1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin-QT stopped syncing on: March 09, 2014, 04:29:08 PM
I deleted the whole blocks folder. I have no blkindex.dat.
I can try getting that snapshot, but I'm not sure it would help since it isn't downloading any more blocks, unless I want to manually download snapshots for the rest of my life..

It got stuck like that on me a few years ago, after I used the snapshot I was able to sync.  But I gave up on QT a while ago, blockchain is just too big, using electrum now.  Anyway, when you say you redownloaded it, did you also remove all files from the appdata folder when you uninstalled?  Wish I could help more but last version I used was .6 or something.

Thank you, downloading the snapshot made it work for some reason. I am now fully synced again, and no warning about old version. Smiley

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin-QT stopped syncing on: March 08, 2014, 08:22:08 PM
Hello! Suddenly my Bitcoin QT stopped syncing without me touching it. The behind-time kept increasing without downloading any new blocks.
I cleared out my blockchain and now it just sits like this: https://i.imgur.com/tgTYkJH.png
The client also says "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or others need to upgrade." I am already running the latest client. And I even tried redownloading it, but no change. Do I need to use the beta or what?
4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Bitcoinqt full node - Moar bandwidth on: February 23, 2014, 08:16:20 PM
Hello, I am running a full bitcoin node. Ports are open etc. Currently got 81 active connections to the bitcoin network.
However! - It is (at the moment) only using 87 KB/s. It seems to vary between 50-150 KB/s.
So heres the thing. I WANT it to use more bandwidth, I want to help the bitcoin network and use up more bandwidth. Unused bandwidth is wasted.

How do I go about doing this? Or does the network simply not need more bandwidth? Synching the wallet from scratch has always been painfully slow, so I would assume it could use some more.

Thanks in advance!

Since the reject fix, my reject percentage has doubled. from ~3-4% to ~7-9%. Sad

We dont have enought power for Doge because we don't mine in other people pool's. according to this site http://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/ dogecoin Netwrok hashrate is about 80 000 Ghs, even if we had 1 ghs we would still be aprox 1/80 000 of the network power which wouldnt be enought do generate a new block consistently in the timeframe of coin switchs.

That is a decimal. It is 89.805 GH/s at the moment, not 89 thousand. Cheesy

Just got my first payment. Sweet, sweet Bitcoins.  Kiss

What is the pool fee? Are the number on stats pages before or after fee?
All numbers are after fee, so they are your actual earnings. Our fee is progressive and depends on how good we perform in a given day. On good days we take a bit higher fee but on bad days we take very little fee. This ensures that your profits aren't hit that much on a bad day. Our fee during bad days is as low as 1%.

How high does it get on a "good day"? This seems to have been intentionally left out.

I asked this couple pages back and couldn't get a straight answer.

I didn't decide on the final model yet. I need to test the pool with more hashrate and more than 20 users that I had during closed beta. I never ran a pool before and I don't know what will be my server costs with hundreds of users. I am testing and tweaking this algorithm and don't want to commit to final numbers yet. For now please judge if it's worth to mine here based on post-fee profitability and please give me some time to test and tweak things.

I have 3.4% rejects and I'm in Europe with 200-ish ms to the pool. Seems OK.

More frequent stats would be nice, yes.

It was working for almost 2 hours, but then i got disconnected again. Or is this normal when it switches coins?

[12:32:58] Switching to pool 0 stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333

This was application restart after deploying the second fix which I announced four minutes earlier that I'm going to deploy.

Did you see any unexpected disconnects later after that?

Ah, doh! No other disconnects after htat. Smiley

Getting disconnects here, too.

Also, "Search for User" closes the submenu thing and removes the active class from the menu <li>.

Oh, If the pool isnt responding, like this;
Quote
[2013-04-15 20:16:39] HTTP request failed: Failed connect to eu-pool.give-me-ltc.com:8080;
 No error
[2013-04-15 20:16:39] submit_upstream_work json_rpc_call failed
[2013-04-15 20:16:39] ...retry after 15 seconds
, ctrl-c isnt working.

560Ti 900 core clock:
2013-04-09: [2013-04-11 03:21:01] GPU #0:  107.78 khash/s with configuration 32x4
2013-04-10: [2013-04-11 03:32:00] GPU #0:  138.84 khash/s with configuration  64x2

Sweeet!

2013-04-14: [2013-04-15 01:45:32] GPU #0:  146.28 khash/s with configuration  16x8
And no crash on ctrl-c, awesome!
But if you ctrl-c during the auto-tuning, it waits for the auto tuning to finish before shutting down.

The question is, how much further can you take this? Wink

Looks like P2Pool returns yay for whatever. But do you actually get paid for them? Do you show up on "Payouts if a block were found NOW:"?

I want my money back too, my 560Ti with the latest version is "only" (compared to cgminer its a lot) getting 100-107 kh/s!
With the latest version there are some annoying CPU spikes which freezes everything though, maybe thats just because I'm forced to use the no autotune?

You could do litecoin mining with the CPU.
Altough right now it would be more profitable to do it witht he GPU too!
