1  Economy / Exchanges / Mtgox freeze money, Absurd answers of support, student desperate and out option on: March 31, 2013, 09:10:54 AM
I'm a verified 1 year old Mtgox account holder investing spare money in btc when I can affort it, making small deposit from time to time (few hundreds at most)

My last deposit was not showing up for no reason and I contacted support

Quote
On checking our AML team has flagged the deposit [..] Kindly upload any one of both Photo ID and Residence proof to https://mtgox.com/forms/verification [..You can] contact thenm at aml@tibanne.com

  • The link provided states I'm a verified member (I know that..) and there is no upload button anymore.
  • I contacted the AML team by mail and recieved 0 answers.
  • The support desk team keeps saying the same thing over and over without even reading messages.

I'm at loss of words

2  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN Mt.Gox] Urgent announcement on all SEPA and POLISH Deposits on: March 14, 2013, 01:31:03 AM
I'm mostly angry about myself not checking the website again before making the wire, but this is really the last time I'm using Gox, I'm fed up.

There is ALWAYS something going wrong. And if not, it just takes half a month to do a deposit or withdrawal.

Now I suppose it's going to be weeks before I see the funds again, so I can I make a new deposit. As always.. Flying ducks would be faster.

And sh*t.. did not see this before sending funds.

What now ? Is it possible to contact my bank to add info ? Or should I wait for a formal rejection ? How much time should it take ?

Thanks..

Undecided

5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: August 24, 2012, 08:25:56 PM
I'm starting to wonder if some are not into btc just for the thrill of gambling
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: the long hard stairway to heaven? on: August 24, 2012, 11:58:57 AM
Can this stairway be fake ? Does it represent actual btc ? If I had 10.000 and placed multiple ask, which one would be shown on the wall ?

If this wall/stairway is real, then a rally seems difficult.
I suspect lots of USD sits on mtgox, waiting for an hypothetical sizeable drop in price secondary to a panic sell. What could cause this panic sell ? A large dump. If this dump is a speculation move (trying to bring the price down to buy low), it could be  risky for the one doing it, because lots of people are waiting for an opportunity to buy low too.
It could be a dump from people wanting out of the bitcoin wold for various reason. I doubt it, but feel free to correct me.

It really should be called the bullshit forum..
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is the end on: August 20, 2012, 02:32:23 PM
"SR is not needed for over 99% bitcoin users"

SR is a large part of btc economy. A part that is actually not about speculation. I don't like junkies, but at least they are using btc the way it should be.
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: centralized post of pirate payouts or other related news to the closing. on: August 20, 2012, 01:35:05 PM
"I think this Post is very Important and give everyone hope. Pirate has got also a Good Side...
The men who wants some time with his family.."

Talking about family, how he made close (greedy) friends..  great.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: August 20, 2012, 05:37:12 AM
I regret the 5$/btc stability. Mtgox looked like a money exchange. Now it's just a casino..
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could the sell-off have been caused by pirate cashing out? on: August 18, 2012, 03:17:49 PM
Pirate IS the market. Cool

So the market just closed ?

As stated above, ongoing process.
