1  Other / Off-topic / Re: $440 -> $0, Bitcoin ponzi bubble brusted, you lost your money! on: March 30, 2014, 03:42:16 PM
IMHO it's impossible for price to drop below 150$ ever, unless someone dumps 200k coins at once.
But even then, it would be only temporary.
There is already critical mass of people who will never sell at current prices, and are willing to buy and
risk a lot more at something like $150 price. So demand would eat supply really fast, which is very limited anyway.

STOP mining this crap you idiots. It's a 100% complete SCAM for the ONLY purpose of selling out the high block reward coins as fast as humanly possible. DAMN I wish people weren't so god damn stupid. BAN all JR Members, restart the forum.

BITBAR is even bigger scam. It's like ultimate scam and just go visit bter.com. It's ridiculous.

Looks like people just don't care if it's scam or not.

Just wondering, what is definition of big vs small miner these days?
1Mh/s = small?
2Mh/s = mid?
4+Mh/s = big?

I would say :
1-10 - small
10-30 - mid
+30 - big

dammm, Im hoping its not a waste of time on bobs pool, now over 500 shares and climbing fast and ZERO payout and not showing up on static payout

Looks like pool works fine.

Double check if you set your recieving address in cgminer login correctly.

Then browse to http://pool01-royal.coinloot.com:8300/static/  and see if your address is listed in payouts table.
If it is you should get payment

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you do when the difficulty of bitcoin and ltc goes too high? on: April 15, 2013, 02:03:14 PM
Stryder, take a look at this graph for example http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/period-charts.php?period=1-year&resolution=day&pair=ltc-usd&market=btc-e
If you move mouse over graph you can see difficulty in that period.

It seems that difficulty is in direct relationship with value for a long time.

If LTC goes to steady value of +5 USD in next 30-60 days it'll confirm trend.
So we just have to wait and enjoy this exciting future Smiley

So far, raise in difficulty is constantly compensated with it's raise in value.
If this trend continue, there's no need to worry about it.

Try to set in AMD Overdrive "Power control settings" +20%,
or directly in cgminer --gpu-powertune 20

Is your X windows started ?
X must be running, otherwise it wont work. And check xorg.conf.

If you are trying that from xterm, then I have no other clue for you Smiley
