3  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 4 x Canadian SILVER Centennial Coins - 2.5BTC on: October 20, 2012, 05:41:19 PM
1967 Canadian junk silver was the last year Canada produced silver coins for general circulation. The $1.00 piece and the .50 cent piece are for sure 80% silver. The .10 cent piece and the .25 cent pieces were minted both in 80% silver and 50% silver, since they were transitioning to no silver at all.

There is no hallmark to tell the difference between the 50% silver and 80% silver content coins. Roughly half minted are 50% and half are 80%. Just some more information and a heads up for those looking to buy. Very nice coins nonetheless.

The 1967 pieces I have are centennial versions though which makes the silver content 80% I believe.
4  Economy / Goods / [SOLD][WTS] 4 x Canadian SILVER Centennial Coins - 2.5BTC on: October 20, 2012, 04:57:47 PM
I am looking to do a straight trade to bitcoin for someone who is into coins or junk silver since I'm not into either.  The centennial coins are all 80% silver as well as the 1950s standard quarter (also 80%) as far as my googling revealed.

1 x 50 cent wolf centennial coin 1867-1967 - 80% silver
1 x 25 cent lynx centennial coin 1867-1967 - 80% silver
1 x 25 cent regular moose 1950 - 80% silver
1 x 10 cent centennial fish coin 1867-1967 - 80% silver

The price for all is 2.5 BTC + .5 BTC for shipping and handling.  I came up with the amount by looking at what each coin recently sold for on ebay.  I am not looking to make a profit, just a straight fair market value trade with someone into silver or coins, so if you can quote a lower ebay price that they recently sold for, I'm open.  I am looking to avoid ebay fees.

These coins aren't graded and I know the pictures aren't great but I don't have a high end camera so hopefully its enough for you to see. I am looking to sell the entire lot together.  I will be using escrow and providing tracked shipping.

edit: SOLD

I couldn't sell these for 1 btc just in case people wanted to know the ballpark market rate.  There are so many avenues where you can get these free that they are essentially worthless.
7  Economy / Services / Re: WTS Demonoid Accounts - 23BTC for 23 Accounts! - 60% OFF! on: July 06, 2012, 06:49:43 PM
Bad deal.  The asking rate on Bitmit is a lot cheaper (like .15 BTC) but you can probably bargain down.  They are kind of worthless.

9  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Origin Account with Battefield 3 Limited Edition on: June 16, 2012, 09:10:04 PM
Well you are selling the account which is almost certainly in direct violation of EA's terms of service.  I'm not really that interested in the game either but will pick it up if I can get at a great price.  I can get the limited edition retail currently as low as $22

https://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=battlefield+3+limited+edition+pc&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=17895740740237267378&sa=X&ei=DfXcT_-XIqT46QG4iNDBCw&ved=0CGkQxBUwAA

Used I can get it at $12.50

Not to mention the occasional 33% of 50% off retail sales that EA sometimes puts out.

For an origin account that could be shut down anytime, you'd have to beat those prices considerably to make it attractive.

Lol with all the pink and the heels and small dogs you couldn't get a book that was more stereotyped.  I wonder if it was written by a dude.

I'll take it for 0.5BTC
12  Economy / Marketplace / Re: HomeVPN.com - is now proudly accepting Bitcoins! on: June 15, 2012, 02:23:26 AM
I'm a user of your service and was wondering if you could include setup instructions for connecting from within a virtual machine?  I realize it may not be the most important issue out there but I'm sure there must be other customers who would like the ability to connect from within a VMWare or Virtualbox machine.

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / How would you recommend exchanging gold for BTC? on: June 14, 2012, 03:41:37 PM
I've got a 5g Credit Suisse gold bullion bar that I'd like to exchange for BTC.  They retail for about ~$350-400.  Problem is I've got no rep on this board or any other place and also I've never handled a transaction this big.  I'm wondering how you'd all recommend I go about trying to do the exchange.

Here are the options I've thought about so far:

  • Selling for cash at pawn shop, then purchasing BTC through MtGox.  I'm willing to pay the fees (relieves me of having to worry about escrow etc.), but I'm wary of lowball offers by the pawn shop.  Anyone had experience selling gold before at a pawnbroker?  If they are expecting 40%-60% of market value then I'd pass.
  • Selling it on btc-otc.  Problem is that I have no rep + I'm worried about getting stolen coins (maybe doesn't really matter since its irreversible?) + I'm not sure how much precaution I'd need to take w/regards to escrow etc.
  • In person.  Problem is I'm not in a major city.
  • Posting on "Goods".  Problem is I have no rep

Anyone have any ideas?  How would you go about doing this?
15  Economy / Securities / Re: [glbse] Rugatu Q&A on: June 14, 2012, 03:09:02 PM
Ridiculously overvalued.  Given a slice of the bounties and a few banner ads down the line, the site is worth <$1000 imo.  I would issue a ton more shares while there is still time and you don't have any competition.  gl with the venture though.  I've used the service and earned some btc.

Yes, I'd be interested in this service using a block account.

18  Economy / Goods / [WTS]Red Orchestra 2: HOS - 3 day trial pass - $0.1 BTC on: June 08, 2012, 06:57:37 PM
This is a 3-day trial passes on Steam for the amazing FPS Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad.  They are developed by Tripwire (Killing Floor) and focus on combat realism in WWII Eastern Front.  It is a PC exclusive and generally attracts an older more sophisticated crowd geared to team-play.  If you are sick of all the immaturity on COD: Modern Warfare or BF3 or want to try a different style realistic shooter, you basically have nothing to lose trying out this game with a 3 day trial pass.
