1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Transferring 25k into Gox to buy at current prices on: February 15, 2014, 02:27:02 AM
I believe that the Bitcoin market has already answered that question. The market seems to feel as if this is very risky, thus you see a 50% cut in the price of GoxBTC as opposed to BTC.
If MtGox had access to the coins they could just transfer them to other exchanges sell off and buy on their own and make crazy arbitrage.

Manual Bitcoin withdrawals should be available for larger orders. There is definitely something fishy about MtGox.

Why was the website up when the service was down?

Had I known that I'd have to wait I would have choosen one of your competitors.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is the Mt.Gox price higher than other exchanges? on: September 16, 2013, 08:34:49 AM
This is simple economics, basically it has to do with the time value of money.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 08, 2013, 03:18:01 PM
The coalition of the willing will strike Syria causing the prices of commodities to rise. This in turn will affect energy prices which will lead to an increase in BTC prices.
Keep dreaming. Cyprus, Syria, Poland. No increase for bitcoin.

Yeah I will keep dreaming. This year 1000%+ should keep the dream alive.

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the price go to $1000/BTC? on: September 05, 2013, 09:09:05 AM
Soon enough. The question is not when, the real question is how many are you able to accumulating and what the purchasing power of that arbitrary number of dollars will be.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: at what price do you plan to sell? on: August 31, 2013, 04:29:52 PM
Probably over $300.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security of using brainwallet.org for Tx's. on: August 29, 2013, 12:17:17 AM
According to this: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=45580 and http://trac.webkit.org/browser/trunk/Source/WebCore/page/Crypto.cpp Chrome implements cryptographically secure random values.

I know Opera also does that and they have Firefox running its own window.crypto.random method.

I guess you are right EmperorBob however it is not a practical approach though in my case.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security of using brainwallet.org for Tx's. on: August 28, 2013, 09:23:16 PM
The library BitcoinJS doesn't seem to have a really good impementation of random number generator: https://github.com/prusnak/papercoin/issues/2

Could this make the transactions less secure?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Security of using brainwallet.org for Tx's. on: August 28, 2013, 08:33:52 PM
I would like to know your opinion on the security on http://brainwallet.org/#tx.
I have a downloaded a offline copy with which I create a raw tx to later submit on the network. Is this pratice secure?

Also I have noticed that the original client makes new PK's for each transaction what is the benefit of doing this?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my wallets were stolen just now, can any one help me? on: August 27, 2013, 06:40:08 PM
Thank you for your reply CP1. My question was more specifically wether their way of creating raw transactions was unsecure.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my wallets were stolen just now, can any one help me? on: August 27, 2013, 06:20:49 PM
What type of level of security does "http://brainwallet.org/#tx" provide?

Do you think it could result in the heist of ones coins?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC less efficient than Visa on: August 13, 2013, 07:50:23 PM
You are assuming that the coins never will be inside a Bitcoin bank in the future. A transaction can occur off chain.
14  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Why not to panic when bitcoin drops. Analysis and charts. on: July 06, 2013, 04:04:33 PM
I agree with this article.
15  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-29 Forbes - After Liberty Reserve Shut Down, Is Bitcoin Next? on: May 29, 2013, 01:22:02 PM
No.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Religious beliefs on bitcoin on: May 25, 2013, 12:14:26 PM
If there is clear non refutable proof that Bitcoin is of the beast system. Every Christian will drop Bitcoin for commodities.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: You bunch of bitches! on: April 11, 2013, 07:33:45 PM
The only reason the price went down is because you all chickened out! Grow some fucking balls so the rest of us can be rich in peace!

Amen brother. Amen.

Now go buy ultra cheap coins and come back.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the deal? on: April 11, 2013, 01:20:15 PM
People are really easily scared. If MtGox said the price per Bitcoin was 10 usd they would sell it for that.

For me this is a buying opertunity. As I see it will recover in the coming weeks.
19  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin, The worlds second strongest currency! on: April 01, 2013, 04:43:30 PM
Please make a prediction as to when BTC will be the worlds number one currency.

Currently Gold is #1 measured in the standard units of the currency.
I believe BTC will surpass gold before December 2013.

Lösningen till kollektivistiska problem är inte mer kollektivism. Det är av det motsatta tänkande, individualism. Du måste frigöra dig själv.
