hold 60% of it as ethereum, you can split the rest for like 4 more alts. or go investing to an ICO as long you make an early research about it
Agree! That's a very wise strategy will help to save and multiply your investments.

if someone would write a quick tutorial of how to mine digibyte (skein) with 1070/1080/1060 etc would be appreciated....

Periodically, the application hangs and does nothing, after pressing Enter in the window the application displays the message "Temp: ERROR: Lost connection with the server." Next, the connection is reconnected and the execution continues. The parameter --eexit 3 is enabled, the temperature of the GPU is normally not more than 70 degrees Celsius. Someone faced a similar problem?
I've been having a similar problem. Only in my case the GPU stop mining and I have close the program and open it again. The worst is that this is happening more during the night, just when I'm sleeping. This did not happen in version 0.3.3b. Exactly same here,no overclock on a 1080Ti and 1070, good temps. 0.3.4 after 1-2 hours will simply stop mining and do nothing. 0.3.3B works perfectly after 24 hours. Little bit lower hashrate but at least is problem-free.

Yes,this is your system memory DRAM , try and run a quick memtest and see what happens

9.0 is junk compared to old ones, huge instability using asm or without

any new update for ethereum miner @Claymore?

Of course it's over, every idiot in the world can buy some cards, read forums and make some money from fools. After all we are greedy fuckers searching for easiest way to make money.

Now yes,all 4 do now 30 MH at nicely 77W in GPU-Z.
GPU-Z 77W is bs if you ask me, check a real power consumption. Agree, real it is probably a lot higher but at least i can see improvement ,i mean i can count the improvement with lowering the volts.

have you disable the crossfire? Weird,i flashed 4 cards independtly with modded bios, got 30 mh on everyone, then put all 4 working together, got one 30 and rest 27.5-28 max, same values on freq/voltages/power limit.
Now yes,all 4 do now 30 MH at nicely 77W in GPU-Z. I suppose i can gain 2 Mh from super tuning ram latency but i lack the time to debug hex code and Heliox is rather on bragging but sharing so i kindly ask The Stilt to make light on this matter and help us all with his great knowledge.

So if using windows 7 what are the steps in using a custom rom correctly?
|
|
|
Thanks, will try your rom when have little time available. Problem is: 1.To reduce power-draw need to lower VDDC. 2.To reduce VDDC need to reduce VCCIO(the memory voltage in Wattman, but that is not the memory voltage, that is the memory controller voltage) 3.To reduce VCCIO the memory frequency will drop ,for 2170-2200 i found 5 cards need 0.92 . 4.0.92 VCCIO will limit the VDDC shown in Gpu-z to 0.9187-0.9250 resulting in 75-80 power draw reported in Gpu-z. ( at 1020 core ) This is all on stock rom which i run 1020 core / 2200 memory and resulting in 27 mh/s on all of my 5 cards . Would be curious the gains tighter timings make, can you test in this conditions too ? Very happy with my results for RX480 however if additional 2-3 Mh/s can be gained in similar power consumption that would be absolutely awesome 1. True 2. First time i hear that :p and it's VDDCI You're right about the memory controller though. 3. Depends.. not every card is the same 4. Interesting, going to test that out.. At this moment, over 1hr rock solid at 31Mh+ Stats on pool can be seen here: LinkSurely, try to lower VDDC to 0.90 with memory controller voltage stuck at 1 V ,you will see that the vddc reported in gpu-z is 1 V and not 0.90 that you set 4 of my cards will do 1020 core at 0.90 VDDC,one needs 0.925 Please test 1020 / 2200 with better memory timings , as i said on stock rom this is 27 mh/s

Quick question, once custom rom flashed will the wattman app still work?

So today i received a payout of 1 ether from pool to my wallet, however i did not receive it in my wallet rather than straight to my exchange account? This is the weird part, you can see on wallet last transaction was yesterday when i sent a coin to the exchange, but today nothing was send to exchange and 1 ether appeared from my wallet but i did not do anything? Attached screenshots, maybe someone can explain...?

I see,if at stock then it can be explaing but stock voltage is 1.13+ vddc, undervolting to 0.9 will decrease power consumption dramatically so u should not have more problems when undervolted...

seems like Dual Mining doesn't work with 5 or more 480 cards as the system will reboot itself after a minute. It's draining power more than mobo can supply even with powered USB riser. I have a 1200w psu & after a few minutes, it's still crash with just 5 cards slotted in.
hmm this is a huge post, I seem to have killed two MSI gaming 5 motherboards trying to fit six cards dual mining on them. ALL cards were hooked up USB powered risers, both boards worked fine with 5 cards and then i dicided to consolidate a few other new cards on these boards and poof dead Motherboard after a few reboots like you expereinced, Stupid me I should have realized something was off when the same rig that had worked fine since the 1st of July suddenly started having issues. I've been dual mining DCR from the start so I dont think its an issue with SIA. Word to the wise only use 5 cards max if with these new cards. I have another six card rig i set up this morning dual mining i hope i dont come home to another dead board I only have one more spare. Did u undervolt the RX480 or not? With core and mem @900 mv there is no way you killed motherboard because of RX480 ,i mean at 0.900 VDDC the card will take 70-80W total power, means 35-40-45 max from pci-e slot...
