1  Economy / Speculation / What's after 366.66? on: November 06, 2015, 04:46:43 AM
So I'm thinking that the 366.66 support has now become resistance...

Where do we go now? Do we hit the 300 emotional or do we go back to the August days of the 240-275? Or do we bust through that resistance? Just getting a feel from everyone.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin is a good buy right now? on: November 06, 2015, 03:12:34 AM
My 2 (non-fiat cuz that's what we do here) cents if it's worth anything...

The best alt coin to invest in is the one that has the best marketing bull shitter out there. Everything is speculative and is sometimes backed by a good theory/technology/(insert another slash word here) that makes people believe in it. Yeah I know I'm going to piss someone off by saying this but honestly, c'mon. If an alt coin can get enough smart people out there to back it, then boom goes the chart. Don't misinterpret me for saying to go with the masses, because that's not what I'm saying at all. You have to do your research, educate yourself, and be ready if it comes.

^^^ all of this is discredited though because I'm a newbie on here.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doesn't Look Good for Litecoin on: November 06, 2015, 02:15:30 AM
Bold statement. What's your backing on this theory? As everyone says, LTC is the silver to BTC being gold. One won't plummet without the other. They are directly related almost identically with LTC only being slightly delayed in market response...
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Well that escalated quickly on: November 05, 2015, 12:08:42 AM
Told people not to start taking out loans believing that the Bitcoin price would keep increasing. I assumed that the BTC price was still hovering around $400 until I checked Bitstamp on my phone at around 1:30pm (UK time) today, imagine my surprise when we were just shy of $500 in such a short time period. That should already raise a flag about a bubble Undecided

Assume I'm not the first to post this, but that graph of yours DiamondCards is very detailed and accurate. I love it. hahah.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] What do you think will be the new ATH? on: November 04, 2015, 09:41:00 PM
Looks like 500 was a big resistance. Shooting down right now... wonder where the bottom is and if we bounce back or not...
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] What do you think will be the new ATH? on: November 04, 2015, 02:46:57 PM
Call me an idiot, but why can't I vote on the poll?

Not an idiot, just a newbie :p You won't be able to vote in polls until your level has increased - I can't remember which level, but possibly regular "Member" (possibly "Full member", though).

Dang status. Always bringin' me down... haha.

There's a work around for everything > My vote is 1300. ATH then REALLY sharp pull back. Unless there is a fundamental catalyst that comes in play before then to smack it back down.

I dont think there was an option that was that lengthy but that is the one I would pick....

Call me a skeptic, but I have heard it floating around for a while and now am hearing some people come forward about it. There is a certain China based group that may be assisting with this pump in price. This happened back in the early 90s as well (obviously not with btc). This involved a similar ponzi group with a similar group name. IF they are involved with this then when they dump they will spiral it down fairly quickly.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best current cold storage method on: November 04, 2015, 03:44:45 AM
So I made  my first purchase on Coinbase and it limited me to $500.  I verified my ID and my credit card.  Is there any other way to get more BTC sooner?  I dont want to wait the 3 days or whatever it is.

You could also open an account at Circle.com.

Thanks, just did that.  Are Circle and coinbase pretty much the two to stick with?

You could also check out Gemini and Coinsetter.

I just shut down my Gemini account. I hope they can get it figured out but in the starting period I'm going to sit it out instead. Got an email from them talking about security issues and having to ramp up a lot of their security measures. Not something they should have shared directly with a customer. They also did not stick to their advertised time frames (deposit, verify, etc.). I'm sure they'll work out the kinks and I'll be back but like I said earlier, going to wait it out.

If anybody finds an article or hears anything on this can you pass along please.  Grin

Where else does everyone trade? I don't have any USD in btc-e but this makes me a bit uneasy.  I went to btc-e orininally for the bitcoin/litecoin/feathercoin/primecoin trading, however only half those exist there now. I do have a cryptsy account but have never traded anything but alts there.

I trade on Bitfinex. I dont fund through there but i do margin trade on it. They allow short trading as well so not sure if that's an option for you but I prefer to make money no matter which way the market is going.

Looks like the traffic is picking up on the site already and we haven't even opened yet! This is already exciting.

We are also working at finalizing the agreements with our first vendor (TBA upon 1st product going live)

Finally, we are thinking about doing some sort of a give-a-way for all the support. Subscribe to this post and we will have instructions on how to win!

19  Economy / Exchanges / Bitcoin Debit Card on: October 28, 2015, 02:05:23 PM
Anybody out there running around with a Bitfinex debit card?

I just read that they are launching, what sounds to be, a second version of their bitcoin debit card. Seems to be a good segue into the mass adoption/adaptation of bitcoin but I could be over-speculating here.

Thanks!

That's a bit easier on the eyes and as such might actually get read.....

Noted and addressed, thanks Rusty. Really appreciate the input!
