I made this task. He payed first, right after I tell him that work is done.

Everything went smooth! Thumbs up!
2  Economy / Services / Java miniMax implementation 50$ worth of BTC reward on: January 06, 2015, 01:20:57 PM
Hi

Got a pretty straight forward task, i´m looking for someone to implement the minimax algorithm(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimax) for a simple game Kalah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalah)

I´ve got a working server+game functionality done already, the only thing that needs to be done is minimax implementation for determining the best move. The simplest version of the algorithm is good enough
If it sounds like a task for you, please send me a PM

3  Bitcoin / Mining support / r9 280x+7970 crash on: December 16, 2013, 12:59:21 AM
Hi!

I recently bought a r9 280x card(sapphire) to mine alongside my old  7970 card, but for some reason after a few minutes of mining the gpu crashes.
Its not overheating, my old card never goes above 82 degrees, and the 280x is around 73 degrees constantly.

I´ve tried to synchronize the clocks on the 7970 to match the 280x, disabled the ULPS in the sapphire trixxx utility, even tried using crossfire when mining, nothing helps.
Using the 13.11 Cataclysm version+cgminer 2.11.4 on a win 7 machine.
Couple of days ago i somehow managed to get both cards running at  full speed for a couple of days, then it crashed and haven't succeeded in replicating the results.

I suspect its my old card screwing something up, i could run both of those cards when i lower the intensity from 13 to 11 on the 7970.
I´ve tried both multiple instances of cgminer, and one to operate both cards, didn't make a difference.

Using a 850 watt PSU, and according to the online calculators i used it should be enough to run both of those cards on my system.
I´m all out of ideas, and hope someone can help me out  Huh

EDIT:
The 7970 crashes when the temperature hits 82 degrees apparently..and for some reason it is listed as "disabled" in cataclysm

When are you planning on unlocking the possibility to change the payout address?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 21, 2013, 07:54:15 PM
I have ATI HD 7970, currently getting 606 kh/s.

My clocks are GPU 1125 and memory 1575. Using cgminer 2.11.4. (Maximum overclock, this card comes with 925 and 1375 stock clocks and it is stable)

How do you guys get close to 700, I have tried playing with my clocks, tried to get 0.57 ratio between GPU and memory, no luck. Drivers are 13.1.

My current setting are --worksize 256 -g1 -I 13 --lookup-gap 2 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192

Any ideas?

Thx

I have nearly identical settings to yours, but i have -g2 instead.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 21, 2013, 05:13:29 PM
I was poolmining with intensity 20, cgminer showed my hash rate being about 700kh/s, but the pool registred <10 kh/s.

I lowered intensity to 13,and now the pool accepts my shares much more frequently.

cgminer shows the 580kh/s rate atm.

Is that a common problem? i should be able to poolmine at higher intensity, right?

EDIT:

Think i finally managed to sort out my poolmining ! Smiley

cgminer says i´m hashing at around 700kh/s, but the website says my speed is about 7kh....

I used your .bat file generator tool.

it says 42 is my "best share", seems like i hash alot of garbage?

Any suggestions?

Solo mining atm, 685khash/s, overclocked the card to 1100/1500,70° at full load.

Should i push the card even more? 70° is pretty decent at fulll load, isnt it?
the card is a 7970.

Used SoloEasy tool to get the cgminer running, intensity at 20, averaging about 630 khash atm.

Stuck at around 300 khash/s on my 7970 atm Sad

running factory clock settings, using reaper.

Code:
worksize 256
aggression 13
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 18
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 8192

have tried alot of diffrent clock settings/thread conc, the best i managed around 500khash/s.

Any suggestions?

woah there cowboy...

use these settings..

worksize 256
vectors 1
aggression 20
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 28
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 21712

note: you'll need about 2gb of system ram PER CARD using reaper

i'd personally recommend cgminer.

620khashes now, yay:D

I couldnt get the cgminer to work before for some reason, but will give it another try!
thanks!

1) Why are you using one year old code, that was broken back then, to mine with? Use cgminer.

2) Of course you're getting 300kh/s at aggression 13. Increase it to 18, or 20.

had no clue it was broken:O

Fixed my problem. Downloaded another version of the reaper+added "device 0" just before "mine litecoin" otherwise it seems to be using the CPU insted of GPU.

Cant get solo mining to work:(

have tried to change things around about 100 times in the config file..

Litecoin.conf in the roaming/litecoin folder:
Code:
rpcuser=xxx
rpcpassword=xxx
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9332
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

block_nTime=1317972665
block_nNonce=2084524493

Reaper folder:
reaper.conf
Code:
kernel reaper.cl
save_binaries yes
enable_graceful_shutdown no
long_polling yes

mine litecoin

litecoin.conf

Code:
host 127.0.0.1
port 9332
user xxx
pass xxx

protocol litecoin

worksize 256
aggression 13
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 18
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 20992

Any ideas?

I have free electricity atm, so the voltage etc dosent really matter for me.
Should i still go for the 7950? Kinda had my mind set on that 7970 Tongue

your temps will drop like a rock if you get that voltage to the proper level.. typically i have it at 0.05v above my mhz level. its WAY better for your cards, you'll reduce how fast you heat up the room and it'll be quieter with the fans slowing down some

for example: 1.0ghz = 1050 (1.05) voltage in afterburner

also.. the 7970 is about 5-8% faster mining vs a good 7950.. but 33% more money (400 vs 300 usd in the states)

already ordered the 7970=P
Still have 2x pci-e16 slots over, so might go for those in the future.
Btw, are ALL of those cards voltage locked? Or just the newer editions? And what temperature are your cards at when mining?
Even if i manage to burn it out after a while, 2 year waranty should help, no?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 13, 2013, 12:03:48 PM
Placing a order for my first 7970 on monday:)

SAPPHIRE RADEON HD7970 DUAL-X 3GB, thats the one i should get, right? Been reeding in this thread, seems like khash/s is pretty poor on those factory overclocked Ghz editions.

If you want a MUCH better value, get this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414

I have 2 of those.. and 1 of the 7970 sapphire dual-x.

the 7970 gets 690khash..

each 7950 ($100 cheaper) gets 670+khash

I agree, everything I have read suggests the Gigabytes (7950 and 7970) are great LTC miners. Only problem is they are voltage locked so if you live in a country with high electricity prices they might not be the most efficient.

Open case would be cool!

Gonna search the interwebz for a cheap one with reasonable postage price to europe.
Full tower would wreck my budget even more! Already up about 400$ more than i originally planned:P

Cba building my own case at this point.

This will work: http://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-Plastic-Storage-Crates-Black/dp/B0001ACQQA

Srsly!

Thanks for the link. Think i´ll go for http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6674 case insted.

After a quick google search, apperently the x16 extenders are expensive as hell here in sweden(compared to ebay)
Cba ebaying it, and running around town gather the other materials, so think i´ll go for a propper case insted.
Besides, the most cheap ones are shipped from china, and it takes ages for it to get here:P
