Excellent post, David.
I think jabbawa's supposed apology post was not what David was looking for it showed only a bit of remorse.
I hope this shows David can be more reasonable than his detractors think.
David delivered everything he said he would and is required to.
The rest from here is all community effort. And yes the Foundation is a community effort as we funded it.

What's up with the Big Deal? There was so much urgency for the community to raise the funds by a certain date then we hear absolutely nothing. If it's some bullshit thing, I would like my Iota back, I can put it to better use.
How did you think you'd get reacted to when you ask if its some bullshit thing? Really? Really? And asking for it back, really? Really? Maybe you sold to guys good for iota maybe not. But regardless, the way you brought up this big deal inquiry was just retarded and trollish even if you aren't one. You really couldn't have asked it in a better way? You're trying to help iota and your investment. Is being antagonistic to David really the smart way to go? We all are in this together. If you're helping iota, great keep at it. If you want hard answers about the big deal bullying your way is not going to work. And if you don't like David's "secretive" answers then tough. Thats what we signed up for. Being an ass never works.

I did not want to call out yumei as a fake because there was a 1% chance he really got scammed. But to me it was obviously a lie. He gets scammed for 10 btc
and yet he spent most of his time trying to say Dominik's harmless comment is a serious warning against iota as a whole. Btw according to yumei Dominik
is the main lead super dev of iota as well as Captain America, the inventor of rice, and the king of Narnia.

Other possibility. Yobit owns zero Lisks and after launch they pretend their passphrase doesn't work and tries to blame Lisk devs or the Lisk system itself. That itself can cause enough fud to drive prices down and they can buy it cheap to fulfill orders.
Thats if they even intend to fulfill the orders. They might try to pass the buck to Lisk somehow. We'll see. But its not intelligent to be buying Lisks on Yobit now.

i speculate sia funds are a better investment than sia coin because infinite money True. But if Sia becomes what it set out to then its market cap will be in the billion(s). So i'd say still a pretty good coin to accumulate now.

I suppose I'm still not sure what "support" will mean - if XCR team really does move on full time on to LISK, then it will be a real travesty to not airdrop to the legacy XCR crowd. Every investor would just prefer to have a diluted stake in LISK as opposed to holding the bag of a protocol with no devs working on it.
I'm sorry, but that IS just a name change and new ICO hoping to score more cash in a way that totally devastates all investors in XCR. It would be unconscionable.
For sure its not pretty but what can you do? Crypti foundation had a plan for the dapp fundraising. They had no idea Max/Olivier were going to do this. I guess after going over their options its pretty obvious Crypti can't compete and if Lisk is offering a conversion for xcr and want to take over. The foundation is like, ok you wanna do all the work from now on and think you can succeed? Go for it, we're tired. If don't want to see Eth as the only platform, consider supporting Lisk better than we had Crypti.

dzarmush, you're not getting it. Crypti is now Lisk. The Crypti founders including Boris who "was" Crypti, agreed they can't continue..
A newbie making statement about core team plans without any proof is very reliable. I didn't create the account yesterday. I rarely post obv. But is like something wrong with your reading comprehension? All of this is in the chat. You said you read it? Maybe you have multiple personality and the other you read it. Its all a little complicated so maybe I am not 100% accurate. But the bottom line is, Crypti foundation is no longer continuing and is fully supporting Lisk. Most of the foundation members are moving on to other things. And Max is waiting for Boris to decide what kind of role he might want to play in Lisk if any. Its all in the public chat, geez.

What is "more mention"? I'm really confused, you might be the stupidest person I've seen yet on this forum - please, try to comprehend the things you are reading. Since you believe in the project so much, go ahead and buy my stake in it. I am one of the largest holders.
Will be glad to escrow through someone and we can both be happy - show your support of XCR with more than empty words.
Otherwise, get out of the way so grown-ups can have a meaningful space to work out the problems that MAX and OLIVIER have caused the community in the last 3-4 days
You can't read? Then ask someone to read you my post. I buy on Polo. There are always weak hands that dump at low prices. You are eager to sell, so I most likely will be able to buy at 600-700 satoshi from you on Polo. And then invest it in Lisk at 1300 satoshi. I think that this whole thing will only bring good for everybody: both coins teams and their investors. Success of Crypti would bring more attention to its forks. Success of its forks would bring more attention to the original coin - Crypti. And now when Crypti team has a competitor I hope they'll start marketing in addition to amazing development work which is obvoiusly not enough for success. Crypti is better than Ethereum at this point but way cheaper because lack of marketing. dzarmush, you're not getting it. Crypti is now Lisk. The Crypti founders including Boris who "was" Crypti, agreed they can't continue. Their only hope is to put all their support to Max and Olivier for the original Crypti dream to continue. Naturally they will convert their xcr to Lisk so all their work will be rewarded should Lisk succeed. After Lisk launches, Crypti will be supported for like 6 months? Anybody is free to continue Crypti as its open source but why? Lisk will be the new Crypti for better or worse. Guys if you think we still have an Eth killer or at the very least a chance to take a big slice of Eth pie, don't sell any xcr for less than 1200 sats. I just hope the ico can raise enough btc.

plus it would have had a shit UI
I didn't know I'm that bad in front-end design, haha. In some countries, shit UI is a delicacy. Sorry, but that caught me by surprise so I laughed inside my brain.

I believe that dude was referring to David as 24. Although I have no idea if he really is. Doesn't look it to me. But yea, I'm pretty sure he's referring to David not CFB. Just saying.

OK freshman777 - and your qualifications are?
My qualifications are patience and understanding that cutting edge tech requires time and testing, more testing and some more testing. You lack these qualifications, from your posts. Go buy insured government bonds and treat yourself to 1% yearly risk-free profits. While I agree there is a finite amount of 'time' in a project before a beta should be released. I would prefer a functioning beta asap over waiting further, especially if we are talking GUI improvements over core functionality/viability. The brightest minds out there echo that minimum viable product wins over polished final when it comes to release cycles. And where did you see that this issue is trivial as GUI. This dilemma is absolutely core functionality related and irreversible. The few voting no for technical reasons are welcomed. But the few that vote no because they want it out now to.... you know.. sell it? Are foolish beyond words.

Everyone who said no, has zero knowledge technically what its about. Besides, all the no's are multi accounts of same guy. Everything child_harold says makes you scratch your head and go huh? I won't be sad when he and his small stake (to him big stake) are sold. Well to be fair all of us guys think our small stakes are bigger than they are.
|
|
|
I am not qualified to weigh in on the technical side
My point exactly. Who among us is? Like maybe two guys. Ridiculous. This is utter nonsense. …
Here: ball park eta til you have something in the wild?
By Christmas.Where did I go wrong? I always thought eta was estimated time of arrival. I always thought the definition of ballpark was "a non specific general guess". You and your sockpuppets aren't funny anymore. Come on seriously stop it guy(s). It was funny at first. This coin is not going to go live when there are technical, optimization, and/or security related issues on the table just to satisfy a small stake holder.

Remember the early days of NXT on Bitcointalk? So many technical, complex issues discussed by the community and hardly anyone talking about price. It's an amazing piece of work. I thought IOTA would be like that, but a lot of people here are too interested in a quick ROI for having done nothing but participate in the sale.
There's always going to be people like that nothing you can do. Just ignore them. They contribute nothing and are only thinking of themselves. Isn't it obvious people like that don't care. He wants it out the door now to sell the promise of a bitcoin killer to dump at big profit. It matters not to him if IOTA is broken. Clearly he demonstrated that. Just ignore him. Ignore everybody, including me.

I have no memory of anyone saying iota was finished prior to crowd sale. Purpose of the crowdsale
Development. The crowdsale funds will be used for further development and finalization of the IOTA software as well as development of the Jinn hardware processor which will strengthen and help bootstrap the network in its growing phase. Additionally funds will be used on marketing efforts to help nurture the growth of the IOTA network and community.
Calm yo-self, sir!

Can I get clarification on this?
1. The passphrase must contain a 9 in it? Or its optional?
2. Is 9 the only number allowed in the passphrase?

For anybody that knows is not Counterwallet a good one to use for this crowdsale? If I'm not mistake doesn't counterwallet use a single address for sending as long as you don't create additional addresses?

Can I just simplify this for me and hopefully for others. Is the bottom line that I can use whatever bitcoin wallet as long as I have full control over the private key?
Thanks
No. It may be very difficult for a non-advanced user to make 2 payments from the same address. So is the official recommended wallet blockchain.info? For average users? Is bitcoin core client safest? personally, just using bitcoin core is easiest and most straightforward, I think For something as important as this I don't mind downloading 50 gigs as along as its the most fool proof method.

I know the answer is yes, but i'm gonna post just to be safe. Using a blockchain wallet for the crowdsale is safe right? As long as i'm able to send a specific amount from the same address after the sale ends?
If you mean https://blockchain.info/wallet - yes, as long as BlockChain.Info is available or you exported the private key. Can I just simplify this for me and hopefully for others. Is the bottom line that I can use whatever bitcoin wallet as long as I have full control over the private key? Thanks
