The halving in the middle of next year might push the price up to $1000. But there are plenty of surprises in bitcoin price.

If you have free electricity and can withstand the noise, then buy a cheap miner to do some tests. If you know how to operate that one, then expand slowly.

Today's is November 7th, the price is around $380. $1000 is a good target in the middle of next year.
