I just went to monerov.online and it says website is for sale for $899 USD ... Guessing the "Second Group" bailed on this project too?
It seems that TradeOgre still has the first MoneroV on its exchange trading at around $ 0.00578 USD, half a cent each - or about 34 Satoshi, the newer fork of it is on the ViteX exchange only at ~ $ 0.15, according to CoinMarketCap.com

Hey there Chrysophalax. Thanks again for taking the time to respond - Have you heard anything yet from Guy? I sent you an email at the one listed at the bottom of your profile ( crysx@gnxs.com) about 3 days ago in regards to reaching a solution. Just wanted to give you a heads up to look out for that. Thanks again for all your help so far. Mr B

Chrysophylax,
Wow! Thank you for all that information - I truly appreciate it... I had read previous posts on this forum about how good of a person Guy is and it gave me hope that all was not lost. You have confirmed what I had been looking to hear, and I thank you for already reaching out to him on my behalf. I'll wait a little while longer to reach out to him directly until I hear if you get a response from him. I am sure he's very busy lately, as are you, and I thank you greatly for taking the time to respond and provide all the information that you have provided. Take care for now!
Mr B

Looks like they are legitimately making progress - just checked the settlement page out. There had at one point about 2.2 million users - don't know how many of them are trying to reclaim what was lost. I'm hoping it goes through soon for anyone who was waiting for their coins back. Also is good that they aren't returning the "cash value" at the time of the hack. I'd much rather get my coins that have appreciated in value since then. Anyone here had an account on Zapple and able to get their coins off in time? I had an account, they notified me of the closing of the exchange to happen on 12/31/2000 and that they would be in withdrawal mode only until 1/31/2021 (today). I went on there the other day (27th) to get my coins and found Zapple was already shutdown the website no longer gets you to their exchange! I combed my email account for any missed correspondence and saw they sent notification on the 15th that they were prematurely cutting the deadline from the 31st to the 17th - - I was pretty upset that I had missed that notification. Wonder if there's any way they can do anything about that? Maybe the new owner can honor these accounts? I know it's wishful thinking but wish there was still a point of contact for them or at least for whomever is taking over the exchange. - sorry about the rant, just had to see if anyone out here has any info that may help. Thanks in advance! Mr B

Chrysophylax,
That is awesome you are trying to work with Zapple... I have been a client of them for years and was sad to hear they were closing. I really had hopes they would grow. I only found out in early December that the exchange was shutting down on the 31st of Dec, and we had until the 31 of Jan to withdraw our funds. I ordered some hard wallets directly from the manufacturers earlier in the month to remove my coins from the Zapple Exchange. The wallets arrived around 2 days ago (shipped from Europe, so they took a few weeks to arrive). I planned to get in there and remove what I could by the end of the day yesterday the 28th. I knew that I had until the 31st, but was still trying to get them off the exchange before then.
Well, lo and behold zapple.com is completely gone from the internet. I was shocked and wondered why they shutdown earlier than they said they would have..... I thought I had until the 31st. Anyhow I combed through my email and found this unseen email from them sent to me on Jan 15th explaining they had to shut down earlier than expected. The letter was stating to remove everything by the 17th:
Hello,
As you are aware Zapple has shutdown normal operations. Due to UK law change on 1st January we were unable to keep operating without licenses which were not financially viable. We were hoping to operate in withdraw-only mode until 31st January but it has come to our attention this is also not possible.
Please request any withdrawals by 12:00 GMT of 17th January. Zapple will be prematurely shutting down at this time. Any withdrawals submitted after this time will not be processed.
Please note that several withdrawals are currently stalled due to our extremely limited support team and technical issues at the moment. If you have requested a withdrawal and not received the confirmation code for it – we will process it. If you have requested a withdrawal and its stuck pending – this will be sorted by our team.
The key message here is ensure any withdrawals are requested by 12:00 GMT on 17th January.
Regards,
Guy Powell
Now- I of course wish I had seen this when it was sent and only had a 2 day window to remove the coins... I'd have tried to figure out something... Unfortunately, I don't know what my options are now. I am wondering who holds my coins now, where they will be going, and how I can get them back. I can prove ownership of my coins, just hoping that whomever takes over will be able to return what is mine... or even if the founder of Zapple would return them to me - I know they're still sitting there in the exchange's wallet. The email address "support@zapple,com" is totally dead, so I have no point of contact for them anymore at all. Do you have any idea of what I should do or how to claim my coins?
Thank you very much in advance for any help - Mr B

I just logged into my "coin" app, and see they've made some updates since the last time I "geomined" with it about 6-8 months ago... I then forgot all about it for a while. I had a lot of hope for the app and the coin technology behind it. It's definitely a great Idea but just don't know what to think about it anymore, it seems there are at least 10 people in my small region still staking a claim this week. I guess I'd say I'm neutral as well. Crypto keeps being accepted by more and more people everyday so it may just take off soon... here's hoping!

Does anyone know what ever happened to this service?? I remember when Poloniex had made it hard to use the bot that was pay-to-use and they announced that they were shutting down ( the actual one in the pictures- it was poloniexlendingbot.com) It initially worked great, then appeared to not work anymore after it was migrated. They still have .5 bitcoin that I "pre-paid" into the thing back when it was legit in 2016/17 (also Btc was only ~$1k back then). I have relatives in other countries that can still access lending on Poloniex and wish I could let them use my bot with its balance on their accounts... Is the btc most likely gone forever??? Hate to think so now that that balance would be worth almost $20k - Ugh!

Hey Domob, Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I was a little lost about the ideas you suggested in the second paragraph about using a bitcoinCore wallet ( I'm not very familiar with stand alone wallets ) , so id say that is too advanced for me to invest a lot of time learning at the moment.... But,what you say in the first paragraph sounds like something I could handle: "Of course, the most straight-forward option is installing the wallet. You don't have to sync the full blockchain to generate an address and withdraw coins to it." - My question is - Which wallet is it that you are mentioning here? I believe you are referring to the Huntercore v0.13 mentioned on the 1st page of this thread. It states: "All in One - Huntercore v0.13 + Unity3d 1.22+ Pruned Chain - 500mb Download For New Users - this should get you up and running with a huntercoin wallet + unity3d client in the time it takes to download + a few minutes of syncing >> Windows > https://mega.nz/#!pdUznRiJ!oEDFIU6ctJWm9zmIcalEXQP8wkmiB9itY2Ipole-0ow You should replace huntercoin-qt.exe (in c:\huntercore\gamedata\ ) with the latest version here > https://github.com/chronokings/huntercore/releases" I had initially thought that was old and outdated info, but now I see that it was updated a few months ago by Snailbrain.... So basically, I should just do what Ders_a had said on the post above from 13th of June? Thanks again for the help!

I'm curious, too... I still have coins on sitting Poloniex (Huntercoins) from a long time ago...I cant seem to figure out if I should go through the headache of trying to download some old wallet that may or may not work.
Polo de listed HUC and I want my coins off the exchange before they permanently disable their wallet...
-We probably only have a few days/week to figure this out before there is no options left - it's urgent!
Can someone pleeeeeease suggest where to move the coins to from Poloniex?
As far as moving the coins to another exchange, I cant find any others at all out there that have HUC listed, so that's not a viable option at this time. Thanks in advance!

Thanks again Tanoury, really helpful and easy to understand guides you shared, it's very much appreciated.
Bitcoinhopper, something is definitely wrong with that link, I am not sure if it is trustworthy, I do hope I'm wrong about that...
The original link posted by Beast is dead, tried it a few times and got a blank white screen and loading icon continuously spinning for a while it looked like it had stopped loading after 2 seconds leaving me looking at a white screen, but something was definitely loading or going on behind the scenes, as it never timed out... next thing I know, my browser was hijacked.
I am not sure if it came through clicking that link, Has anyone else had a similar problem with that link? The only other sites I visited outside of my normal pages that day were the link at the begining of this thread, coinbase.com and poliniex. I know the latter 2 are safe. Can anyone check the link to the btcpool.com for malware, and is it a legit site? I spent 2 days trying to get rid of the trojan on my laptop, even had to get into the registry to get my computer back to normal.
Anyhow, I hope it didnt come from there, I just cant think of any other foreign or new sites I had visited in that week, except the 3 I listed. Thanks

I can't seem to find it, either, tried yesterday, too, link/page seems dead ... nothing at that site,
I'm looking for Ubuntu walkthrough, and also some info about storing the resulting mined ETH in a wallet, or how that works. It appears it is somehow stored online, was looking to see if it can be kept in a wallet like BTC or LTC to keep it securely away from the mining rig, once a good amount is accumulated. Any suggestions?
