MultiBit is new, most of us dont know much about it.
If you want a real support, PM the developer, we aren't help desk to help anytime with anything.

Dark,
The comments re: feedback was not a negative one regarding not hearing from anyone. Far from it mate, I'm not that impatient. Fixing it was great, what I'm saying is that moment where you're not really sure of what's really about to happen next, right before you go "click" and you're thinking oh boy, is this going to work..............

So apologies for what could very well be a repeat of a previous question but have spent 45mins searching on the forums and now it's time to put a question out there to those more able to understand what's possibly going on.

Set up a MultiBit Wallet last night. Deposited AUD $ into the account at 11 am today. At 5:30 pm there is still no BTC.

This is the first time I've used MultiBit and understand there might be some sync thats needed. Am trying to move over from Bitcoin Qt which is still syncing and thats three days ago. When I start up MultiBit, bottom left screen says
(in red) connecting then after 10-20 sec
(in green) Online with a grey bar about 2 inch (6 cms) in length and then something along the lines of "synchronising with network"
This last about 10 seconds then disappears. But I still have 0 BTC.

So.......when i hover over the grey bar it says "synchronising with network" and if I hover over Online it says:
Number of blocks: 208,008
Date of last block:15 November 2012 18:58
Connected to 4 peer(s)

But.......this hasn't moved in nearly two hours. Is 208,008 all the blocks in the chain? I can confirm through blockexplorer that the BTC has been delivered by SpendBitCoins.

What am i doing wrong, what is going on and what else do the gurus need to know to help?
Running Max OSX 10.6 and MultiBit 0.4.14

Thanks all

I ended up fixing the issue. I reset the blockchain and transaction to the 14th and the coins have come through. It wasn't syncing for some reason and was freezing on the 15th. This time when I hovered over the grey bar it showed details that weren't there earlier.

All fixed however resetting that blockchain without any real feedback was disconcerting.

Hi everyone smarter than I am (that'll be most of you I reckon)

I am having some initial issues with my MultiBit Wallet.

I run an Apple Mac OSX 10.6 and have the MultiBit wallet 0.4.14

I have a Bitcoin QT wallet which having not used for months has taken over three days to sync and still is. This is very unreasonable but unfortunately i deposited funds into there before i started to sync (lesson learnt there!)

So i set up a MultiBit wallet last night, deposited $$ AUD this morning (11am AEST) and it is now 4:30pm AEST and still no sign of these.

I have confirmation that it has been deposited by SpendBitcoins and this confirmation is available to be looked at on blockexplorer.

I thought MulitBit was alot faster than QT

Have a done something wrong?

Thanks

Hey everyone, just another newbie on the BitCoin forum. Agree with these restrictions, if you see some of the other forums sites I've been on recently this is the way forward.
