modification relating to cooling, the infamous arctic cooling 5870 coolers as well as a question on custom heatsinks and overall DIY.
Thanks.
