2  Other / Beginners & Help / Safest storage for bitcoins? on: April 09, 2013, 01:27:05 PM
Well with the price keep rising Iam worrying that I might loose my coins cause they arent kept in a safe place. Currently they are at a internet market, but iam thinking of moving them to Bitstamp. What are the safest places to keep them? On your computer, but then you can loose them if your computer crashes right? On a internet bank?

Bitstamp always worked perfect for me and they are great for SEPA transfers.
Maybe OP is trolling or spreading FUD working for a competitor.
Anyway, I would appreciate a confirmation from any other bitstamp customer.

its been working great for me aswell. I used it twice the last time was not more then 2 weeks ago. Now I cant tho.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Good SEPA bitcoin trading sites other than Bitstamp? on: February 28, 2013, 01:29:59 PM
I cant use Bitstamp anymore because my bank told me Slovenia had closed bitstamps account because of Fraud. So I need a new bitcoin site where I can make SEPA transfers. Mtgox requires you to send in ID and other information before you can do that so I rather not use them.

The bank actually told you they closed Bitstamp's account because of fraud? I find that hard to believe, but that may just be because I'm used to banks having policies about non-disclosure and privacy of information...

My bank told me that Slovenia had closed bitstamps account ebcause of fraud. I had to ask the same question 3 times in a row just to make sure I heard it right.

Yday I tried to make a transfer to bitstamp ( my third time). It wasnt possible for some reason, and afer being in telephone with my bank for over 1 hour today they told me that Slovenia had stopped all transactions to bitstamps account because of fraud.

Is this true? That means that nobody can transfer money to their account, so have anyone tried in the last 24 hours?

can you clarify the situation?
 1. your bank suspended its operations with Bitstamp
 2. Bitstamp's bank account in Slovenia was frozen by their bank

which one is that?

2.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitstamp NOT closed because of fraud on: February 28, 2013, 12:28:16 PM
update: This problem is now fixed and it seems like the bitstamp account never was "closed because of fraud", that was just bad information from my bank. I can once again transfer funds to bitstamp.

8  Other / Beginners & Help / What have caused the rise and fall of bitcoin prices in the past? on: January 28, 2013, 10:23:45 AM
Being relativly new to the bitcoin market it's worrying to me when looking at how the bitcoin market have changed, worrying because my bitcoins today might be worth alot less tomorrow.
Just take a look at this graph showing the market for the last 6 months, it has never been stable for long at all.

So my question is what caused the sudden raises and falls? Especially back in August, over a few weeks the market skyrocketed, and then in a day or a few days went rock bottom. why? and what causes the bitcoin to raise and raise in price today?
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin price skyrocket? on: July 17, 2012, 06:44:10 PM
Hi. I never heard about Bitcoins before 1 week ago. Then a bitcoin costed around 6.7 US dollar, today it costs 8.3 US dollar. So if you want to buy 10 bitcoins for example, today you would have to spend 16 more dollars compared to 1 week ago.

Iam not a economic expert but this seems like a HUGEEEE increse in such a short time..

Anyone knows if the price is going to go down sometimes, or will it just continue to raise?

Hello. So yesterday night I decided to transfer some money to my Bitstamp account. So I made a EU bank transfer through my bank, and this morning when I checked my bank page it said that 65 Euro had been transfered to Bitstamps Bank.

However when I log into Bitstamp I have no money added!!! Are they trying to scam me or is it normal that its a delay like this :s?

12  Other / Beginners & Help / Need Help buying Bitcoins, brain hurts.. on: July 12, 2012, 06:18:25 PM
So. I might not be the brightest person but atleast Ive tried to sort it out myself...

Anyway for almost a full day now Ive tried to find out the best way to buy Bitcoins, and even though I have no idea if these 2 sites are good Iam currently thinking of buying from either bitstamp.net or mtgox.com.

Starting with mtgox.com

I go to Add Funds and I get a few "Please Choose A Funding Method" options, and without choosing one you can scroll down and in the bottom it says: Please visit https://www.aurumxchange.com/funding/mtgox for easy to follow instructions on how to fund your account. So basicually you have to visit another site to get bitcoins into my mtgox account??

At the "Please Choose A Funding Method" options, if I choose Europe Bank Transfer I dont get redericted to that other site, instead I have to verify my account through sending in a copy of my passport, something I dont really wanna do..

So my question is, if I do the first option, visit that other site and somehow buy coins from that site, do i then transfer it to my mtgox account? Do i need to verify with a passport if I choose this option sometime? Why would the mtgox want me to visit another site it just sounds like a big hassle.. why not just do everything on mtgox.com...

Since I need to transfer bitcoins to another site, where Iam gonna buy stuff it will be alot of transfers :s.. First this aurumxchange.com site, then to mtgox then transfer my coins to the site i want to buy stuff from........

Bitstamp seems to be easier, but is it a good site? I dunno...
