Oh for FUCKS sake. Just let it go already. Product is shipping. The Jaly's have already moved into 2013 (finally!) and the others aren't terribly far behind, (exception: Minirigs)

Singles: July 4, 2012 pay date

Singles are on day 11 of 425. They're almost done with the backlog!!!

Fair enough, I stand corrected on that point.

You jackass's that are still dead set on taking down BFL are just going to piss off the rest of us who are finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

No, I'm not a shill. I've got hardware on order, and I'm just as annoyed as the rest of you at the delays.

DON'T FUCK IT UP FOR THE REST OF US!

And this is why BFL make millions. Do you think you will even break even by the time you get your miner? LOL Enjoy. for the rest of us, it's called a refund.

I will enjoy, thanks very much for your concern! A side note though.. if your plan is to have BFL hit with 16k in fines per incident, exactly where do you think your refund will be coming from?

The outcome of the FTC would be that they step in and force-run BFL in a responsible way. Not everyone can win here, but the FTC would be your best chance.

No kidding - you can't even make this stuff up. The new BFL Monarch 600GH miner? - well it's already been delayed until February - see https://forums.butterflylabs.com/monarch-discussion/4420-what-monarch-group-order.html (BFL_Josh himself).  It was only launched a few days ago with claims it was going to be delivered in December! How many people have they now scammed into converting their existing BFL orders into a Monarch order (which cancels the previous order I might add).

It wasn't "launched" a few days ago, it was ANNOUNCED a few days ago. And it was clear from the beginning (to those of us who bothered to do a bit of cursory research) that it wouldn't be shipping until the current backlog of USB devices was shipped.

This is a windows app that I recently wrote to get my stats/account info in one place.
It was just for me and a mate but thought I would tidy it up a bit and post to see if it is maybe a stupid idea or not.
It has configurable Auto Refresh and shows current duration when minimized so you don't need it maximized to check for block discovery.
If there was interest/demand I would consider a mobile version too with maybe email alert for things like block discovery, threshold alerts, reward checks, worker offline etc.

Yes, I'll have some of that please.

Not trying to start a "shitstorm" here, but what did happen with block 17701 ?  I have 160+ hashes and zero BTC, and blocks 17702 and 17703 above it have already filled in and have amounts....

edit:

Now it shows  none and none.  Was the block stale or invalid?

We don't know yet. We have to wait for Slush, and he's probably in a sleep-deprivation coma.
I'm sure he'll let us know when he addresses the issue.

And... lets wait for the shitstorm over block 17701

FAQBot seems to have died in IRC, as well.

Small potatoes when the pool is down, I admit, but still needs to be brought to someone's attention.

I cannot believe that in every small group of people there's at least one idiot.

Can't trust anyone these days, can you?

Why don't the mods ever prune these threads?

Is having all 314 some-odd pages really necessary?

Yes. Every single one is a treasure, and must be preserved for future generations.

I also received some "DDoS mitigation" offers. No, I'm not going to play this game anymore...
They're trying to sell you DDoS protection?
Or the did the folks responsible offer you a ransom?

He's referring to slush's stratum proxy.

mining_proxy.exe -o coinotron.com
then
diablominer-windows.exe -u user -p pass -o localhost -r 8332

And we're down again.

Up and running on Stratum as of now.
(using DiabloMiner and mining proxy)

Slush:

If you get an opportunity, there are two requests for additional details on the website.
1: Can a date/time localization be added?
2: In the statistics page, can an additional field be populated showing the number of shares submitted for past blocks?

Thank you

My appologies for recent downtime, it was database maintenance (second and final part). Downtime was less than 10 minutes.

Was EXACTLY 10 minutes by my watch. But who is counting?
:p
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Free bitcoins! on: May 22, 2012, 07:59:25 PM
no one will ever give you free bitcoins. you have to earn them by mining or doing jobs that are needed in the services board. maybe even selling stuff.

Now that just isn't accurate.
There's the Faucet... mycryptcoin... 5minutebitcoin and several others.
Admittedly, they give only a pittance, but it adds up over time.
