Those BSOD's suggest to me too much core overclocking/undervolting

Well, installing 16.12 did help me solve the problem! Now, let's see if it works for at least 24 hrs. Smiley

I just had this when I was installing some new cards, after a few hours of trying I managed to get it right. Using DDU inside safe mode uninstall the drivers of all of your cards, then boot into windows and manually install the driver to each card. Im using 16.12, it works on all my cards very well.

Ohh! I will try that one out soon! Thanks bud! Wink

I am literally almost bursting in tears here.. Why do I have AMD driver issues when trying to mine coins like Ethereum using Claymore for single mining. I have 5 computers and I get BSOD many times on all of them!!

Computer details:
OS: Windows 10 Student Edition
MOBO: H81 PRO BTC R2.0 (bios not flashed)
GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ OC RX 480 8GB (6x and flashed bios with the jukebox rom in silent mode)
RAM: 8GB Corsair
CPU: Intel 2.8Ghz (cheapest one I could get)
PSU: Corsair Platinium 1200W
Risers: USB and Cheap ones from China

BSOD Errors:
1. THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
2. VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR

Many times, when I have an issue with the AMD drivers, I get to see this error or worse: ethereum mining gpu0 hangs in opencl call wait. The AMD drivers are being installed automatically after installing windows and running automatic update. When I try to install the newest AMD driver 17+ I get BSOD and my Windows OS has to restart to run an automatic repair procedure. When that happens, it gets stuck and I have to reinstall Windows 10 again...!!!

Can someone please help me here! I have spent over 2 days to fix this sickening issue!

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Sapphire Nitro+ OC RX480 8GB cards not recognized when flashing rom [SOLVED!] on: May 02, 2017, 08:22:40 PM
Hi guys,

I am very new here and I just started with mining about 2 months ago, so pleased to meet you all! Wink

I have about 5 GPU miners using EthOS, but I want to change them all to Windows 10 to save energy and mine faster by flashing all of the GPU bioses with the recommended roms that are online. Right now, I've bought about 24 pieces of Sapphire Nitro+ OC RX480 8GB GPU, but after experimenting only 1 of them on Windows 10, I managed to mine about 24~25 mh/s (I had to change the memory clock from 2000 to 2200 though). So here comes the part that I am stuck with: When I finish flashing a recommended rom and restart windows, the resolution is somehow low and it also seems that my GPU isn't being recognized as an AMD or NVidia card. I get a message saying that I can't start mining (because no AMD or NVidia card is found) and after a couple seconds, my console screen closes automatically. So here are the urls I have been following without any success:

- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqJIR4FirjM&t=297s
- https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9650/sapphire-rx-480-nitro-oc-8gb-11260-01-20g-modded-bios-29-mh-downvolt

I have tried all of the roms, but none of them would let me mine on any pool... Did anyone face the same problem?

Looking forward to all your responses!
