1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bithereum (BTH) - The Harmonization of Bitcoin and Ethereum on: November 27, 2018, 09:54:59 AM
This is something I will deffo start mining once mainnet launches! Looks very very interesting ! Smiley

If it is GPU mineable, I will give it a try.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of cryptocurrency on: May 19, 2018, 03:49:59 PM
in cryptocurrency, the onset of fall in prices is something very common. No need to fear, because there is a sharp decrease in each, would be followed by a sharp increase. So stay afloat and be patient.

I had similar experience. So I hold the coin, the good ones like Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and do not trade frequently.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.5 (Windows/Linux) on: March 14, 2018, 08:22:00 PM
I'm still on the 10.6 version, which gives me over 196mhs on my 13 rx560 cards (using linux/hiveos).
From the 11.x version, I lost about 0.800 per card, which means that I lost a big 10mhs for my rig.
Using the 11.4 version, things got a little bit better, but still under 10.6 version. With this version I got 194mhs.
Not tested yet the 11.5 version, but probably the -oldkernels switch will bring me back the best performance I had with claymore.

that is right. But the stale share is less. So you might end more valid shares.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: November 21, 2017, 12:36:07 PM

when I have bought it if I will get guidance on how to use the tool
because I still lay in this case and I really want to try it

There are good instructions.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Zcash on: October 07, 2017, 06:19:33 PM
Some incredible mining profit spikes on Zcash since last night but they only last a few minutes.  My rig makes about $8-9 per day the last week mining ETH/DCR or Zcash and last night Zcash spiked to $11.50 for a few minutes.

I'm even mining it with my AMD cards.  I did not realize how little power 570s and 580s use to mine Zcash compared to ETH and ETH/dual mining.  My 4 AMD cards are using almost 300W less when mining ZCash vs ETH/DCR!  That works out to about 75 cents per day saved on power and everything runs much cooler.  So now I am factoring that into my decisions about what to mine.

Is that $8-9 pre or post-electricity costs?

Not any more. The Zcash price has dropped a lot recently from the spike.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on CPU which will worth? on: June 29, 2017, 07:04:10 AM
Hello what to mine through the CPU, what will have a sence.

Is some coin which is designed to be not effective not only on the ASIC as is Ethereum, but also on the GPU?

Something what is tradeable and exist Android local Wallet app for it? Without it its little usefull for me as currency.

What about DigitalNote (XDN) or anything? I just wanna use my spare desktop(Ubuntu) /Android/VPS(FreeBSD)  time for anything usefull Wink.

Any idea to have fun and have possible sence for future?

Edit: What about Monero?

Yes, you can mine Monero with a cpu (still weaker than a GPU). If you are just starting out and want to learn it's a good place to start.

There also might be some new altcoins you can try.

Monero is good for CPU mining if it has AES_NI.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: April 20, 2017, 10:58:17 AM
its not like this company isnt known for using their equipment first to drive up the difficulty and then shipping the used ones to people...  Roll Eyes

Agreed.

But it might be the first time that Bitmain is not doing this just for short term profits. They also seem to be trying to manipulate the future of the Bitcoin protocol and prolong their advantage of covert ASICBoost mining.

Just to review, they're using customer funds to control Litecoin and indirectly control Bitcoin.

I pray that this bites Bitmain hard in the ass someday. We really need real alternatives to this evil company.

Either that or we need to form "Miners Anonymous" and get clear of this mess Wink

It seems like you just want someone to hate.   There isn't anything covert about ASICBoost and Bitmain has pointed out they are not currently even using it.   The only problem with ASICBoost is that Bitmain holds a patent on it in China.    However there isn't even any proof that it really works at this point either.

Now Bitmain is pumping out SCRYPT miners.   They are making money supplying the miners.   Of coarse the more they supply the less each one is worth.   However people are demanding the miners.   You can boycott Bitmain but you are probably going to be lonely.

If I can make money with the Bitmain miner, I will buy. It is simple.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: December 18, 2016, 05:11:30 PM
I think its better to save the coins till next month and not sell everything at this point. I believe the price will increase even more in the following days considering the current trend in the last few years.

So I think its safe to hold the coins and focus on other stuff. Grin Bitcoin prices will increase more and more, no worry about that.

Keeping a portion of your coins is always the best decision, because we may get a better price in coming time than this so if we sell all our coins today and tomorrow the price increases then we will surely regret our decision, and also if we keep all the coins and don't sell them ever then the price may drop down and then we will also regret that why we did not sell anything when the price was higher.

I would keep 90% of the coin for the long term. I do not plan to use or sell them for the next 10 to 20 years.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: December 06, 2016, 08:20:33 AM
Honestly, I'm very surprised we are seeing a rise in price right now.
Usually everyone in the West is spending their money on christmas presents, travel plans like vacations or going home for the holidays.
So price is more than likely being driven by Asia- India, China, etc.

If we get some good news on Segwit, the confirmation backlog being eliminated, or some new service starts accepting BTC payments,
hitting the $800 to $900 range by the mid of next year seems easily achievable.

The Chinese Yuan is decreciating, so the people there will buy the bitcoin to combat the drop of their wealth.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: October 11, 2016, 04:45:39 PM
I will never sell all of my coins in one time becuase i know that people are getting mad by putting everything for  sale you can better keep some of your coins ytou will never
know what the price will do.

That is true. If you think the bitcoin price will rise in the long term like it did in the past, it is better to hold.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: October 05, 2016, 04:57:30 PM
I do not think that it smart if you decide to sell all of your Bitcoin at once because there is always a chance that the bitcoin value is going to go up again.
So sell some Bitcoin and wait for it, maybe the price will rise again so that you will make more money.

But somehow it is still staying in its price and some members are getting bored just by waiting. I think they should do something else to make the profit larger as they grew their coins.

That is just a good consolidation. After a few more months of consolidation, the price will rise a lot.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: September 14, 2016, 06:08:01 PM
I do not think that it is a good idea to be selling all your Bitcoin at the moment because you are not going to make that much money if you do sell them right now.
I should wait for the value of the Bitcoin to go up so that you can get more out of it.

If you have purchased your coins at for say $350-$450 level then you can afford to sell some of them to grab profits, but its not smart move to sell everything at a moment as price will be much higher in future.

I bough most of the bitcoin when the price was $60. I still hold them as I think the price of bitcoin will rise further.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: September 03, 2016, 11:18:54 AM
This is not the perfect time to sell everything, as price is not too high at a moment and even if it goes higher I will never prefer to sell all my coins, I will surely hold some of them for future.

The bitcoin price at $575 is quite low. That is due to the investor's interest in Monero. When the mania dies down, the bitcoin price will rise.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: August 18, 2016, 07:47:47 AM
Im exited as i saw a thread from the owner of megaupload and he is coming with a new project related to bitcoin, this thread has raised my expectations about bitcoin on the next year, if bitcoin achieves more people, milions extra people demand and supply will start working at bitcoin, and price will raise fast and keep stable.

The price would surely rise when the community gets new investors in a large number but i guess it wont be able to make the price stable, because if new investors buy bitcoin which will make it rise on the other side a lot of people will sell their coins when they see a rise so that will not let it be stable.
but with the number of auctions conducted that the steps taken by the investors to buy bitcoin cheap, hopefully hackers will not be using bitcoin so the price can easily go up.

For the bitfinex exchange hack, the bitfinex has reported to law enforcement, so there is a possibiity that the hacker will be caught.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: August 03, 2016, 03:40:02 PM
considering bitcoin and potential declines, we dont want to think that the bull market is over by huge adoption it is expected the price would go a lot higher over the next 12 months.

Yes. The price could go higher in the next 12 months. But in the short term, the price could go lower.

In 12 months, the bitcoin price could reach a new all time high. But for the next few months, the price could be lower.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: July 20, 2016, 12:31:41 PM
i think the future of bitcoin will be more batter than present , i hope so that the government will soon adopt the receiving facility of bitcoin in everywhere in the future and then all people convert their money in bitcoin .

I don't think it would happen that everyone will convert their money into bitcoin and no one would use fiat, i would rather say it would be great even if bitcoin is used along with fiat without any governmental ban or anything like that.

Even if Government bans bitcoin people will still continue to use it as they are using it at a moment and I think bitcoin will be holding great value and great future ahead.

At the moment, there is no ban of the bitcoin in many countries. So it is legal for the people to use bitcoin.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: July 06, 2016, 08:26:56 AM
Every year, we have increase more and more in terms of adoption, the trend has been consistent for the past years so we need more years to gain massive adoption.

The price rises faster than the rate of the adoption. I think in the next 10 years, the price could be more than $20,000.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: June 22, 2016, 10:38:26 AM
Nobody knows what will happen to bitcoin after halving this summer but i am sure that in future bitcoin will be popular and also so expencive.

That's right, but I believe that when the halving happens, price will going to increase and more and more stores are going to accept bitcoin as a
method of payment. And than make the demand of bitcoin rise and tendency the price also is going to increase higher.

The bitcoin price market has already responded. The price rose more than 100% in the last 12 months. It might rise again.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: June 08, 2016, 02:50:48 PM
just as it as the finance games,I just let it earn more monney to me

How do you do that? Will you work for somebody and be paid by the bitcoin. I think that is a good idea.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: 460 before 12/4 ? on: May 25, 2016, 03:57:51 PM
Today's bitcoin price is 460 dollars again. It seems the price has not gone any where. It is very stable at the moment.

The price is actually going up. Its average price is higher than 5 moths ago. So it is very encouraging.

But the price did not increase over 2 months ago. It is still lower than $440. I thought it should be over $500 now.

to reach $500, will most likely occur when approaching halving or maybe after halving. at least halving take effect on prices.

If it's going to happen then it will be slightly (a few days) before the block halving takes place. I expect some serious dumps directly after the block halving.

I also had to think like that, I think there will be a huge dump after halving, because everyone had been waiting for it.

It depends on the price. If the price goes up, many people will still hold, hoping to sell at even higher price.
