1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: November 21, 2015, 11:23:55 AM
Simple and easy payment i think..and easy transaction

Fast transaction than fiat. The bitcoin does not rely on a third party such as bank to do transaction. So it is more independent.

3  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin and how it is in different countires on: November 04, 2015, 07:32:21 PM
If bitcoin is proved to be useful and successful in other countries. The government which ban the bitcoin will legalize it and its people will benefit from it.
4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Gemini Hits daily volume of 1000btc on: November 04, 2015, 12:12:28 PM
3000 for a new exchange is very impressive. It is located in New York and regulated by authority. That is just a start. In the future, it could become the largest.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is about to be $5K-$8K ++ on: November 03, 2015, 10:30:18 AM
I hope that the price of $5K-$8K+ will be at next year.
After the halving period there are many chances to grab this price.
Otherwise there should be lots of pumps since its firstly impossible.

I do not hope so. I like the price of $5K-$8K+ in 2-3 years. We do not want a big bubble this time. I still remember the two year bear market from 2013-2015.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: 300'000$/BTC in a dream on: November 02, 2015, 10:10:39 AM
There should be bitcoin investments to see that kind of prices.
Currently it seems nearly impossible (actually it is possible but we are too far away from that point). Noone knows what future is gonna give to us.

Not necessary for bitcoin investments to see that kind of prices. If bitcoin is widely adopted, meaning used. The price of bitcoin can be very high, like $300k or even higher.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: October 31, 2015, 10:11:50 PM
With bitcoin, you can store the bitcoin yourself. You do not have to pay bank fees. During a negative interest interest rate environment, if you save money in banks, you have to pay fees.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin problems? on: October 31, 2015, 08:34:29 PM
Thank you all for the answer.

Reading a lot of posts of famous media or some blog the alert everytime on:

- BTC cause to much pollution and energy usage (more than actual FIAT, bank, system)

Well, it is way less than the fiat or banking system. But still, bitcoin has it's problems.

For example, the current hashpower is 100 times higher than needed. 1% of that hashpower would be enough to hold the bitcoin network secure. So there is no reason for the "fee market" the 1MB block fans propagate. Miners need to trim down their miners. It happened all the time. Nobody mines bitcoin with GPU or CPU anymore now. Those miners were switched off. So when the reward is way way lower then bitcoin will still survive even with many miners switching off their miners.

And this hugely overloaded system has another problem. A study, some months ago, showed that ONE bitcoin transaction needs so much power like 1.75 average US-households use in electricity per day. ONE transaction. If the transactions has more than one input and 2 outputs then this power consumption grows even.

So at the moment bitcoin surely is not environmental friendly because the reward for miners is too high.

Next year, we will have halving. So it will be more environmental friendly.

Wait a moment, if the bitcoin price rise by 4 times, it will be even less environmental friendly.

Mining is pretty useless unless you mine an altcoin that then happens to get pumped. It's a lottery to find out what shitcoin will get pumped out of the thousands that are out there. The mining process is only on the first days where you could get a lot, and the pump can last literally minutes before it crashes. Too risky. Well, if you mine them, not that risky, but a waste of time and electricity.

At present, it is still profit to mine Eth if your electricity price is low. If the price of Eth drop another 30%, then it is not profitable.

I prefer bitcoin because it is easier to get

Bitcoin is difficult to get. You may get some from faucets, but the amount is very small. We all have to work hard to get some bitcoins.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: October 31, 2015, 12:15:55 PM
It is the same because they are both currencies. It is different because bitcoin is a store of value. It will rise in value in long term. The dollar always drops in value.
I agree with you that value of bitcoin will be rise in long term and i think should invest it but i don't think so that dollar always drops in value. It depends on the condition of the future

From the past experience, dollar always drop in value. This was proved the inflation index. Over any 5 year period, the inflation figure is positive.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: 300'000$/BTC in a dream on: October 31, 2015, 09:39:23 AM
i think your dreams won't come true and that is impossible to see bitcoin price reach to $300.000 especially for the next 10 years

For the next 20 years, the price could be $300k. It depends on the adoption of bticoin and it is used in actual transactions.

13  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is about to be $5K-$8K ++ on: October 31, 2015, 07:44:10 AM
I wasn't able to track down the article but I think its kind of recent...maybe in Business Week. Talks about a company that is charging around 1.3% for world wide remittances when the world bank estimates that average fees from banks and couriers are around 8%. Also world bank estimates world wide remittance amount to about 583 billion per year. Didn't mention bitcoin.

If 10% of the $583 billion is represented in bitcoin, that is about $3,800 per bitcoin. Bitcoin can also be use in online purchase.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: 300'000$/BTC in a dream on: October 30, 2015, 10:00:04 PM
$300k is possible in 20 year's time. IF 25% of US GPU is represented in bitcoin. That requires bitcoin to be used as currency.
15  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-30] It’s All About the Blockchain on: October 30, 2015, 05:56:09 PM
Blockchain is very hot. It is an enabling technology. Bitcoin is the common money, all banks will use bitcoin one day.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: October 30, 2015, 04:11:15 PM
BTC = USD - it is the same, please  Cheesy

It is the same because they are both currencies. It is different because bitcoin is a store of value. It will rise in value in long term. The dollar always drops in value.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: October 30, 2015, 01:11:19 PM
There are rumors of negative interest rate and cash confiscation in the US.  I can see it happening.

Zero interest rates are what is supporting the stock market.  Bitcoin is a good way to trade without going to banks and maybe hold onto your wealth.

Interest rate is negative. We all know that.

There will be no cash confiscation. The Fed will just print  more dollar bill. That is the same as cash confiscation.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is about to be $5K-$8K ++ on: October 30, 2015, 08:59:18 AM

But even $100.000 isn't a life-changing amount, sure, it's nice to have, but it's not like you can stop working after having $100.000 And wasting it on a car/house/holiday is stupid.

I might invest it to start a company or something, and in that way it might be lifechanging, but even than investing all of it would be risky. So i'd probably only risk a small portion of it.

$1M might change my life a bit. I will use half of that to improve my quality and invest the rest. Maybe 25% in bitcoin, and 25% in stocks and shares.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is about to be $5K-$8K ++ on: October 29, 2015, 05:40:10 PM

The bot may be partially responsible, but peoples greediness and unwillingness to part at 2x profit was the major reason for it actually going as high as it did.

Well let's be honest, if I wanted to make a 2x profit i'd go back to selling junk on ebay. I'm here for the 100x-200x potential profit in the long-run. People can call it greed, I just call it investing.

100x would be $30,000. That should be achievable when 1% of US treasury money come into back bitcoin and bitcoin is used for paying salary.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is about to be $5K-$8K ++ on: October 28, 2015, 08:42:41 PM
We can use the US treasury bonds as an example. The new ceiling is just below 20 trillion. If 1% of the money enters bitcoin, that is 200 billion. Divided that by 16 million bitcoin (supply in a few years), that is $12.5k/bitcoin.
