Hi Andreas. That method did not work. The staking rewards got carried through with a cost basis from the transaction date, even though i labeled them income. So they did not aquire their true cost basis (zero) to carry forward in the system. In your guide here, https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000040107-how-to-track-staking-claiming-yield-farming-minting-Would it work to assign manually a cost basis of zero to the staking reward (BUY) of .1 CRO. shown in this picuture. Then, in the subsequent withdrawal of 10.1 CRO that zero cost basis of the .1 CRO would be averaged into the new cost basis of the 10.1 CRO? Thanks Chas Thanks Andreas. I will try this and let you know if i run into issues. @Chas Yes this sounds good even if I do not fully understand the crv/cvx crvcvx topic here. Convert sounds to me like a trade. If your country is not affected by the 10 year rule you do not need to use "staking" as trade group to separate the pools. @atkins69 You are welcome.

Hi Andreas
I have read the faq and docs on tracking staking - but since my situation involves restaking and compounding, I would like to confirm the step by step I came up with. Maybe if you can confirm or correct it will help others.
Lets say I intitially stake 10 cvxcrv on Convex, and earn 1 crv, 1 cvx, and 1 3crv as rewards. I want to restake and compound these rewards.
Step 1: Name Convex platform 'convex staking'. Deposit 10 crvcvx from 'my wallet'. Cost basis gets automatically assigned.
Step 2: Withdraw the rewards: 1 crv, 1 cvx, 1 3crv. Assign catagory 'income'. This automatically gives them a cost basis of zero moving forward in the system. Correct?
Step 3; Convert the rewards back to cvxcrv and restake. Zero cost basis gets carried forward automaticvally into the conversion from step 2. Now I have 10 original crv in 'convex staking wallet', and 3 'new' crv now staking - with two different cost basises.
Step 4: When I eventually stop staking and withdraw 14 cvxcrv to 'my wallet', all cost basis is correctly calculated already. I can then sell those coins: 10 carrying original cost basis, and the 3 coins from the second staking round having zero cost basis.
Does this work? Essentially just tracking profits, not staking and unstaking.
thanks
Chas

Hi Andreas
I guess you have an lot of clients starting to stake CRV via crvCVX on Convex Finance. Staking rewards in CRV & CVX. Is there a specific best way to track / import these staking rewards? Or is it completely manual? Thanks!

@St.Stephan We suggest to use API V2 for Binance and the BETA CSV importer. This will lead to best results according our feedback we get. But if you miss only those card transaction then you could proceed as you described importing only those after editing the file. @lerp I could add a custom price and modify the asset value: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000038312?lang=enAnd you would add a "lost" transaction for the amount you have lost. Thanks Andreas. Merry xmas!

@St.Stephan Please use API V2 together with BETA CSV importer. Binance should offer them in their "generate all statement CSV" which could be imported with BETA importer. Otherwise you have to add them manually in any case
Thanks Andreas. If I understand correctly: I manually import ONLY the card transactions, taken from the 'generate all' csv? That is delete everything except card transactions, and then import? That will play nice with my normal api job?

Hey guys - any way to keep track of purchases made with Binance Visa card? Each purchase creates a taxable event - must be a good way to do this?
Or does this happen automatically throught the api somehow?

You should put your allegiances aside and put your greedhead hat on.
BCH, or whatever it is, is going to have a smaller supply than BTC no matter what. Plenty of people will be too stupid or lazy to claim it. Others will have sold straight into the hands of pumpers already and will do so again when Poloniex and Coinbase release them.
If it's a pure alt, and it is, then it's inevitably going to become a whale toy like all the others. On top of that it comes with the big block agenda baked in and at least a few of them have very deep pockets and the hunger to scare BTC.
A super pump is inevitable in my opinion. Selling at this price level is fine for something that cost nothing, but it was created to make a point so sell it when that point is being made.
It'll whipsaw around forever now. The ETH flippening scared enough people, can you imagine how much a whale inspired BCH flippening would make?
And if there's another generalised alt tsunami upwards never forget the classic noob mind set of 'hey, it's Bitcoin but it's CHEAPER. Wow.'
One of the best, wisest posts i have read in weeks.

I had four wallets and did the standard Electron procedure after moving my BTC to fresh electrum wallets.
Two wallets came up with accurate BCC balance. The other two - which were both over 1 year old, with longer transaction histories, came up with way less BCC than should be there. Many tx's missing - both red and black.
I have switched between ABC servers manually, but nothing helps.
Anyone had this happen?
The two "new" BTC versions of these wallets do not have the tx history. Can I just create "version 3" of these wallets, and then import seeds from current version into Electron? Or should I move the BTC back into the original wallet and try again?
You can use this very handy website: https://blockchair.com/Are the missing tx's on both blockchains? If you were controlling the private keys during the split, you should be able to access them on the BCash chain. I can't help you specifically with Electrum because I only use full nodes, but at least with full nodes, the idea is to send the coins to another address, then import this empty wallet into the BCash client, then you should see the entire transaction history and the same amount of BTC you had but in BCH. It should be the same procedure with Electrum (I think, im not sure) You should ask here for further help: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2059111.0Thanks for your reply. Situation is now solved. I simply kept changing ABC servers manually and restarting both wallets. After about two hours they suddenly each updated to the correct tallies and tx's. It was a bit scary, because about 30 percent of the tx's in the Electrum wallets were missing from the Electron wallets, in a fashion that reduced the wallet balances to nearly zero.

Any ideas why the exchanges are speculating a drop to 1723 in the short term? http://www.bitcoinforecast.comAlthough this is not always correct, bitstamp nailed the most recent drop within a few bucks. What a bunch of fucktards having an anti-trump disclaimer on their site. The label has the typical "trump be raycist" statement, but all the word racist means nowadays is white people that refuse to be cuckolds for brown people. No, racism has not narrowed itself down to fit your narrative of it. Honestly, I respect your trading posts. I think they are well written and show insight. But whatever politics you have, you would never trade them - and your skin color - for being a black person getting stopped by a white cop. Would you.

Hi RavenBitcoins, this is Weiting from WageCan. If you need any information about WageCan feel free to PM me, I'd love to help We recently just have some price off: - Golden Card: 10% off (USD only, can be shipped to US and India)
- Universe Card: 45% off (Physical/Virtual included)
P.S. you could use referral code 7NNcu6J6 or this link https://wagecan.com/s/7NNcu6J6 to get extra 20% off. I will be working on a new list now.
Hey Weiting, two questions: 1) I was really happy with Wage Can. But then you really shafted all your Silver Card holders a few months ago - that card cost almost 100 dollars, and when you lost your provider, you did not refund the cost of your cancelled cards, or even offer free transition to new non-Wave Crest card. What are you doing if anything to fix that situation? Any plans to do right by your earlier customers? 2) Wave Crest is the provider of your Universal card? Are they also the provider of your Golden card? OP - thanks for your good work. Maybe consider adding in your new write up card provider - Wave Crest, etc?

Got the "trial" mail from EOS. No mention of being able to buy with BTC at ICO. Anyone heard different, about either EOS or Status?

What a sad thing. Page after page of people looking for involvement from devs. MTP now 1 month late. And the devs - despite the 20% slice of the pie - cannot be bothered to interact with the community on a daily basis?
Shame on you.

Eye opening thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/6am251/what_are_everyones_thoughts_on_tezos_coinss_ico/dhhemcg/Some pretty solid questions get asked, but whoever this dude is that is answering officially from Tezos just throws a temper tantrum. A lot of interesting questions get asked, and he can't be bothered to answer any of them. Just attacks the guy with ad hominems for asking. That might fly for some obscure little start up but wtf, these guys are hyping up the biggest sale in crypto history. Each of them personally stand to make multiple millions of dollars. For that they could answer a few questions.

And if you Komodo people think this infection won't spread to Komodo and poison your investment - just watch carefully what happens over the next weeks.
SuperNET cannot even become reality without Komodo. Komodo can exist with or without SuperNET. Projects DO NOT get abandoned solely over getting delisted. So... considering that it sounds like you'll be placing UNITY Asks in the near future, maybe you should stop with the self-sabotage. But it's none of my business! The assets of Unity could - and should - be sold to unwind Unity now that it is no longer a viable market traded product. There is no need for supernet to become a "reality". Three years of hype with nothing to show speaks it all.
