Is this for real? Would you allow for escrow?
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Idea] Router that can run a full node on: May 25, 2014, 08:43:45 AM
would be based off their new apu design, alix boards are the shit Smiley

I suggest to do the initial sync on a desktop computer to avoid the router the hard work.

When I say plug & play, the box will come preloaded with the blockchain (possibly as an option since some people might want to do this themselves)

---

Also, I already have a hardware manufacturer that would be able to build these out, and I'm most curious if people would be willing to invest in something like this? I might consider pre-orders, but would prefer to just have raw interest & just build out units.

Not planning on building out a computer, it'll be small (around 6x6x1 inches) ; run on very low power, and look pretty Smiley

I'm gauging interest in a new idea, and wondering what pricepoint people would be happy putting into something like this?

The basic idea would be a router that runs a full bitcoin node (maybe even a localized electrum node). Easy to configure web interface, some usb ports if you wanted to plug in a miner, plug & play configuration.

General rundown of router hardware:
1Ghz processor
2-4gb ram
at least 60gb msata card (abitily to have sata ssd for more space)
3 GB ethernet ports
optional wifi
usb

Software:
Openwrt w/ an interface to see how your node is doing, graph / chart goodness for router stats.

Pricing:
Was thinking ~$300 for base model w/o wifi ; with a few upgrade options (4gb ram; bigger msata; internal hard drive (for storing junk / torrenting / running mesh network)

I could probably get the pricing lower, just would need to have enough interest to build out enough boards.

---

Let me know what you guys think, and any other options that you would be interested in. This is a project that I could have up and running within the next few weeks if the interest was there, and most likely have routers availiable to buy within the next month to month & 1/2.

Can you post proof that these are hashing at full 1th per box please?

Ohmigosh; mateo has been such a pleasure to work with.

I got a few cards, they arrived promptly, sent some money to one of them via btc-e visa/mastercard funding method, and the money didn't show up. Come to find out you HAVE to send a few dollars to activate the card (via IBAN first). He helped me out by sending a couple bucks, card is activated, all the money I sent was there waiting for me Smiley

Thanks for being awesome, would absolutely recommend buying from him. Just went out to sushi via anon bitcoin, super excited!

What happens when all the initial investments have been returned? What will the rate of profit distrubution amount to at this time?

Figure it would be nice to ask, and thanks for the verification. I read that you reviewed the site & didn't say anything about it so I assumed, yet it never hurts to ask.

@ABitInterested

Any way you can verify that we're not funding a kiddie porn site?

Yikes, dude. Don't think I'd go slinging that around if you want any more investment in the site. ABI did show me the site when I was vetting it for my initial investment; I know he's keen to keep it under wraps, so he likely isn't going to just post the URL publicly. I can, however, say that the site is definitely public, legal, and very above-board.

I might own a few Smiley ; I figured I would ask none-the-less even though I assumed as much.

There are still shares left; 7,357.2 shares have been sold out of the total of 40,000.

I've sent an email to ABI, hopefully he'll be around soon to answer the PMs and update earnings.

What happens if we would like to pull out our investment?

fsk141, I'm nearly positive that, like all BTC securities, there's an implicit "no refunds policy" here. How many shares do you have?

One of my favorite sites for purchasing things with bitcoin!

Their support is AMAZING & they provide one of the most splendid services for people that want to spend their coin easily.
