1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: January 13, 2021, 01:45:35 AM
How about...you were wrong in 2015 and you wish you would have bought in 2016??  OMG
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally reached $20k on: December 17, 2020, 02:57:10 AM
Congratulations to all of the hodlers and believers.  This is just getting started, 2021 will be quite interesting.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: February 09, 2020, 05:22:24 PM
I was looking BitBay up on coinmarketcap this morning and see that it is no longer listed with an active price?  Anyone else?
4  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-01-28] Your Bitcoin Should Be Seized to Pay for Climate Reparations on: February 04, 2020, 12:06:49 AM
Wow this is absurd.  I have heard a lot of crazy connections with blaming bitcoin but this one takes the cake.  Why should bitcoin holders pay for climate reparations?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the cryptocurrency market starting to improve slowly? on: March 17, 2019, 07:47:02 AM
Yes, slowly but surely.  Many projects are quietly getting more partnerships and development remains strong. 2019 may be a year of repair and waiting for regulations, if regulations move forward we will see new people/institutions enter the market. What matters most is that volume is gradually increasing.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please DON'T pay any taxes on your crypto! on: February 24, 2019, 06:28:41 AM
Absolutely pay your taxes on crypto, this brings legitimacy to the space.  If you filed your gains in 2017 you can file your losses for 2018.  Here in the US we are required by law to report all crypto transaction whether it was a gain or a loss.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bela — Powering the Belacam Social Media Economy on: August 27, 2018, 11:57:35 PM
Disappointed that I held BelaCoin for over a year and a half and just found out I lose all of my 5900 belacoin because I did not catch the swap.  What are my options?  Thanks!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO hold for long term is better or Not? on: June 02, 2018, 04:42:38 PM
NEO is a great coin for a portfolio for many reasons.  If it takes off as planned in China as a primary smart contract coin then it will go to a much larger market cap.  Also, you cannot beat that you get GAS as you hold NEO.  Longterm on this one.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) on: March 28, 2018, 08:18:25 PM
First time I have seen this post, followed it here from Reddit.  How touching and inspiring and what an incredible human being.  Thank you for all that you did for bitcoin, your vision and talents will span decades and possibly centuries.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: March 25, 2018, 10:47:14 PM
Regulation will be overall good for the crypto/bitcoin space.  With more regulations more people that normally would not will invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin cannot grow with out getting along with countries and local governments.
11  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2018-2-4] [ BANKS OF AMERICA BANNING BITCOIN" on: February 05, 2018, 03:07:44 PM
More FUD and not even spelled right, clickbait.  Bank of America is not banning bitcoin, you can still use your debit card or bank account to buy and sell bitcoin.  Many banks are declining CREDIT CARD transactions and they should because it is risky for someone, especially new to crypto to put bitcoin on credit. Nice try though with this post.
12  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-02-05] China to Ban & Block Foreign Cryptocurrency Trading Platforms, ICOs on: February 05, 2018, 03:04:40 PM
They seem to be trying to take advantage of the recent FUD in the crypto market, and from a "crypto hater" point of view, this is the best time for them to release those news. No wonder bitcoin price is falling deeply, since every week we see some ban or tight regulation news all over the place. Some are true, others not so much, but it's definitely being a great way to keep the price down, and generate some panic sell.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see some news related to China banning mining as well, but I guess that miners are already preparing to move abroad for a while now, so although it will generate more FUD if it ever comes true, I don't think it will have major implications to the technology and the network itself.
From an investors point of view, this is the thing I always ask myself when I see FUD news. How does this affect bitcoin development? Normally it doesn't and that's why I keep holding.

The good news are, that they will run out of FUD news eventually, and after that we will probably see LN coming up, and it will be hard to stop BTC by then.

Totally agree with all of the above.  My first thought is they are enhancing the dip they know is coming from the chart to buy more and keep their people from taking profits, they certainly cannot like their citizens becoming independently wealthy outside of their financial system. I personally am enjoying this downward motion on alts and btc.  The bitcoin community has been through many bans and those that believe will remain calm.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Black January: Why is Bitcoin in Such a Bad Way? on: February 02, 2018, 07:56:48 PM
To answer this question one simply has to look at the bitcoin chart from 2015, 2016 and 2017 and focus in on the first part of it.  Same thing happens each year.  The Chinese start buying gifts and booking vacations for Chinese New Year up to 6 weeks before the actual holiday which is 2/16/18.  To add to this typical trend we have FUD coming from right and left as a way to diminish the technology. Technical analysis is your friend.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price recover? on: January 16, 2018, 11:11:38 PM
This most likely will be a quick recover, maybe by Sunday.  Bitcoin has died at least 20 times and it is not dead this time either.  There is strong support at 9k and should recover to new highs after that.  Just hodl and buy.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: SingularDTV on: January 12, 2018, 05:13:28 PM
You should be able to withdraw sngls. I just did yesterday

thank you for responding, where do I find them on bittrex?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SLR] SolarCoin | PoW to PoS v. 2.0 | Solar Proof of Generation (§1 = 1MWh) on: January 11, 2018, 05:53:17 AM

I noticed the jump in SLR a few minutes ago as everything else is bleeding and ran across that article.  Quite interesting!  This has always been a long term hold for me.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: SingularDTV on: January 11, 2018, 02:39:54 AM
I missed the delist of SNGLS on bittrex, seems like it happened fast.  Are my coins just gone?  I had those coins for over a year.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull market on: December 18, 2017, 01:51:06 AM
This run has still not touched the levels reached at the end of May and 1st week of June this year.  The USD value is way up for altcoins but the bitcoin value is still less than 50% for a lot of altcoins from the last bull run.  2018 is going to be interesting, will we carry these prices into 2018 for momentum who knows.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 05, 2017, 06:44:46 PM
If you google Ripple and click "news" there is a lot of action with the company with new partnerships all the time.  The price is a great accumulating price right now, there is support at .24 and an upside might occur soon.  Right now it is the bitcoin show and until it calms down ripple might stay stagnant.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will you still buy at 10k on: December 05, 2017, 03:55:12 AM
Yes.  Always buying bits of bitcoin within my budget at any price.  I try not to pay attention to the current price, rather my bitcoin total.  I have seen too many people get worked up about the price at which they bought and whether it drops or goes up, I try to explain it is more fun to consistently buy and hodl.
