1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going down on: February 19, 2016, 11:18:54 PM
It's not really going down tho... its been pretty sideways since we first hit $500 i would say (big picture)
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bad time to go long on: February 19, 2016, 11:18:23 PM
I don't think it's too bad of a time to go long, especially if you want to go really long. I think anything under 1k is a good deal
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome back $410 on: February 19, 2016, 11:17:01 PM
Time to hold, I think we have a good head of steam going to stay at this level. At the very least it's not worth the risk to sel
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: 400$ was the top on: February 19, 2016, 11:16:25 PM
$400 was not the top, it will go about $500. It really just has to at this point with the halving coming up. (if not it will be worth pennies)
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: wtf is going on?! on: February 19, 2016, 11:15:44 PM
Just regular volatility... we've actually been pretty sideways since we lasthit $500
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: February 19, 2016, 11:14:35 PM
It might, but we would be very lucky. The best hope would be a big push after it hits $500
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What year will Bitcoin reach $10,000? on: February 19, 2016, 11:14:02 PM
I doubt wel see 10k until atleast 2020, if not later. Just too high of a number seeing as it has not even reached half of that
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are you selling your bitcoins? on: February 19, 2016, 11:13:00 PM
I won't sell them until I get a good enough profit that I can start phasing out. But that won't be for a while, nnot before 1k a piece for sure
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: is it time to sell? on: February 19, 2016, 11:12:19 PM
I don't think it's a good time to sell. It may go down but not by too much. I would say see how things shake out for a few days
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY or SELL bitcoins ? What you prefer ? on: February 19, 2016, 11:11:43 PM
Its probably not good enough condition to buy but not bad enough condition to sell... hold
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: February 16, 2016, 12:38:40 AM
95% just to hold and profit. 5% was wanted to gamble at home because I was bored
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is archaic on: February 12, 2016, 02:28:11 AM
As with any new technology, the first of its kind will always lose out to a more improved technology down the road. It has the advantage of first mover status and market share yes, but other coins have the advantage of learning from BTC's mistakes.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: February 12, 2016, 02:26:36 AM
At that point I'd like to use it as a decent chunk of my retirement ha. If I can get to my goal of 10 coins and build alot of weath outside of BTC I think I can alteast downgrade to a part time job
14  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: February 12, 2016, 02:24:55 AM
Ride it out, if you have anything but play money in the system you already screwed up anyway.

Imagine if it tripled you would be upset
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mike Hearn needs to make a full public apology on: February 12, 2016, 02:24:12 AM
If one guy making a negative comment drops the price that much maybe we should be concerned about the longivity of bitcoin.

However, IMO its not so much what he said as just a shift in opinion that the devs can't agree on anything
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: $400 within 16/2 ? on: February 12, 2016, 02:22:30 AM
I think we will see an up tick soon, not sure if we will reach 400 but get pretty close
17  Economy / Economics / Re: America's new debt ceiling - $19,600,000,000,000 on: February 12, 2016, 02:21:11 AM
I do worry about never having a balanced budget. Would be nice to see that number atleast go sideways versus constantly up
18  Economy / Economics / Re: + Difficulty + Halving – Miners = ¿…? on: February 12, 2016, 02:19:35 AM
You have to hope that

1) the price of BTC goes up to compensate the halving
2) Technology increases at a rate that can help ease the costs of mining
19  Economy / Economics / Re: POP QUIZ: Do you believe that BTC is the world's future money system? on: February 12, 2016, 02:18:36 AM
Nope Bitcoin never will be. 95% of this being based on my idea that we will never ever see a world wide money system.

I think it could be a viable part of it however.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: February 12, 2016, 02:17:03 AM
I try to avoid spending at all costs, I don't want to end up like the pizza guy kicking myself for spending them all
