1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would you buy milkshakes or smoothies with bitcoins? on: March 02, 2013, 04:42:41 PM
I'm going to ask a smoothie delivery service if they would consider taking bitcoin for regular deliveries. I think I'm going to have to explain a bit, and link they to a payment processor.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin website operators: please consider using Google sign-in on: February 28, 2013, 03:12:41 PM
I don't think the requirements were that bad to get back the account. In my case, it took just a minute and it was entirely automated.
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon will ship 290 units by tomorrow, correct? on: February 28, 2013, 03:10:43 PM
While Bitsyncom is holding up a ton better than the other attempts at entering into the market, I am still skeptical about it.
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Discount Voucher Policy - Updates on: February 28, 2013, 03:09:23 PM
Appeasing customers to ensure revenue ... I thought this was standard practice by government legislature.  Roll Eyes
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New BFL update. 25 February 2013. on: February 28, 2013, 03:07:51 PM
I think the real question we aren't asking is whether or not BFL actually has any of the money still, not when and how they will deliver on their promise.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RSA Conference 2013: Experts Say It's Time to Prepare for a 'Post-Crypto' World on: February 27, 2013, 11:25:34 PM
People like feeling they are protected, people feel they are safe, people trust other people far too much, and cryptography is 100% necessary for the world to advance.
7  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: bitcoin via paypal - an idea. on: February 27, 2013, 11:23:19 PM
paypal is always a bad choice. They act as a banking entity without adhering to the regulations of banks.  Fraud, and crime run high with paypal.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Is This Where The Secret JP Morgan London Gold Vault Is Located? on: February 27, 2013, 11:21:46 PM
Perhaps he wanted the radiation to turn the gold into lead? I'm going to go strip some lead just in case.

Doesn't irradiated gold turn into bitcoin Huh

Wouldn't that be cool?

I mean, extremely hot!
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Currency circulation. Can someone help me? on: February 27, 2013, 11:20:31 PM
The ability of a government to derive value from their fiat is essential for their continued existence, take that away and what do they have? What do they become?  Grin
10  Economy / Economics / Re: How to buy apples with bitcoin on: February 27, 2013, 11:15:50 PM

I once had a Cloak of Flames in Everquest.

I exchanged it for $1075.

That's a lot of apples!

I bet they were really good apples too!
Seriously though, money is a medium of exchange as much as anything else, all you need are willing participants.

In example, I'm trying to get a second job in a head shop as manager there, so I can introduce that community to bitcoins and provide a way for the customers to pay with bitcoins.  Smiley
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC / USD exchange rate $30-$40 significance? on: February 27, 2013, 11:12:57 PM
There isn't any significance to it, no really  Roll Eyes

14  Economy / Economics / Re: You think bitcoin is volatile? Look at a price of a Big Mac. on: February 27, 2013, 11:01:00 PM

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unclaimed bitcoins......... on: February 27, 2013, 10:49:18 PM
You already pay a small fee to use 'free' services like instawallet, but the real breaker is that their service is reliable and they claim they are not liable for any error that isn't directly and expressly their error.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unclaimed bitcoins......... on: February 27, 2013, 05:02:13 PM
instawallet, i believe, has total control of all coins, it is just the end user who has lost access after a predefined date.
18  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 85 GBP iTunes voucher. BTC Wanted. on: February 20, 2013, 03:38:18 AM
No, itunes cards are fine, just that buyers in the US or other locations need to know that information to not be frustrated.
19  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 85 GBP iTunes voucher. BTC Wanted. on: February 20, 2013, 01:15:28 AM
To spend GBP iTunes vouchers, you typically must have itunes account in that country, which is easily done with a throwaway email address if you plan to download quickly.
