1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: June 21, 2017, 11:13:53 AM
Very nice to see that a new exchange is adding Cloak...
I am sure we will see more exchanges in future Smiley

Yeah bitshares next maybe? Cloak is the most fungible asset in the crypto space if you dig in to the tech a bit.. Monero is good but cloak has tech edge it just doesn't yet have the network effect but it will come.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: when will chinese exchanges resume withdrawals? on: May 17, 2017, 11:13:34 AM
Since the beginning of 2017 bitcoin traders have been focused on the ongoing developments between China’s central bank and bitcoin exchanges residing within the country.

Over the past two months, withdrawals have been suspended across nearly every major Chinese bitcoin trading platform with no word on when suspensions will be lifted.

For now, over-the-counter markets and Localbitcoins trades are the only options for big cryptocurrency traders in China, while the entire world wonders when Chinese exchanges
will resume withdrawals.

When do you think chinese exchanges will resume withdrawals?
I think Chinese exchangers will resume withdrawals depend on decision of government
we don't know when is happen because still there are not announcement
but if it happen becoming good news for bitcoin at China
so gives them time to make desicion and discussion about it.

I do not believe so. The People's Bank of China will keep extending the ban on withdrawals until the exchanges themselves will voluntary close because of the lack of users and profit.

Check the prices of Bitcoin in the top Chinese exchanges. They are among the lowest now. Before the ban they were the ones pumping the price.

So you are saying they will just confiscate the assets?
I have bitcoin on bitvc locked in there and I'm not from china.. It clearly stated they catered towards global business and I liked their platform. So now I will be victimized by the government of china?

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero's ANON FAIL ! on: December 09, 2016, 06:26:37 PM
So i have a few questions..

If ANON was needed so badly why did the dev's not submit the idea to the Bitcoin core dev's foundation etc ?
Was it because they knew it would be rejected ?

Seems to me i am not the only one who has rejected this anon coin idea huh ?
Otherwise BTC would have anon code in it already mirroring what Monero is doing.

I love how they patronize everyone and say it's needed.. but the entire Bitcoin world rejects them.
Not just .. Spoetnik  Cheesy

Instead they felt the need to create a NEW coin and tack on ANON features..
Rather than trying to get the ANON code integrated into BTC.

Hmm i wonder why ? Any idea why people ?
Why is it they would want to start a new coin ? hmmmm ? Maybe Risto can answer he bought LOTS of them and controls the coin.

Yeah.. the guy with the Pink Bentley who lives in a castle.

So what do we see bottom line ?
Want Morono's ? well guess what ? you need to buy them.. with Bitcoin  Cheesy
Yup.. Bitcoin hahahhahahah

AND ...

You can line up at Poloniex the official shitcoin exchange for them to buy them clutching your picture ID.

So Profiteers.. do you see through this retarded little facade ?

The reason why Anon is not in bitcoin is there are TRADEOFFS for everything.
No one blockchain tech can meet all demands;
Security, Speed, Fungibility, Privacy, Merchant-ability etc.
Hence the need for at least a few alt cryptos that can fill the niche.

That being said I think Cloak is a lot better than Monero tech wise.

Ok check this out this was REALLY FUN. Grin. doing a bit of early xmas gift giving.

First I went here http://cloakcoin.com/paperwallet.php
And printed out some wallets
Note: I think we should change the dark address contrast (asthetics) but other than that it looks cool enough.
I then increased the size cause i don't like how small it prints..

Then I loaded them up with some cloak and verified it via the http://explorer.cloakcoin.com/
note: that is down for maintenance as I type but should be back soon is my guess.

Then I printed message on back and I gave two of them to two friends who have children (both had more than 10 years left until they get to college) .. Thing is IF you consider the Market Cap of Monero which is increasing and the total supply and inflation yada yada .. Long term these currencies should grow quite well..

I put on the back the long term estimated value and even with small amounts its enough to really help out with college funding.

The fun part comes in when you hand over the printed crypto notes and start explaining it..  You start with the potential , mention the caveat of no guarantees and get into the nitty griddy showing how they can scan qr's and get balances. Showing coinmarketcap.com to track its progress etc.  (I will be working on a free cookie based portfolio tracker this weekend to make it really cool)

Thing is guys.. times are kind tough, for me at least, so this was a way I could give without going bankrupt and that is a lot of fun. Plus now we got 2 more people thinking about crypto etc.

I gave them each Bitcoin (very small) / Cloak (a bit more) and RISE as the college fund portfolio.
Rise is really a long shot while cloak is more of a sure deal long term,
but I wanted a non ethereum smart contract platform in the mix.

Just something about printing out crypto that is empowering.

Happy Holidays Smiley

These updates sure do make me want to invest.
Fuck. Its so nerveracking

Robert when is your movie Vaxxed gonna come out? LOL

I'm new to cloak but i found it looking for A POS coin that was fast and had true anonymity / privacy.
With all the tyranny of places like coinbase and other large exchanges I see the writing on the wall.

I looked at Zcash but it didn't smell right during ICO and luckily I didn't get suckered in.
Monero is cool but I think their tech is not nearly as good as cloaks.

My strategy is to invest regularly like keep buying a little each day as I think in late 2017 it will pass Monero in market cap. If that happens and considering limited inflation it should be easy 100x Investment by end 2017 early 2018.  I just have a real good feeling about the guys behind this and the technology. Buy and hold is my strategy and tell others about it see if we can all work together to get true fungible coin into the main stream.

Privacy = fungibility and that has great value to me. So we will see if I'm right or wrong in the near future.

Anybody know of any alts that run javascript as a smart contract platform other than lisk and rise? I'm also looking to add one of those to my portfolio. Lisk and Rise are cool but just keep dragging feet dev wise.

Cloakcoin has a lot of potential I C it eventually outdoing monero and being a top 5 coin.
What we need to focus on is getting others involved and merchant services.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2017 Predictions on: December 01, 2016, 07:49:34 AM
You guys have no understanding what bitcoin is if you think, in this unstable financial environment that bitcoin would be less than $3000 is beyond me.

Everybody just spews their prediction with no REASON behind it..

Look Price is determined by Supply and Demand.
Demand is determined by CAPITAL FLOWS from competing markets.

Do you guys realize how small $11 Billion is in terms of financial markets? Honestly?

Apple (1 company) is worth $600 Billion dollars.  Paypal ( a completely crap system) is worth $50 Billion and it's totally proprietary.

There is a total of $365 Trillion in world markets including real estate.

Bitcoin is THE ONLY SYSTEM ON PLANET EARTH that is decentralized and trust-less.

Just as a store of Wealth it competes with Gold a $7 Trillion dollar market cap.

The odds of a market cap <$35 Billion next year is LOW..

So take ( $35-$45 Billion / 16 Million ) and this is WORSE CASE SCENARIO price of bitcoin by end of 2017.

If seqwit and LN and a moderate 2mb on chain solution is reached by q1 ro q2 next year this figure will tripple.

I don't want to be rude but I'm a bit miffed at the lack of understanding of Capital Markets and the nature of Bitcoin as an efficient competitor to these markets.

Hope I didn't offend but in my honest opinion you guys should really understand the ramifications of what Bitcoin really is and can do.
9  Bitcoin / Meetups / Bitcoin live chat Lounge come say hello. - current topic is btc Price Breakout on: November 26, 2015, 02:25:06 AM
We made this virtual room all about bitcoin and crypto with live chat ..
even play online golf with other bitcoiners in voice conferences.

Why are bitcoiners so cool?

Well they are early adopters and most understand the implications of freedom for the little guy.
It's a David and Goliath story in the making and the bitcoiners of today are not the brainwashed coward sheep that permeates society but rather gutsy intelligent early adopters.

I'm sure there are jerks in the btc community but the percentages are better than the main stream.

So next time our bored and want some laid back but intelligent chat try hanging out in the free lounge
https://vroom.club/room/364/freedomnow our bitcoin talk lounge.  BLOG / CHAT  Smiley

Sometimes the room gets busy other times you have to wait a while before someone comes in.

Anway,  hope to cya there.
