1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Prosper with bitcoins? (P2P lending money system) on: September 11, 2012, 12:48:25 AM
Hi,
Is there any website like prosper that makes it possible for users to lend and borrow bitcoins?  If not, I would like to create one.

I am new to bitcoin... I have been reading on it for around a year now and made my first transaction on this forum today.  However, I have been a web developer for 11 years and I am willing to work on such a system.

The system would verify the identity and credit of people, just like on prosper.  Then, lenders would be able to lend small amount of BTC to diversify their portfolio.

If this interests anyone, let me know...willing to start this project this week if it currently does not exists and if it interests people here.

Thanks,
Steve

would like to buy some bitcoins
Maybe i'm wrong but from what i read you want to buy bitcoins. Not sell them. So... how exactly do you ship them if you are buying them?

I fucked up my original post for real.  I want to be able to buy & sell my bitcoins.  adamstgBit gave me a really good site to do it tought... I may stick to it.

Basically, I want to buy bit coins and sell them when the market increase.  Ill probably use the brokering site adamstgBit gave me after all.  Looks way easier to deal.

or pay by paypal (will mail the bitcoins on paper to the verified paypal address - to make sure I don't get frauded)
Scam detected

If you are reputable on this forum, I'll ship the BTC first.  How does that sounds?

I'm not a scammer, just new.

since you live in Canada buying bitcoins could not be easier

go to https://www.cavirtex.com/

Make an account, and get the account verified

And read up on how to send them money with "Pay Bill"

Its quite easy, just log into your bank account and add them to your "online bill payments"

Read about how to do this here https://www.cavirtex.com/methods

Once your set up, sending money is as easy as paying your Hydro bill online.

check out the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-5G3uygzaI&feature=plcp

Have you done business with them in the past?  How fast was it?

yes cavirtex is a secure bitcoin exchange
I do all my day trading their.

the pay bill thing is now even faster then b4, like 24 hours and you will see the money in your account. Then you can either place a bid and wait for someone to sell you coins, or buy them right away off the ask side. you can also sell your coins there.

We Canadians are spoiled by having such a gr8 bitcoin exchange

I see they now take 3$ from all transactions?  They also advertise that it takes 6 days to get money deposited.  You are saying they process within 24 hours normally?

Sounds like a very good solution... will try them out! Smiley

3$ is if you use direct deposit to fund your account with $$$, i think this method is much faster like a few hours.

i have no idea where you got 6 days! it never took them that long for me....

https://www.cavirtex.com/methods -> "Deposit Canadian funds"

Online bill payment    1-2 business days    Free
Cash Payment               4 to 8 hours             $3

their fees when trading will start off at 2% i think...
they had to UP the fees in order to make enoght money to stay in 100% legal and stuff

I do lot of trading so i get less fees... but 2% when buying your first few coins isn't much at all... especially considering most of the time your paying 10-20 cent lower then mtgox price.

Thanks for all the help you provided!  Greatly appreciated!  Ill try them out right now Smiley

EDIT: I just signed up and it takes 6 days to see money after a deposit: Deposits will take six confirmations (approx. 20-60 mins) to show up in your account.

Oh, and since I am new here, I would like to begin with small transactions and build up trust from there. Smiley

Thosecoins (or themcoins) seems to be doing good business.  Check that thread out.

I also recommend bitcoin-otc

I just read thosecoins thread... the guy was a scammer!

Hi,
I am new here... would like to buy some bitcoins at mtgoxprice * 0,95% price.

Hit me up if interested.  I can pay cash (mail cash to you) or pay by paypal (will mail the bitcoins on paper to the verified paypal address - to make sure I don't get frauded).  I can also meet you in person if you live near Montreal.

Hit me up if interested.  Really interested to get my hands on some bitcoins!
