1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoin classifieds forum on: May 21, 2013, 08:39:38 PM
Sorry if this is spam or I'm not allowed to advertise like this. I have cheap web hosting, and SMF is like 3 clicks to install, so I threw together a forum for simple altcoin classifieds and trading. If there is interest, just let me know what you'd like to see or how I could expand the forums/subforums, and if it's a terrible idea and you'd like to see everything stay here on bitcointalk, just tell me I'm ugly and I should delete it.

I know several other users were discussing offering the same thing, but I didn't notice anyone else actually do it yet. If they did, again, just tell me so I can delete mine and not waste any time.

Fair warning: if it eats up my bandwidth limit, I'll ask for donations or add a google text ad.

Still going. This is fairly amazing. I kind of want to track him down, find out where he supposedly has a job in the engineering field, and alert his superiors that he's vastly unqualified for his job.

As a computer engineer (the kind of engineer that actually knows about the topic at hand), I call bullshit on pcm81 having any idea what he's talking about.

+1 post of ninja avoidance. You promised to show a working prototype by now. Show a working prototype or get back to work.

This thread is missing chromosomes.
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Development Status [Batch #1] on: January 17, 2013, 07:33:08 PM
Time will tell. They certainly have a very long way to go to match bASIC's incredible level of FAIL.

FTFY.

Also, holy unbelievable shit. You're still talking shit on BFL despite having violently defended a company that ACTUALLY went under?
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bad news for bASIC - not shipping til mid Jan at best on: January 06, 2013, 06:21:18 PM
Oh, nothing, just exploding in defense of bASIC as they employ every tactic that you're upset about BFL using. Apparently, I'm also Inaba.

This is fucking stupid. I quit. This is by far the dirtiest pit of trolls and idiots that I've ever seen, and I wash my hands of it.

lol @ carlton

This guy is redefining "double standard"

So, with the latest news from bASIC, why aren't there 2,000 threads calling them all liars and scammers? They've now pushed the date back again, lied about when Chinese New Year is, posted 6 consecutive news updates that simply say "the next update will have real news!", and most of all, they clearly lied about their chips being ready.

What? Only BFL takes shit for mistakes? Got it.

Upper right corner, box with a search button on the right and a magnifying glass on the left.

I don't think he's trolling, he just missed the sticky and the 10,000 past threads that say exactly the same thing.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: My fears about ASICs... on: December 22, 2012, 03:43:03 PM
There's a sticky DIRECTLY above this post about not starting a new goddamn BFL thread about the same garbage AGAIN.

Ermahgerd. Warehouses are so interesting.

But their wind turbine killed a bird! They're morally bankrupt and destroying mother nature!

Remember, it was a couple months ago we were shown the eBay oven being unloaded at their new warehouse, a different facility than this one which, according to Jody, they started moving into yesterday.

I'm not sure why you keep bringing this up. What are you implying? They took delivery at their old building, then had to move it to the new one. Is there some sinister undertone to that that I'm missing?

EDIT 1: Oh, I get it now. Nevermind. Although your assumption that real estate listings are updated in a timely manner is shaky at best.

EDIT 2: "As of Nov. 14th, space was still available" - is that because of this from the third link: "Last Verified 11/14/2012"? Because you skimmed over the part in that flyer where it says "Industrial Property - Off-Market"

EDIT 3: There's also a link to click for some kind of history on the property, which without paying to see the full details, shows several activities for the property in October, coinciding with the dates BFL said. So I don't see the problem, they had the big stuff delivered to the new place before they moved their office stuff over there.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

The wording in all of that smells of a misunderstanding, or some kind of required field on a form that was filled out wrong by the listing agent.

"Will build to suit, but only if you want one specific layout"

BFL built their new facility on Indian burial grounds without performing the ancient Rite of Eternal Rest. All BFL devices produced in the new facility will be haunted.

Good god, this is getting off the fucking leash. We're just going to start pointing out random laws that we ASSUME BFL is breaking?

Despite my complete lack of proof, I hereby formally make the assumption that BFL hosts dogfights in their office lounge. I'm calling the fucking cops and I can't believe you people support this company.

Yep, I think he outsourced to too many different places all at once and can't coordinate it all. Every team is probably just doing their own thing with complete disregard to the rest of the project. I'm betting the next update from them will be pretty easy to decipher in terms of sink or swim, so I'm pretty anxious to see what they have to say.

Any news?
