2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many dogecoins? on: January 24, 2014, 10:25:42 PM
It's not 5 billion per year when cap is reached, it's 5,256,000,000 after block 600,000. Right now block reward is anywhere from 0 to 1,000,000, when we reach block 100,000 it will halve and rewards for blocks will be 0 to 500,000.

The idea is that there can never be more than 100 billion dogecoin in circulation at any given time, but you want miners to keep on mining to ensure the security of the network. Also, every transaction carries a fee that destroys coins in the process, making them unavailable for circulation allowing miners to continue mining for block rewards.

Nobody knows how it'll all work out in the end, but the idea is to have people make use the coin often enough to have a ton of transactions/fees, enough transactions/fees that destroy coins and allowing the miners to keep receiving block rewards given them enough incentive to continue to ensure the security of the network; but if this is to work the coin has to reach mainstream adoption allowing more and more people to use the coin in order to destroy enough coins through fees to keep the miners mining.

1,000,000,000,000 (Trillion) Doge

The max dogecoin is not a trillion, it's 100 billion (100,000,000,000), or was this an attempt at being witty?

Ok thanks makes kind of sense..But has it always been designed this way?
It cant be changed?

I was reading there was some error in the script that kind of implied there was no limit, or the amount could be changed?

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / how many dogecoins? on: January 24, 2014, 09:55:11 PM
First of i no understand how crypto works very well but long time supporter of bitcoin..

What i am stuggling getting my head round is how can the amount of coins to be mined be changed?
for example I thought there was a cap on the amount of coins written in the script, like 21million for btc and 100 billion for doge, but after some reading up on doge it appears there are going to be 5billion per year once the cap is reached? how can this be changed? does this mean crypto currencies can be mined more than origanly stated? or is it just doge, doesnt it make it kind of dodgy, who gets to say how many more can be mined? i always thought no one can control crypto currencies, or is doge just different or a scam?

7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Exposing the Banksters. on: January 21, 2013, 09:32:00 PM
The initial intent is to expose money for what it is and offer the proven alternative silver and of course as the project develops diverify and promote alternatives like bitcoin.
Of all the conspiracys the one most damaging and destructive that cannot be disputed is what money is and how the monetary system works.
There is a great opportunity once this is realised to empower ourselves and use the energy created by real debt free money to create a greater reality than the one we are experiencing.

We are certain that peoples need for money is the one thing that can unite most people.

Money is our energy, as it is we are being deceived of that energy.
We intend people to look at money and appreciate its beauty and usefullness and embrace the freedom it can bring.
For now.
This is what we are selling to get started.

8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Co-operative Experiment on: January 21, 2013, 09:07:03 PM
Calling all artists, freethinkers, and anyone seeking solutions, freedom and independence.
Help create an alternative system.

I have long believed co-operatives offer a solution and an alternative operating system to the corporate system that is taking over.

I have an idea of starting an arts and crafts co-op using silver and other alternative currencies to spread awareness, create employment, generate wealth, promote alternatives and create the solution to corporate/banker occupation.

And finally in my life contribute something positive to the cause and create a better world for my beautiful children.

I can not do this alone but have an idea ready to be sold.

Membership is voluntary we will pick who we think is most suited and offer a share in the co-op or profits according to input.

The first volunteer needed is a Video producer.
Possibly a script writer and web designer if there is any interest.

Anyone interested?

You should try living in Europe, laws are created out of Brussels by unelected bureaucrats faster than the average peasant can read them, and even if I did read any of them I wouldn't understand them.

When i say law i use the term loosely, laws and statutes are two different things.

If no one is being harmed no law is being broken.

If its the government that are saying i done wrong it means i broke one of their stupid made up rules.

16  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Islamic Bank of Bitcoin{}بنك بتكوين الاسلامي on: August 13, 2012, 12:08:57 PM
If i was meeting some one to buy bitcoins with cash and they were to load the cheque, if so how would i know the coins were succsesfully loaded or would it be purley be down to trust and best not used for this kind of transaction?

Well, you can verify the funds are in the cheque by checking the address. The blockchain is public, and you can look at the address on the cheque at any time.

Thanks for all this i am starting to get my head round the simple things..I did read the manual but it didnt make much sense Embarrassed
You have really helped..thanks again for your time.

If i ever get some bitcoin i would love to support your project, wishing you the best of success.

tip: lock this thread while you still have time. If you really want to sell this stuff repost with a line in the OP that says "LOCAL THREAD RULES: Only posts regarding completing a purchase, or a completed purchase are allowed." I guarantee you are going to have a troll fest on this thread. The rule posting gives you the ability (at least the mods pretend it does) to keep people who break the rules from posting on your thread, or have it removed.
+1
As much as I believe in this stuff, I know that plenty of people do not.
May be interested if you shipped to the US.

I can post to the US no problem.

I still cant decide if i want to put in any thread rules as not sure if i beleive in it my self 100% so dont mind any debate on the subject, as long as its respectfull. And i dont like rules as long as no one is being harmed.
besides it might help bump the thread Smiley

Thanks for the advice, but why would this thread have a troll fest? Would it be the nature of orgonite will attract trolls due to its unprovable qualities?
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Resident of no nation and tax on: August 11, 2012, 05:35:07 PM
I travelled round Europe for 15 odd years.

Only paid income tax a few times doing seasonal work for a boss.

I lived in the UK for some years from 2006 and ran a bussiness for a couple of years..Before i registered i asked at the CAB where i stood thinking the tax man might claim i owed a fortune in tax. They couldnt give me a straight answer..It seemed you have to be living in a country for more than six months and keep returning there to qualify.
It a grey area, I never did find out for sure.

I know as soon as you register as self employed or resident they will start wanting some thing.

20  Economy / Goods / Re: Orgonite for bitcoin. on: August 11, 2012, 04:37:24 PM
What is orgonite? Just curious

Its crystals (normally quartz) and metal shavings encased in resin.

Supposedly it generates orgone energy as discovered by Wilhelm Reich http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_Reich

Its one of those things that hasnt been measured though Reich claimed he did prior to his arrest and alleged assasination so its impossible to say for certain if it does any thing at all.

Reich used layers of organic and non organic matter in his orgone accumulators but there is nothing organic about orgonite.Though there now is organic resin available.

I have been making the stuff and experimenting with it for several years and to be honest cant say either way if it does anything.
I continue to experiment.

It certainly seems to work as a placebo if nothing else and makes great gifts.

A google of the word "Orgonite" will give loads more info.
