2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 30, 2013, 08:24:22 AM
  • So I replied okay, FINE, I really wanted USD not NZD but whatever, money is better than no money, right? So I replied and state that the bank account I specified was a USD currency account and i'd have to give them my NZD currency account number instead. This is when they replied with clarification. They can cancel my USD withdrawal and I have to buy bitcoins in USD and sell them in NZD and then do a withdrawal to the correct NZD account.

I had exactly the same response but with AUD rather than NZD. I also wanted USD so I cancelled, bought BTC and transferred to BTC-E, sold for USD and transferred to OK Pay. Lost out on the rates but at least I got the USD out of Gox.
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 30, 2013, 08:15:42 AM
Nevermind I can't do that even if I WANTED to because NO BODY trades bitcoin in NZD on MtGox.
Don't worry about trading BTC for NZD on MtGox.  The order books are connected at +/- 2.5%.  When you sell to a bid, the bid can be in any currency.
You can even sell BTC for NZD to yourself and buy the same BTC in USD. It is a form of converting currencies and taking the hit of the spread. I did this converting some JPY to USD some time ago; it was a mistake by me but it worked.

Is there currently any problem with Slush? Front page is slugish and payout's not working (payout limit passed but still no payout).

Edit: site start to work normally. Still - payouts are not processed. Whats Your status?

No payout. This is happening a lot recently, especially overnight in Europe.

Edit: OK now.

I received a 5% withdrawal today, and have another pending. Everything is operating smoothly for me.

What currency?

Is there any indication that USD international wires (without the 5% fee) are being processed at all?  If so, what request date is the queue up to?

I couldn't get a USD withdrawal even with the 5% fee. It doesn't look like any USD wires are happening (with or without the 5%). Other currencies like JPY, CAD, EUR, AUD are reported to get processed at various delays.
9  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 08, 2013, 05:04:39 AM
I Just got a >90000 CAD swift withdrawl fram Sept. 9 although it was less
that 90000 because i paid the 5% emergency fee.
Everything seems good with Gox.

So currencies other than USD seem OK if you pay 5%, which is not that unreasonable if there is a conversion with JPY involved, since currency conversion spreads can be around 3 or 4%. Shame I wanted USD and that still seems to still be a problem. I will return to Gox only when they resolve the USD withdrawal issue.

My wire withdrawal in USD to a European bank from 2 Sep hadn't processed after over a month. I elected to use a manual transfer for a 5% fee. Eventually I was told they couldn't manually transfer USD. They said they could instead transfer AUD to an Australian bank. I cancelled, bought BTC and transferred those to another exchange and withdrew the USD from there. Doesn't look like USD wires work to any country atm.

Bill, coordinate with dadj, he's Australian and taken the most steps from what I've seen until now.

Yes, I will try the Police at some stage like dadj suggests. I am in NSW Australia.

I just got the latest ASIC Company Extract for Kenseycol Pty Ltd ACN 140 244 828.  The registered office from 28/12/2012 is 27 Kamdell Place, Orange NSW 2800.  Director is Colin Robert Armitt of 25 Olympic Drive, Orange NSW 2800.

An ASIC search also shows CRYPTO X CHANGE as a registered business name number BN98597140 with the Office of Fair Trading, New South Wales, from 29/09/2011.

I complained to NSW Fair Trading but they were unable to make contact with Kenseycol. They said the next step would be to take it to the Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal (www.cttt.nsw.gov.au). I have had no replies to any of my letters or emails.  I am trying to work out if it is worth taking the next step and getting a court order.

CryptoXChange have posted on their website:

Quote
As of 19 November 2012, Crypto x Change stopped allowing trades. There have been a couple of incidents in which we are not allowed to make public which have forced us to close the exchange. We are sorry for any inconvenience, there are delays in support and processing withdrawals. It could take up to another 6 weeks before all withdrawl requests are finished. For all paper correspondence please post to pobox

Kensycol Pty Ltd
PO Box 8370
Orange NSW 2800
Australia,
Or email support@cryptoxhange.com

I will delay my recovery action since I can understand what issues they may have. I also received an email from support. So they are no longer totally quiet.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CryptoXChange wait time on: November 26, 2012, 03:55:14 AM
I am owed well over $2000 and one withdrawal request has now been 15 working days and still just showing as booked. I am not getting any replies on the help desk ticket. I will be starting some formal recovery actions in about a week.  Has anyone heard anything from them recently?

Hi

im unable to login to my account and i can not reset my password ..... Typed in my mail address three times now but i dont receive a mail?

Could someone look into that?

My email has stopped working as well (some time ago I think). I use a .info email address (not .com) and I suspect that may be the problem.

Try removing any references to GPU 0 from your xorg.conf

You can do this by reinitializingn (assuming adapter 1 is GPU 1):
aticonfig -f --initial --adapter=1

I tried this but when booting Linux it didn't give a login screen.  Connecting remotely, X Server was not active so couldn't use the GPU.  I usually have to login on the console for X Server to start.  I had to revert the settings to --adapter=all.  I only have the one video card in this PC but maybe I can try this again when I can make this a secondary card.  I am expecting a new power supply in a few days and should be able to try this after that is installed.
