1  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My small (but growing) mining farm on: February 04, 2019, 02:19:59 AM
I did not realize I had any sort of tone in my previous post. I’m sorry if that upset you. You are making a lot of assumptions with your calculations. I’ve learned a lot of lessons mining from 2015. One of them for me is, not to sell just because everyone else is. Again I will reiterate, Until I see a unit  that makes a huge enough change to make me switch I will do it.

Everyone is quick to give others advice as if you hadn't done the due diligence before jumping in. I think this bear market has brought out the doom and gloom in a lot of people.

That being said, things are looking good. Keep it up. If you can build a profitable venture in these conditions you'll be set up for success when things turn around.

4- in the summer it gets extremely hot here, up to 45 degrees c  is normal  >: , oh that is (113F for fellow Americans  Grin ) ,,so no matter how much airflow is put, they will still get hot, so i have to use an AC to let the miners inhale  Roll Eyes some cold air or they would melt. .

Jeeze whereabouts are you that 45C is normal?

We get hot and humid summers in southern Ontario and as long as their was managed airflow there was no need for AC. But agree that introducing some cold air will maintain the health of the miners long term. Easy to calculate your overhead and stay profitable.

6  Economy / Service Announcements / Miner Hosting Canada - Colocation Center - No Minimum Order Quantity on: December 28, 2018, 08:01:59 PM
We are a new mining facility with multiple locations in Manitoba, Canada.

We've spent the last year working with consultants to source the most affordable power rates we could find. While some area's offer low rates, larger amounts are difficult to come by. Each property we visited came with its own set of variables and we're happy to say we've found two locations that were able to meet all the criteria required. While it has been quite a task to build a new business in a bear market, the fact that we are still able to proceed is thanks to the resolve and planning from our partners.

We are firm believers that Small and Medium sized Mining Operations are important to keep decentralized networks secure and truly decentralized. As part of that initiative we offer our best rates with No Minimum Order Quantity.

We are launching January 14th, 2019

Check out https://minerhostingcanada.com for information in regards to our Pricing, Location, and Frequently Asked Questsions. For additional pricing on ASIC's not shown or to receive a full quote for your hardware contact us directly at Support@minerhostingcanada.com

We offer Debit Card, Credit Card, Wire Transfer & e-Transfer options. We believe this offers safety and security to the customer as we build our relationships. All prices displayed in CAD.

On top of that we know this market has not been kind lately (We’re miners too). In addition to our prelaunch rate, we will be further discounting the hosting cost for the Bitmain Antminer S9. We know this is by far the most popular model and we aim to keep it profitable.

Pay only $78 CAD ($57 USD) Total for each Antminer S9.

Please reach out to us at Support@minerhostingcanada.com, or fill out our contact form and confirm the hardware you desire to host. As well, let us know any questions you may have.

So 1.5 btc all 5, correct? I may be interested. You think you'd be able to drop them off in Toronto or maybe we can come pick them up too but you'd have to be willing to wait a week or more.  If I grab all of them you think you'd sell them for $70 each?
Only have 3 left. PM'd

Thanks for the information. Would that be 50-60 plus shipping? Since the shipping from here to the US is on average ~$25 .

I am in Canada, so no. Wink

I am not sure what people in US would be ready to pay for shipping, i'm guessing they would rather buy from people in the US for a single unit. For a batch, it could be doable if the price is right.

Thanks for the info.

Well you heard it guys. Open to offers

Make an offer. Price negotiable.

Just to be clear, here. You're asking 150USD per PSU and not for the lot?

The PSU has a Poor OEM so 150$ sound only a little low for all of them, while 150$ per is way too high (can get EVGA for 100$ which are superb).

Yes per unit but that includes shipping from Canada. I felt that was a fair price to start, sorry if I'm way off base here. Not sure of its resale value and PSU's seem to be more expensive in Canada.
