1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How can I protect a wallet from being opened? on: July 30, 2016, 10:46:09 AM
Thanks.  But just wondering.  What's the reason for it asking me to enter a password when I'm creating the wallet? When is that password used?
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / How can I protect a wallet from being opened? on: July 30, 2016, 10:04:26 AM
I created a wallet and gave it a password. Now when I click on Electrum on my Mac it allows me to open the wallet without entering a password. What if someone just walks over to my computer and does the same? Is there a way I can password protect the wallet from being opened?

4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: i heard someone attacked bitcoin network by lot of transaction...? on: March 02, 2016, 10:24:57 AM
hey all come on...lets discuss someone attacked on bitcoin block by making lot of transaction with lowest transaction fee.
Hardly an attack. Pay a higher fee than those unconfirmed low-fee transactions and you're fine.
so its my responsibility to pay higher fees when there are lot of transaction in pending and block is full. do you really think its our responsibility?
i think in this case we should change the cryotocurrency coin.

You are free to do that if you want.

Mike caused hundreds of thousands of people to see a drop in the combined value of their assets of around a billion dollars.  He tried to ruin years and years of work done by thousands of bitcoin professionals.  Tried to damage a technology almost as important as the internet.

Nice guy.  I'm sure he will be happy with his new friends.  He'll need them as I guess he just lost every professional friend he ever had.  He sure lost all of my respect and caused me a few sleepless nights.

Thanks Mike

Enjoy what you made for yourself

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When push comes to shove. How many % of the hash power will run "classic"? on: January 17, 2016, 03:32:21 PM
I think it's a non issue.  Three stooge inactive developers who tried and completely failed with XT now want Classic while the other 35 or more active core developers are getting on with there work and have no interest in dealing with these guys and the forum trolls. I predict this thread will soon fill up with answers from the trolls. All I can guess is these people think they were too late with Bitcoin and are now trying to bring down the price.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mike's announcement in his new role as bank employee and Bitcoin competitor on: January 15, 2016, 06:09:59 PM
So now it's out in the open.  Mike's announcement was a planned and scheduled event timed to create the most damage at just the right time.

What else can you expect from a guy who left Bitcoin development and moved to join the banking sector R3 project.

Bitcoin Classic rolls out, and days later there is no word about it in the News Media.

Mike Hearn declares Bitcoin dead and within hours it is in the New York Times.....
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/17/business/dealbook/the-bitcoin-believer-who-gave-up.html

Mark my words: Bitcoin is getting ready to be in a fight for it's life.

On one side are the Blockstream/Core players.  Liars, manipulators, shill, not afraid to destroy the fabric of Bitcoin with every bit of FUD they can dredge up - even if it kills bitcoin, but if they can't have total control, no one can.

On the other side you have Mike Hearn w/R3CEV/Hyperledger/Banks (AND Mainstream Media & Govt backing - don't forget that!)

We are at the start of a foot race to see who gets ready forst for the upcoming global financial meltdown.

It's pretty clear that Bitcoin Classic will prevail in the upcoming March Fork given the huge amount of support / concensus for it.  But Blockstream seems to wat to make this a do or die fight, and they appear to be willing to destroy the good name of bitcoin if they don't get their way.  The looming battle may be the perfect backdrop of confusion and chaos for a Fiat Coin to rise from the shadows, and with the help of Gov't & Media nods - be introduced to the masses.

Fasten your seatbelts kiddies.... this is going to be a wild ride.  Right now I am betting 50% on Classic / 50% on Fiat Coin.  Current 1mb Blockstream/Core Coin not even worth mentioning in my opinion.  I see 0.001%.

50% Classic - Please don't make me laugh so hard.

I've only been following bitcoin for the last 6 months.  I am guessing that Satoshi is shaking his head in disbelief when observing what Gavin is trying to do to Bitcoin.
