1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Feedback Needed] - A Social Network for Cryptocurrencies on: May 12, 2017, 08:55:16 PM
Hey man, it lack any kind of draw for the average person, I think it has potential but a social media creative mind is needed.  I have significant experience working on altcoins in various social media capacities if you want to have a chat some time about the idea and possible draws.

What’s in the Works for ClubCoin? A fast, Private and convenient way to swap digital currencies.

In an effort to encourage accessibility, make trading ClubCoin and other crypto-currencies easier and further increase the ease of use of our upcoming merchant platform, ClubCoin has begun development of a new web application which will help revolutionise the way you manage your money.
ClubCoins new exchange focused application will requires no signup process to use, and will allow for nearly instantaneous crypto-currency conversion between ClubCoin and Bitcoin. This is in contrast to most other Bitcoin or crypto-currency exchanges that do require such information. With no bid and ask orders and accounts, the benefit of our new application will be felt with the development of a faster and more secure exchange platform.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Are Governments Beginning to Accept the Undeniable Future of Digital Currency? on: March 07, 2016, 12:03:00 PM
Check out this positive little article -

Link to article: https://www.reddit.com/r/ClubcoinCo/comments/49caio/governments_are_beginning_to_accept_the/

Real change in government opinion or not? Also despite, in most cases, the acceptance being a move based on greed and not for the benefit of people, how much will this help take power way from a central authority? Will digital currency just be come heavily regulated and inevitably centralised?

What stops this happening? Does anything?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Where is the Future on: February 16, 2016, 11:15:00 AM
The future of digital currency lies in how it fundamentally exists - Proof of work has its draw backs, as does proof of steak. Proof of chain can have a wide distribution reach, but it still depends on people making a few decisions initially. What is the best way for a crypto-currency to exist? I am a ClubCoin developer as as someone working in the industry, I don't think anything which exists now offers an optimal solution.
Thoughts? Shocked
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Opinion Required For Project] Altcoin Voting Platform on: February 02, 2016, 03:49:10 PM
I don’t like to give contact detail of my mobile. That is not a safe thing and I don’t want to share this information.

I think the best way is really IP-related. That seems to be legit and you will also get more voters then with the other options.

How about Email verification?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Opinion Required For Project] Altcoin Voting Platform on: January 26, 2016, 09:07:24 AM
Can't you give people a choice to verify by SMS or by vote from IP?

You would have to really trust the bitcoin specific live cd's because they could be comprimised already.

Is that something that has happened in the past?
10  Other / Archival / Re: How (and why) to use the Relay Network on: January 19, 2016, 12:24:38 PM
Is it correct that list of pools here has gone un-updated in a long time it seems incomplete... I thought that most major pools and large miners were connecting to the relay network in some capacity...?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: January 19, 2016, 12:13:32 PM
I agree with the decision, please, the point of the Alt Coin section of Bitcointalk was so that you could have basic conversation about whatever coins you wanted here. Things like in depth coin support and discussion, and giveaways are far better off on their own respective coin's forum. Its getting way out of control here, and we thought that just allowing for a little bit organization would help, but the effects of incentivized posting is spamming the forum, and its spilling over to the rest of the boards.

Quote
Seems like a good idea. It was getting out of control and it's encouraging them even more to create and market 1000000 new cryptos that just saturate the market...

Lots of peoples, big potential, just censored. And it's a good idea ?

Why not a subforum ?

And what's about giving away the 6k of donations peoples did to you to get a nice forum ? Peoples asking for giveaway threads that's why there is a lot. So we gave 6k to get pulled out ?

Bitcoin forum
, people donated for a Bitcoin forum. Many of those people want Alt Coins gone entirely from Bitcointalk. The Altcoin section was made essentially as an off topic section, to group all non bitcoin crypto currencies in one place that is out of the way from the Bitcoin discussion. The spam is overwhelming the entire forum.

Don't see why they want this, I mean if peoples don't go out the alt section, where is the problem ?
It's 1 forums against more than 10 others and it's one of the more dynamic ...
All alts are bitcoin (NXT is the exception ?) based, so they are part of bitcoin and they have a spot here. If it's a bitcoin forum here, the bitcoin childrens should be accepted.

I call for organisation instead of censorship.

It does seem a little extreme to say the spam is overwhelming the entire forum. I agree if people don#t adhere to the sections and the rules they should be banned but give away's can be about the distribution of wealth or community building within the realm of digital currency.

One might claim that Alt coins in general, well in their more pure forms, can help encourage the positive growth of a decentralised digital currency. As a development of bitcoin surly this deserves a place amongst the forums in some way. It is just about making room and a discourse which a majority can agree with.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Pool advertising is no longer allowed on: January 08, 2016, 10:28:02 AM
this is bullshit rule that fucks over those of us who want to find pool fast and grab some of the first low difficulty coins, i don't want to be checking the mining subforum or waiting for dev to get pm and add to op, this only wastes time and allows ppl with their own mining hardware and insiders to get more of the easy coins

its only spam when pool owner post their link in the same thread multiple times, don't see the problem allowing them to post once
We've had some serious trouble with pool spammers (those adding any coin and posting (nearly) an identical message to all altcoin announcements). They just clutter up a discussion and can be avoided simply by making people add pools through PM. If you want to mine a coin early, mine it solo. If you can't, don't worry - probaly nobody will be until the coin author adds the info.

I agree, I think it is fairly obvious when someone is spamming multiple threads and when announcements are being posted to keep communities informed. It is unfortunate that a few make life more difficult for the many but it seems to be the way of things.

It seems this is an old coin POW is long over

Yes, the PoW is long over since October. The distribution was given out to Bitclub Networks as a form of ICO. As of 3 weeks ago, we took over the coin to ensure that both Bitclub Network and Clubcoin are kept separate and that everything is completely community ran.

So no coins for bitcointalk members only if they buy from bitclub members on an exchange. Big no from me

I should mention that we will be doing a public giveaway shortly and we will be posting the details soon. We got a ton of coins to give out to everyone. Initial distribution was to Bitclub Network members.

Cheers.

I'll wait and see if there will be a public giveaway. I now have a wallet and it is synced and ready. :-)

Send me your address bro and we'll throw in a few coins to get you going!

It is, for us, all about creating a currency which is developed and by the community. Big picture is building enough transparency, definitive reliability and a strong, and ultimately large, community. We need interest, ideas and support so that in the future economies can become somewhat more sustainable and are not controlled by centralised ruthless entities. ClubCoin is just a part of step towards that.

Keep the faith and avoid the traps. It isn't easy by we are determined not to let down anyone of our community members as they are the coin.

Sorry for the rant lol, Hope all is well - Happy New Year dude!
