3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for local transactions on: November 08, 2015, 10:55:18 PM
As for as local bitcoins go, I want to sell my coins and get cash in hand. I am looking at someones profile and it says the following…
They also have 25 confirmed trades. Do you think this person can be trusted? They have a minimum of $100 cash, so I think I will just sell $100 worth of coins for my first try. The more verifications the better right?

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading Exchange? on: November 08, 2015, 04:34:53 PM
Let say one wants to trade bitcoin by buying low and selling high.  First off, this is good strategy right?

Yes. Since bitcoin prices fluctuate a lot, it can earn you a lot of profit if you buy BTC at $250 and sell it at $350. It earns you $100 profit right away.

To those ppl who trade bitcoin by buying low and selling high... how does one do this?  Do we need an account at an exchange?  Obviously using coinbase and circle wouldn't work right?

You need to have an account on the trading website like ecoin.eu or some other trading website.

What exchange does one need if they want to buy and sell bitcoin instantly?  Most importantly, how much are the fees per each transaction?

Trading website itself sends the profit to your wallet like OKPay/PM/PP. The fee varies from one exchange website to another.
How does one fund that account?  Through a bank wire or bank transfer ACH to the exchange?  So if one buys say 10 BTC at $350 each it cost $3500 plus how much in fees?  Then let say it goes up to $380.  Then you want to sell all 10 btc at $380 so $3800 total.  How much fees does one need to pay for that?  Thus you would profit $300 here but are the fees a lot?  Is the exchange like 1% each way so $35 to buy $3500 worth of btc and $38 to sell $3800 worth of btc so $73 in fees and thus $300-$73 so $223 profit?

Just like you fund your online wallets with bitcoins or any other wallet like PayPal. It also depends on what payment modes are accepted. Most exchange websites like ecoin.eu charge 1%-0.5% depending on your withdrawal option.

I like to know from someone who trades btc by buying low and selling high.  Basically wait for price to go up, then sell.  Then rinse and repeat.

Is there ever a time where its not worth doing it because the transaction fees override the profit?  I have to assume fees in an exchange can't be more than 2-3% per transaction?  But with an exchange, you get btc immediately correct?  And when you sell, you get the funds sent to your bitcoin exchange account immediately?  And is bitcoin exchange acct the right word for this?

Fees is as I mentioned above. It takes time to get the amount in your chosen to get your money in your wallet about 24 hours. It's not immediate. Most trading websites follow this method to avoid any fraudulent withdrawals. The fee is always less than the profit and no trading website charges such a high fee. They take a percent from the profit.

Hope my answers are helpful Smiley
do you think it would be safe to store large amounts of bit coins at ecoin.eu such as over 5 BTC?
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking to start selling BTC on Local Bitcoins on: November 08, 2015, 03:13:24 AM
I am in a similar situation as OP. except i don't want to make a profit i just want to get cash or bank transfer for my coins.
What is the best way to go about doing business on local bit coins? and is this the easiest way or one of the easiest ways to transfer coins into cash? Please share your experiences using the site? Should i just complete a small transaction first?

7  Economy / Gambling / Roulette is it really random? thoughts? on: November 04, 2015, 05:20:48 PM
So after a big sports bet win and when there are no other sports to bet on like right now, I usually try Roulette just for fun. Usually end up losing. I play at cloud bet. They have live tables, but I've gone on other sites where it wasn't live and just a screen with numbers. Anyways what do you guys think about these chance games. I always go for 50/50 odds on Roulette. Do you think it is really fair odds?
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: exchanging bitcoins to paypal.. how to avoid fees? on: November 04, 2015, 04:53:42 PM
So recently I won big on cloud bet. I wanted to exchange .5 BTC ($242) from my account on cloud bet to my paypal so, I withdraw them into my virwox account. Transferred them from BTC to SLL and then to USD and then I only ended up with $177 in my account.
Could someone explain to me maybe a cheaper way to transfer my bit coins to my paypal? Thanks. Sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask this in.

Virwox has been known for having a high fee for a long time, and you should be aware of that before using its service. Apart from using it, you may try to find someone buying bitcoin for PP on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 or on localbitcoins, but please check the person's trade history and avoid suspicious users.
ok i might try that, what do you have to do exactly?
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: exchanging bitcoins to paypal.. how to avoid fees? on: November 04, 2015, 04:32:52 PM
Why would you want to  transfer it to paypal? Paypal is doing bad at the moment, most of the CPA,PPD etc campaigns have cancelled their mode of payment as paypal! You could transfer your bitcoins to your local wallet and then withdraw it directly to your bank wire accounts via some exchange and that service is free of cost.
I don't like to use my bank account cause they charge me so many fees. thats why i use paypal.

12  Economy / Gambling / Re: Getting back into gambling (questions) on: November 04, 2015, 02:56:23 AM
Thanks yall. This stuff seems legit. Im surprised more people dont play. Maybe cause they aren't aware of bitcoins? Who knows, sure beats fanduel though. I think im going to try out direct bet as my second alternative site! Anyone ever bet big on any of these sites and win? I want to thats what i usually do, but im kind of nervous both that i might lose (lol) and that the site will not process my coins for some reason.
Don't be worry about technical aspects of creating deposits or withdrawing. Unless you type wrong address somewhere there is no way that your bitcoins will be lost.
Well established casinos have usually great customer support and in case something will be unclear they will help you for sure.
yea thanks man, i will definitely go with the good sites. What about making sure i get all my coins from my bets? Obviously they won't jip me with that right? its just hard to calculate  all my bets/winnings and to see if they payed me correctly.

Yes, directbet is very popular among the bit-coiners and you can go for it. I have won many bets through this site and I highly recommend this site for you as well. If you are worried about loosing the coins then start with the small bets and also you can place cross bets to recover the losses if any.
ok thank you.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Winning Team Prediction Tips on: November 03, 2015, 01:08:47 AM
Cabaliers vs 76ers I will bet in 76ers. Its just my suggestion but im not sure if they win.. But i have a 60% of wiining chances for 76ers....

If Sixers upsets the Cavs then you will have a really nice amount of winnings if you bet on Moneyline for Philly since the team has a great odds. But that is low chance so much better to bet on another match if you want a good winnings.

In my view, point spread are not really recommended for the game of Cavs and Sixers since Cavs always do a really large margin against the team who is really a underdog
Lets go sixers!!

Why are you obsessed with gambling? Bitcoin has a lot of legit usages.
You have a lot to learn to use bitcoin safely, like choosing wallet, buying and spending btc etc.
Just google it and you will find a lot of infomation.

Why do you think I'm obsessed with it? This is the gambling forum ya know. Like what usages? please explain, Im not sure what I would be looking for on google.

well, he is trying to suggest to you dont keep ur bitcoin on an exchange platform, there has been a case where the exchange lose over 100,000 of bitcoins and those customers till now cant get back their bitcoins. so imagine u have over 10 or even 100 of bitcoins in a bank and this bank closed down due to some fault and u cant get ur $ back. even government also cant do anything.

so suggestion to u is that keep it in an offline wallet in your harddisk and do all the coding and double coding etc so even if ur comp got hack, they still cant access to ur wallets cause there is like 3 to 4 layers of password.
that seems like a lot of work, i think it will be fine if i keep withdrawing the coins into my paypal, like every $500, so im not leaving to much $(bitcoins) in virwox at one time. Also virwox is the only site that accepts paypal, which is my only form of payment right now. Thanks for your help.

If you are interesting to get suggestion about sports betting sites than i will suggest you directbet.eu without any doubt it is legit and trusted sportsbook and you don't need to have any account for place bets on sports event totally anonymous and secure.
ok I might check it out since thats the second suggestion for that site. Also it wouldnt hurt to use 2 sites to bet with just to store my coins in different sites. Feel like that might be the safer option.  thanks.

1. Bitcoin gambling is not more or less 'legal' than any FIAT based service. You can gamble as much as you want. As long as it is in agreement with your local law.
2. If you chose right Bitcoin Casino there is no very little change that they will scam you or run away with your money. You see, it is more profitable to be reputable casino and earn in a long term.
3. I never heard of virvox.com - but if you keep your fund in online storage for long there is always a risk. Avoid doing that with large sum of money.
Ok thanks, I never keep a real lot in there as I always try and transfer it back into my paypal and vice versa.
