Received coin with capsule and certificate with no problems. Great service, and loved the bonus Haribos!
Actually I was late with picking up my order, so the package was sent back. I contacted molecular and got it promptly sent again with no problems.
although you did pay for the re-shipping . thanks for posting the kind words! Heh, yup! I wasn't sure if I should mention that, I guess now that these things should be mentioned

DeaDTerra and me (as proxy for jalaman and me) have reached a mutually beneficial agreement.
I will provide a shipping service and ship all the unshipped payed orders to you guys as quickly as possible.
We're currently in the process of arranging escrow for the payment (I'm also buying some coins from DeadTerra). Once that's done, I'll pay to the escrow and then DeadTerra will ship the coins to me.
We will offer you guys the option to upgrade your order with a coin capsule and certificate for a price of BTC 0.05 per coin (including increase of shipping cost).
Once we receive the coins we will start producing the certificates, shipping and sending out tracking numbers immediately.
We hope everyone will be happy soon.
EDIT: forgot to add. If anyone is not ok with me getting his contact info, please yell.
How's this gonna work out for people that ordered through the webstore ( http://physicalbitcoins.openbtcshop.com/)? I ordered my stuff from there, and I'd say there is no connection between my account here and a purchase there.

Greetings, how can I deposit in Starfish BCB? There is no info in the OP, does that mean that it's closed to new depositors? Also, is there a minimum amount to deposit, or any other kind of limits? Thanks!

Hey payb.tc, I would like to ask you a question. What other activities do you have on this forum or around Bitcoin in general, apart from this PPT? I believe answering this would be good for your credibility, thanks!

Regarding fees, I would like to see fee rebate for the liquidity makers, much like bitfloor. It's more fun that way in my opinion

so now does pirate's business model include buying bitcoins constantly? haven't found any answer yet around here... beginning at the lows last winter, did he perhaps even rescue Bitcoin singlefootedly? I pretty sure that the last thing the pirate does is buying bitcoins He obviously lends them out to some other people at higher interests, without being nosy on where they get the bitcoins from. Ot it's a ponzi... Either of the two - feel free to choose your believes, I'm still not quite sure about mine Isn't it clear what he does? He's said as much on other threads. People lend him bitcoins that he then sells for hard currency locally at a (significant) markup. Whoever buys those coins more than likely sends them to a third party, who converts them back to fiat (possibly another fiat). Pirate moves his currency back into bitcoins. More than likely Pirate is never in fiat more than a day or two, leaving him minimally exposed to bitcoin / fiat pair volatility risk. Pirate's customer has a steady need to send currency through bitcoins on a regular basis, for payment for some ongoing good or service. These customers are paying a significant premium for this service, likely 10% or more. That's why Pirate can afford to pay 7 points per week. As long as pirate's customers' business grows (or they move more bitcoins through him) he can afford to keep paying 7% indefinitely. It is likely that at some point he may have to close to new deposits (as he has done in the past). Bitcoin is a easy way to move large amounts of currency without the use of banks or walking large amounts of cash through airports. Hell, it's better than diamonds or art. Sure is more liquid. He's doing exactly what he says he does, arbitrage with a very short term loan (The loan is as fast as he can turn hard currency to bitcoin). (If I've stepped a little too close to home, please let me know and I'll edit / delete my post.) Regarding waltmarkers' theory on the nature of pirate's business... Why would his clients pay such a high premium for this service? Why wouldn't they e.g. directly buy bitcoins from mtgox? I'm kinda new to this, and theories regarding pirate's operation are in my opinion nice case studies on how the bitcoin ecosystem works. Any shedding of light on this question would be appreciated, also I hope I'm not hijacking this thread much (just a little ).

Note: I would expect one of the most common challenges to these assertions would be, "Well, what about chemical imbalances? What about genetic predispositions?" What about child abuse? Excellent question. I would respond as follows: [...] Level 2: If you are an observer, and you observe yourself as having the body of the child that was abused, then were you even abused? (I.e. was the 'observer' abused?) This is the hardest concept to grasp. If I, the observer (the subject) can witness my body (an object), my thoughts (objects), or pain/discomfort (objects), then this implies that I am not any of these observed things. In other words, I contend that I as an observer cannot possibly be my body, my pain, or my thoughts because I am observing them. The things that I observe are "over there." Really liked this post, especially the level 2 paragraph at the end. Reminds of of Eckhart Tolle's "You are not your mind. You are the observer behind your mind." This was a good example, at least in the sense that I had an "Aha!" moment reading it

- At least some portion of his business requires locality and face-to-face type transactions
As I posted in another thread, I believe this is correct as well. However what I haven't figured out is how there is so much local volume. If there are many users, how are they so conveniently near him? And, if only one or 2 users, what are they doing with so much money? He might as well be flying around the country to meet his clients, this way there would be no locality issue.

So as I understand it, the issue here is to build a meta-chain that would contain digests of the contents of the main blockchain, in a way that would allow a lite-client to query a server for information stored into the blockchain, and use the meta-chain to verify the answer. And even the meta-chain itself would be constructed in such a way that it can be partially queried and verified using only its root hash, meaning the lite-client would only need a bound amount of storage. I hope I'm doing a good summary of what is being discussed in this thread, considering that it's pretty late at night here At any rate, subscribing, this looks really interesting.
