5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / How long does bootstrap.dat take to import? on: December 11, 2012, 01:44:32 AM
So, I hadn't updated my bitcoin blockchain in a long time and it was taking forever to download. Then I found out about the Bootstrap.dat method. I downloaded it and put it in the bitcoin folder in my application support directory. I had deleted the whole directory and moved my wallet.dat outside of the folder in an attempt to restart the whole thing. Anyway, when I started it up it said "importing bootstrap blockchain data" and it has said this for about an hour now. Is this normal for it to take this long?

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Is there a way to transfer wallet.dat into a lightweight client? on: December 10, 2012, 11:43:47 PM
So, a while ago my bitcoin wallet got messed up and it wasn't working properly. Anyway, I saved the wallet.dat file and deleted the rest as to reset the blockchain and anything else, hoping that it would solve the problem. So I was wondering if there was any way that I could somehow get my wallet working on multi bit without having to send bitcoins to that adress.

10  Other / Beginners & Help / Mac Bitcoin-qt 7.0 crashing on: September 27, 2012, 01:57:12 AM
My bitcoin client has been crashing recently when I was downloading the block chain. Today, I downloaded the bitcoin-qt 7.0 client and I ran it, on startup it gave me an error
"A fatal error occurred. Bitcoin can no longer continue safely and will quit.

EXCEPTION: 22DbRunRecoveryException
DbEnv::txn_checkpoint: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
bitcoin in Runaway exception "

I went into application support/bitcoin/ and deleted all the files except for my wallet.dat, and it still gave me this error when I tried to start it, how can I fix this?
11  Other / Beginners & Help / How to update bitcoin wallet? on: September 24, 2012, 11:00:46 PM
Hello, I am relatively new to bitcoin, I was trying to register for bitcoin-otc and when I was going through the address verification process my bitcoin wallet said it needed to be upgraded. How would I go about doing this without losing my current address if thats possible (I already entered it in the address verification, but cannot verify with the current version). Thanks in advance.
