1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: October 13, 2014, 06:52:44 PM
Oh and I've tried a hard reset. No change.
Difficulty 128 is too high for a 10GH miner, to then try and get meaningful statistics out of it. The packets might have high discards due to the time they take to actually process [as far as I understand it]. If that's not the problem, then its still something to do with your proxy as the blade itself appears to be doing what its meant to.
Thanks Dogie. That makes sense. I'll run it on its own proxy and user to see.
That was it! Different user on the pool with correct diff for 10gh and a separate proxy and it's now showing 100% on the blade. As long as I know it just the blade incorrectly reporting the hashrate then I can still use one instance of bfgminer to control all.

Thanks again Dogie. Grin

Try again

pxy 0 is the blade. Please ignore the sick proxy

Pool is show the bfgminer total

pool shows the BFGminer total hash rate.

Anyone know why I seem to be getting only 50% efficiency (5 ghps) showing on the blade (v2) but bfgminer is showing 10 ghps. Not sure which is true. Huh

Keep us posted. I should be getting mine in a few days so would like to know the issues. What about psu/s? What are you using? I noticed these are rated at 1800 watts.

Nice work srcxxx! My 7990 is now running at 13.4 mhs per core running with auto-gpu. Only had 6.4 mhs p/c before. More heat now though!

RAM! I had the same problem with a new 7990. Put in another 2 gig of ram now it's fine.

Have you entered your password twice as well?
"enginehead:pass,enginehead:pass"

How come when I enter 192.168.1.254:8000 in my brower the menu doen't show up? I just get this screen: http://imgur.com/Op1aicm

Check your router. See if it shows on attached devices.

http://mmpool.bitparking.com/ is up and running. Got some blocks today!  Grin Try it to see if it's a pool outage.
Scrub that! Just switched to slush on my blade and hash rate went up. 10851 mh.

Still running slow and efficiency is horrible.

I tried a stratum proxy but it wouldn't even connect to it properly, I left it for 5 minutes and it received 8 and accepted 0

Hi the server address should be the IP address of your stratum proxy.

use the -gp 3332 option on stratum proxy to force a get work port. Then use that port number on your blade. I couldn't even connect to a pool directly.

X's I believe are bad news. It should be O's
Chip: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Sounds like trouble. Maybe your power source setup?

I'm wondering if its my jerry rig. I just wanted to get it started and make sure everything works. I'm still waiting on the power plug.

The PSU is fine, its an Ultra 500w that ive been using for my 3d printer for about 6 months.

Did you wire it up like the photo in the first post? You need 4 black and 2 yellow to give it enough power. Did you get the spare fuses as well?

/facepalm

I got it now. ty

Its hashing but is slow, does it take awhile for these to ramp up?

Give it a few minutes to ramp up. Was it the wires?

Yea, I had it hooked up to the red wires instead of the yellow. I'm a dunce. lol
No dunces here! It took me 3 hours to get mine running. Try a local stratum proxy if you don't get it running at full speed. Worked much better for me.

not enough subnet mask to go from 192.168.x.x to 10.x.x.x Smiley

Do you have a separate switch? You can manually change your PC's IP address to be 192.168.1.x just so you can connect to blade and change it's config
Yes, thx and just got pc to show 192.168.0.1 as gateway, however, I never got docs with new blade and do not know the blade IP plus if it is 192.168.1.x I am still off some with 192.168.0.x.

Also, good idea to change the blade and then can go back to 10.0.0.1 if needs be.

thx

ip should be 192.168.1.254 as long as your router gives that range. 1-254

You and me both! I've got the interface sorted. Using firefox on ubuntu. I think it was because I didn't have the trailing comma on the server and user:pass fields. Now that's sorted, next question stratum or gwp? I'm using bitminter.com as from previous posts this pool works with these blades.

Yes, specifying only 1 destination on any of the fields makes it go super funky.

And Yes, BitMinter works..
But, I tried out stratum via proxy, as Pistachio said, and yeah it is a hell of a lot more stable over stratum than directly from the blade.

The commandline for the proxy is very simple. don't try specifying a bunch of things, just let it do its thing.

mining_proxy_1.2.0.exe -o mint.bitminter.com
Yes to the above. Now running a proxy on a VM running on my 8 core. Will do as suggested next. All fpgas and asics running full tilt now. Nice! If it's working why fix it. Like the idea of the stratum proxy server working on the pi though. (best £30 I ever spent).
