pit.deepbit.net seems unreachable via IPv6. any IPv6 plans?
I had some ideas to use IPv6 as anti-ddos measure, but not tried it yet.
Do you think that there are any IPv6 miners/users ?
i am. i've just setup tinyproxy as a workaround:
cgminer can connect over tcp/ipv6 to a ipv6 http proxy (http_proxy env var).
if the proxy can connect to the ipv4 world, things work.
alternatively a socks proxy could be used as well, but i've not tested that yet (tor is also not ipv6 ready, afaik).

if pit.deepbit.net would get an ipv6 address and an AAAA dns entry, then the ipv6 world (china, india, ... growing ;-) ...) could connect directly.

if the provider does not offer ipv6, then sixxs.net can be used to create a tunnel to the ipv6 world easily ('yum install aiccu' on fedora linux). sixxs.net will give you two /64 (one 2-node tunnel, one 2^64-node-net) and, if required, /48 (64k 2^64-node-networks) for free!

i am sure deepbit.net would be listed under http://www.sixxs.net/misc/coolstuff/ Cool

The year is 2139.

The world currency has been successfully been converted to BitCoin. People have BitCoin ID implants, in the web between their thumb and index figure. KnightMB has kept all his BitCoins and passed them on to KnightJR, a trillionaire playboy. KnightJR is the richest man in the world. The age of BitCoin mining is almost over. "Leonardo da Vinci" has awakened in the bitcoin system. Satoshi was an anarchist all along. He planned the deletion of the entire system and block chain for the year 2140. His dark sense of humor will be reawakened January 1st, 2140. KnightJR and his team of elite are the only ones who know of this scheme. They must prevent the fall of the world order. Anarchy is fast approaching, and KnightJR faces financial death and end of the Knight family. Only one man can save them. Zero Cool's DNA lies in his grave, an elaborate tomb and idol for all hackers. FLASHBACK: In his twenties "Zero Cool" emerged as the worlds foremost hacker, his potential and brilliance exponentially increased. The hacking world deemed him too dangerous. He was assassinated before he himself could bring anarchy to the world. Satoshi idolized "Zero Cool" and tried to continue his legacy. END FLASHBACK. KnightJR must resurrect "Zero Cool" with the latest DNA and cloning technology. Illumina, Bionexus and KnightJR have one year to save the world.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted.
i don't like this, but i understand and accept.
