You guys are correct. I apologize for making the thread like i did. Last time i logged in was a few years ago, not sure if i even posted. Like I said in a previous post, when i first made my account, i had lost all data, password, even the email addy.  This account was made in 2012. Theymos did me a solid back in the day and combined a couple accounts to help with my hide my identity. Just like Silk Road, I probably made 10 accounts because I kept forgetting the damn password or something...

I have no ulterior motive. Just came back..

This raises a lot of suspicion, What is the need announcing that you are back?

Your account just woke up for the first time since 8/9/2022 and last post made even farther in the past (January 2019). What have you been up to? and why will a "Hero member" not know that making a post about them being back is unnecessary and a spam. Sad

you are correct. I wanted to see if i could remember my log in, i did and made an impulsive post.. My bad. Moderator, please delete

I'll go back to my slumber...

You don't need to go back to slumber because of an observation. @Rruchi man is just concerned because of some challenges such as account hacks and sells. We want to be sure that you are the real owner of the account and what you are saying is true. I am happy that you are back in the forum because your positive contribution to the forum will be helpful to the community. Also if you think that the forum was helpful to you and you enjoyed the forum before you became inactive then just a simple observation should not make you leave. If you are passionate to learn and interact with like-minds, a little criticism shouldn't deter you. You are welcome back.

Yes, you are right.. But Rruchi is also correct.. I hate scammers, etc..  I have been a target of scammers and hackers since the end of Silk Road. If I can help one person, it will be worth it.. but yes, I CPU mined, GPU, FPGAs and as you can tell by my posts was one of the first to receive and mine with ASICs

If you need more verification that I am who i say i am, just let me know.. or dont, lol. I know who i am I am not here to sell or have any agenda. Thats not true, I do have an agenda.. To spread the word of bitcoin..

Ive stayed away for the last few years, but im back.. I see a lot of old but wow, so many new faces...Bitcoin sure has come along way since I opened my first account here in early 2011..
Wow! But yes, many things have changed not only in this forum but also with the market price of cryptos as we can see. If your comeback is concerning things in this forum then there's this new system of ranking up procedure which will require you a particular number of merits. Also with projects, mostly are signature campaigns and only a few are succeeding in this industry. It is in between being good and not. As others have mentioned, most of us would be curious of your token holdings especially for being an early investor. But one thing is assured; this industry is still growing in line with what we are believing when it comes at being one. If you are planning to cope up with this industry's progress  then it will never be too late to do so.

I cant believe how things have changed.. I remember my first bitcoin purchase with Jeb Mcaleb (sp?) on mt. gox before  Karpeles purchased it. It was pretty cool, email and paypal, thats how I bought my first btc, lol. then i mined the shit out of them for years..

Im a hard bitcoiner now. Damn near a maxi now...no, Ill say it, Im a bitcoin maxi,. Sure, Ive been into a lot shit coins, worked for wagerr, and Beaxy.. so, Bitcoin has been pretty good for me over he last decade or so...

I just learned that if you trade or buy anything but bitcoin, youll only get burned in the end. I was in the ETH ICO and Tezos ico, list goes on..bitcoin will always be king. there is no second best. Took me too long to figure that out..

Thanks

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NIX - Next gen privacy currency & multi-layered interoperability platform on: January 20, 2019, 05:18:01 AM
how much total supply from nix? why can't I download the android version of Nix Wallet? my device does not support, is Nix Wallet not compatible with android version 5.0.2?

I have an android device and it seems to be working just fine...
BTW, I think the NIX Platform is awesome. Not just a privacy coin but a privacy platform...
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NIX - Ghost Protocol / DEX Manager on: January 18, 2019, 06:56:57 PM
I can assure you that NIX has plans on marketing. But marketing has to be done right. If you advertise too quickly and you have an immature product, that will hurt you, if not kill it. So, since they a great product that will continually to get better and items to be added, the will be marketing NIX well. I think doing it now is great. Its the perfect time. A real product that is working. I believe they are on schedule with the white paper.

9  Economy / Auctions / Buddy has a .5btc loaded 2013 casiscus (sp) bronze hologram coin. on: December 13, 2017, 08:30:33 AM
Just like the title says. he has a .5btc loaded casiscus bronze coin in the container when he bought it from the site a few years ago, he wants 1.5btc for it. is it a good deal? I'm sure it still has the bitcoin cash coin and btg as well. Ive looked at the site where people sell them and a .5btc goes from 1.4btc to 2k btc, lol.. huge discrepancy. wondered what you guys think its worth..

thanks

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Missing Bitcoins Advice needed. HELP! on: October 02, 2017, 10:36:34 PM
Sounds like the problem might not have been in the Trezor. First of all it is quite safe wallet and secondly not all your funds are gone, so there you go. I would look more into those addresses that got their coins stolen, I doubt some address was only partially emptied, I would assume that only some of your addresses were emptied and the ones that were are completely empty now. So I would trace my steps back about those addresses particularly, what is so special about them, what do they all have in common?

As for the altcoins, not only could be the same thing as I said above, but they also might have had trouble learning about how to use them and all, different wallets and making sure they can do in anonymously,...who knows...

Your right, one address, at the end, right as i caught it, the change came back to me, i emptied my entire wallet to protect what was still there, there was about 4 hours from the last transfer and when i saw it.

most of the btc is older, i moved all of them on to the trezor using multi bit, but bagged that a year or so ago but kept the same seed words, again, Im a holder, i buy things, but not with bitcoin. The whole thing is perplexing... Ive looked at the addresses and i can't tell what would be the difference. most of them are change wallets.

Another question, should I transfer them back using the reg wallet or the legacy? I really wonder if my chrome was compromised somehow. still, the private key is on the trezor, so how did they access it?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Missing Bitcoins Advice needed. HELP! on: October 02, 2017, 10:06:48 PM
I have been using trezor for a couple years with no issues. then last night i checked my balance and noticed that a substantial amount in dollar value was gone in about 6 transactions. If they somehow got the seed, why not wipe me out? they only took 15 percent of my bitcoin, which still to me is a crap ton of money.

Im wondering how this could have happened. I have a good pin enabled and the trezor never leaves me. I do have a backup in a safe.

Once I noticed the missing coins, i immediately sent them to a semi safe exchange wallet and i wiped a trezor and redid it with a good passphrase, which i didn't have last time. but the thing is, the trezor never left.

First off, what could have happened? I do know that it had the original seed words of only 12 words, could that be the reason?

Im sure if screwed up somewhere, i need some guidance or help at this point. don't know what to do. Are my coins going to be safe if I move them back to a new wiped 24 seed passphrase trezor?

Ideas? I just can't figure out where I fucked up...

BTW, I use antivirus and run it regularly. still, if they had the seed words, why not wipe me out?

Im kind of stressed right now as it was a huge chunk of my money

Also, they got my 20 dollars or so of ETH but left about 15k dollars worth of ERC-20 coins which i have safely moved. everything was trezor based.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: September 12, 2017, 05:18:16 PM
Ive used SM for a couple months with little to no issues. Now, you can set groups etc. I only have one rig, before I could easily change it to mine Zcash or eth with a click of the mouse. Now, with all the changes, im sure they are great for those that have a lot of rigs, but for the little guy, these changes have caused me a big headache.

I was mining Zcash before they updated, so its now mining that. I want to move back to ETH. but it keeps telling me to "Fill in all required fields" I put in my address and miners name and it still says that. How to i change my rig to another program?

Please help and thanks. im sure its an easy fix, but Ive tried everything but deleting the functioning miner, which ill eventually do if I cant get it to switch like i have done before the big change.

Thanks

I regret that I sold it for $ 400 now it is $ 800

i did the same thing. i was going to wait but it stayed around 400 mark or less for a while. i think its funny how bcc just went up fast. it almost seems like someone is manipulating it so it gains traction. i think once coinbase and others release the bcc it will flood the market and will go down.

the only smart thing is to trade for btc, btc will do much better in the long run...I hope..
14  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 6 1070 11gb gpu miner on: August 15, 2017, 02:11:40 AM
yes, sorry, the 8gb cards, they are the 1070s not the 1080s.. don't know how i missed that, lol.. 1070s are great cards for mining. they use around 150 watts and their hashing/power usage is def. one of the best out there. i don't want to sell, i might not, just trying to make the wife happy. she hates how warm the small room gets..
15  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS 6 1070 11gb gpu miner on: August 14, 2017, 06:24:15 PM
Hello,

Im wanting to sell (my wife really, lol)  my rig that has a nice case with fans from parallel miners in california. It has 1 EVGA 1070 11gb card and 5 gigabyte 11gb 1070 cards. The rig is around 1 month old. It has the mz710 mb that can actually run 7 gpus, 16 gb of RAM a 120 gb SD HD, lots of extra power cables from parallel miners to run even the motherboard if you want. i just never hooked it up, so actually you just need the one 1200 watt psu but ill give you the extra 750 watt psu with break out board too, since i wont be needing it.

I need 3k plus shipping (firm) it actually cost me around (edit, 3800)., i have no issue going thru a trusted escrow if you pay the fees.

I use simple miner booted from the thumb drive. I havent even tried to oc it yet and I'm getting around 29-30 mh/s out of the box per unit so its around 170 to 190 MH/s for the entire rig, again, no over clocking has been done. I have all but two original gpu boxes, but I've registered the 5 gpus with gigabyte but they have almost 3 years left, minus about 2 months from today.

The case alone is worth about 500 bucks, you can get cheaper ones on eBay but the stuff that parallel miners makes cost more, but its worth it.

Feel free to pm me with questions, I'm sure i left out some details.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 07, 2017, 07:56:58 PM
sorry if this has been answered, but i was wondering since the 580s are way expensive or non existent if the 1060's are the way to go and what is the hashing difference between the 2? wondering if its better to get the 1070s, etc, whats the best way to go? cost wise etc?

On my 1060 I can get 23.7 Mhs with 74W from wall. Second one 23 Mhs at 64W. Ratio W/Mhs is better then on any RX.

Thanks for the help.. would it be better to get the 6gb or does the 3gb do it just fine?

first of all, you will only get your bonus on 8 and 9, no bonus on 10 unless we get into the next 10 rounds then you will get 1 peccent of every level that sells out. I think thats right.... so, if you were to buy in level 1 and they sell out all 20 levels, your bonus would be 19 percent. level 9 you get 1 percent and 8 you get 2 percent. they wont give out the bonuses until everything is completed, i believe.

How many confirmations are required when paying with bitcoins ?

Is it the time the transaction was broadcasted that's taken into account ?

you have one hour to get 1 confirmation if you are using btc. if you dont get one confirmation in that time, the tx is cancelled.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [ICO] [WGR] | Wagerr | The Betting Blockchain | Bounties on: June 01, 2017, 09:10:03 AM
There is a maximum allowed or is only 1000 wager?

As far as I know there is no such restriction of buying. It is illogical as well 1000 tokens have $50 value. Why they will want to make for them difficult to reach the target of selling maximum tokens. I also am planning to buy 10k at least in small tranches over the next few days.

there is a maximum of 500k tokens that can be purchased at one time. I know of several people that will be buying the max, plus the sports books that like this idea im sure will be buying millions. I have a feeling that this will go into round 2. opening up 10 more rounds in a couple weeks.
