1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: March 19, 2021, 12:53:18 PM
I had similar problems periodically and they're gone since i disabled sms and switched to google auth

When I do get the screen to switch to google auth... the submit button is grey and unable to select it

This is ridiculous

2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: March 15, 2021, 05:32:57 PM

I'm having a horrendous time trying to re-add google auth to my account.

I'm NOT reliably receiving SMS verification.

So I decided to make a withdrawal and I am finding it impossible to do so.

Again, the SMS is not reliably being sent and if it does, I get a server response error.

Is anyone allowed to withdrawl?

3  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Save 50% on PSU Costs w/ Gigampz: Breakout Board for DPS-800GBA Server PSU on: May 25, 2014, 01:39:04 AM

I'm using a couple of the first prototypes and they work awesome.

This ended up being the most economical route for me.

Plan on getting more in the future.

Tried that, still nothing.

Can you ping it?

Does your router have the ability to show you attached devices?
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: May 17, 2014, 02:37:25 AM
Hi there,

Recently got my antminer s1 but cannot seem to set it up correctly.

I plugged an Ethernet cord into the port on the antminer and then plugged the other end of the cord int the router. I then connected my main pc to the router via a really long Ethernet cord. I then typed in the ip address on the antminer (192.168.1.99) but it just keeps connecting and eventually chrome says "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 192.168.1.99"

If anyone could give me a hand it would be great, you can teamview if you need.

Thanks,
-MP5KU.

My guess is it's trying to search for "192.168.1.99"

type in the full address,

http://192.168.1.99/

6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: May 12, 2014, 03:43:29 AM

I got to wget part after entering still says wget: can't open 'cgminer-ants1-4.3.2a-85fcf0c': file exits

Then you already have the file on your local machine.

Follow the remainder of the commands as posted.

hello all

Just bought antminer s1 and I am struggling every time I mess with PC ip address I lose internet connection my miner has ip of 192.168.1.99 and all my other ethernet connections are the same 192.168.1.xxx but can not get this connected I have looked on internet and followed many steps but main problem is losing connection cant google ant address.

Many Thanks for any advice
Steve

oh and remember I am PC noob so could you please explain clearly for me. THX

Confused as to why you would google the address.

are you changing your PC address to .99?

If it happens when you mess with your PC address, stop messing with your PC address.
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: May 05, 2014, 12:51:54 AM
From the error message, it looks more like wrong pool settings (URL errors). Did you re-enter your pool info? Or maybe inadvertently add an extra character in one of the pool fields when you used the mining configuration page to restart the miner?

Using a common remote file but all S1's are affected:

Code:
{
 "pools" :
  [
   {
        "url" : "stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333",
        "user" : "x",
        "pass" : "x"
   }
 ],
 "lowmem" : true,
 "bitmain-options" : "115200:32:8:38:393.75:5F05",
 "api-listen" : true,
 "api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1,W:192.168.0/24",
 "quiet" : true
}

Trying some different things now

Upgraded all my S1's this morning to 4.3.2a and now getting:

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

I don't understand the question.  When I typed cgminer -V like you asked, it returns cgminer version 3.12.0

Type in "which cgminer" without the quotes it should return  /usr/bin/cgminer

It does.

No idea, I'd repeat the process.

No errors (except for the rm command, which isn't needed for first-time-use).
rm not needed for anytime use since you are doing a move command and not copy.
I'm aware of that.  It's just a catch-all script.

Have you rebooted?
Yes, I mentioned this in my OP.

What does cgminer -V show?
3.12.0

You said you restarted the miner which I assumed it would be restarting cgminer.

what does
which cgminer
show?

Should obv be the one in /usr/bin

Would be weird to have multiples.

I wish Wiz and everyone that takes the time to explain how the pool works received .01BTC for every-time someone has to explain it.

Hell, I wish I got paid for every other post were someone comes in saying it doesn't work only to have someone take the time to explain it AGAIN.

You all have WAY more patience than I do.

Stay Gold, Ponyboy.

if I was to go to best buy what psu is sufficient power for 1 s1 im staring to think maybe the power supply is faulty, enough to turn it on but not enough to get a hashrate?

I'd turn it off and remove power from the dependent side of the machine and see if the other side hashes.
would I have to disconnect the 8 pin cable also connecting the two boards

Sure
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 31, 2014, 07:48:04 PM
One of my ants shows a significant difference in hashing between what miner software is showing (191) and what eligius pool is showing (187) over the same timeframe (12hr). Is this a fee or something wackier?

Not sure how a fee lessens your hashrate and eligius has no fee anyway.

You are comparing a true running 12hr avg to a "lifetime" avg (i.e. since the antminer was started).

you are so close I'm pretty sure you are ok.
