1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a revolutionary currency but a fairly inefficient payment network on: October 18, 2016, 11:35:36 PM
Yes, bitcoin is a near perfect currency on the on-chain settlement layer but very inneficient as payment network, since it can't scale on-network, therefore it will need offchain solutions like lightning network and such.
I think, bitcoin is more of a crypto-asset than a crypto-currency. It lacks many properties a currency is supposed to have...

franky1 incoming in 5....4....3....2....1.....
Who's franky1?
I enjoy it as a crypto-asset (I like that name) much more so than a currency, and I've said that many times.  I hold it like I'd hold gold or silver.  I have yet to actually use it to buy something, and I have no desire to do so.

Aside from that, I'm glad other people are smarter than me and can make arguments like OP, of which I didn't understand a word.  Smiley
2  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling blueberry muffin quest bars on: October 18, 2016, 03:43:52 AM
Um.  For $20, you are going to get a grand total of zero orders, especially with what little sales pitch you've provided here.  Reading what you wrote does not inspire me to want to try your product.  Why spend $20 on something I could get, or get close enough to, for much much cheaper?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why dump traditional payment options for Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2016, 12:42:23 AM
Everything has your own demons...

It's cheaper? Can you imagine the fee's with the 1mb if a lot of people start to use?

It's faster in somethings and slower in others...

"It's free"... It's money, money isn't free.. (internet/cellphone/pc isn't free)

Global - ok
I could never figure this one out myself.  Tried to convince my mother and argument failed spectacularly.  There's really no advantage to spending bitcoin versus traditional fiat.  To me, anyway.  The value is in holding it, much like precious metals.  People will use it for dark markets and gambling, so that creates demand and a chance for price increases.  Hell, look at the price now compared to bitcoin's inception.  It's definitely taken off.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: October 18, 2016, 12:24:18 AM
Can't believe all the garbage coins that are being hyped up in this thread.  I've said it before, the only coins really worth owning are bitcoin, ltc, doge, and dash.  The other ones are getting close to their expiration date.  The clock's ticking.

A lot of people are young on this forum and have not seen all of this crap before.  Gimmicky things don't retain their value.  Anyone remember the comic book market around 1993 or so?  Foil embossed, die cut covers, limited editions, etc.  It was all crap and you find that stuff in the dollar bins at shops.  So these gimmick coins are just destined to be worthless.
5  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Best selling item online for bitcoins? on: October 18, 2016, 12:10:25 AM
That's interesting that comic books made the list.  I'm not sure if I should be surprised by that or not, because I used to frequent a comic book chat board and never once saw bitcoin mentioned.  And on the other hand, comic book nerds would seem to be the most likely ones to use bitcoin.

For better or worse, I always associate bitcoin with Silk Road.  That association is never going away.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Petition for sites to accept Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2016, 03:07:34 AM
I think online petitions are useless in general, and though a large corporation might acknowledge such a thing, it won't sway anyone.  But who knows, it could work and if you're set on having bitcoin accepted it's worth a shot.  Then again I'm not sure what the big deal with that is.  Cash money is still the best payment method, and bitcoin has too many problems in my mind.  Better to just keep it and speculate with it.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: It took only 11 days to go from 639 to 1148 last time on: October 17, 2016, 01:58:40 AM
Yes, it's strange to me that the halving had so little effect on the price, but whatever.  People are always speculating on bitcoin, and I think we're in for a moon shot pretty soon.  That is just my gut feeling, and we could certainly crash too.

I think I bought some above $700 and lost money.  Eh.  Goes with being a speculator.
8  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.03 on: October 17, 2016, 01:54:50 AM
Lionidas, I do hope you get your money back.  You know to be more careful in the future, so I won't tell you that...but Khym you probably could have seen coming a mile away.  Scammers are everywhere on this forum.  I suspect he's run away, because that account of his isn't worth what you gave him.
9  Economy / Lending / Re: Need $500 Urgent! Bitcoins Not Needed! 15% Interest will be Given! 5 Days on: October 17, 2016, 01:27:12 AM
If you don't offer a valid collateral you won't find a lender.
Did you read the No Collateral No Loan rule?

I understood that, thank you for that message.

I just want to know that why is an collateral asked?

I understand when it comes to bitcoins, because if you lend bitcoins, and i dont pay bitcoins back am sure money is gone, so can you tell me in what way it happens in this case?

Even i see that people offer without collateral, am i posted wrong way?

you asking a big loan without any history here.
98% chances that you will get the money and go away...
for this number is the collateral!

better now?  Grin

Save this message. One person is enough to trust on me and i can show what i am. I dont need tens of persons to loan me. Moreover people who message here doesnt even know about what collateral i am saying. If i sippose buy an item and didnt receive my item. Dont you think i get money back?

But just quote this message.
What don't you get about the collateral thing?  You have no reputation here and you're a newbie.  People scam for pennies on this forum, so no one in their right mind is going to give you cash or bitcoin without you putting up something worth 120% of what you're asking.  It just isn't going to happen.  You can't even put in the effort to string sentences properly, so what does that tell you?
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: i want start cloudmining !!! on: October 17, 2016, 01:23:23 AM
Lol, you know that cloud mining is a shit, that isn't profitable or it's ponzi hyip schem and you still want to invest on it to risk your money. But the money is yours, you do what you want with it...

I just think there are risks worthing more than cloud mining. Better to use all BTCs in a Dice game than on a cloud unprofitable mining site.  Tongue

Ditto.

OP I know you're not trying to hear that cloud mining is a scam and such, but just be careful because so many people have gotten burned trying to do what you're doing.  Try the one suggested above, but I wouldn't risk much. *psst...they're scams*

11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is any new way here to earn bitcoin very fast? on: October 17, 2016, 12:03:10 AM
The fastes ways are illegal. It is something as stealing and hacking. But that are not ways you are asking about I guess. I would call my favorite way for making bitcoins fast it is commenting on the forum. When you reach the rank of hero capaigns pay you really good money for your comments and in you are active speaker and have great knowlages about bitcoins and crypto world - you can make bitcoin fast this way as well.
Yeah, but the signature campaign route isn't exactly *fast*.  The Yobit campaign is relatively fast, but they are not open to newcomers anymore.  As stated above, scamming is the quickest route.  That's the answer to your question, but don't do it.  Be honest lest Karma bite you in the ass.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pump Watch on: October 16, 2016, 10:58:46 PM
Poloniex all the way, and then probably Yobit.  It seems like there are more gamblers on Yobit and they might be a good place for an altcoin pump but who really knows.  Have not touched the other exchanges (yet).

Is something primed to explode??
13  Other / Archival / Re: pot.senior member on: October 16, 2016, 10:56:58 PM
I would bet my last dollar that YPII is an alt of someone else with a lending service, perhaps Quickseller.  Does anyone else feel the same way.

YPII, I apologize for invading your thread but I had to say the above.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is being invaded by Leftists on: October 16, 2016, 10:52:49 PM
Well that's what happens when you let the whole effing world in on the secret...what did you expect, comrade?

But seriously, does it really matter all that much who uses bitcoin?  It's kinda like being concerned that terrorists are buying stocks in the bull market.  Who gives a crap?  Everyone is welcome to do as they please!
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the economy situation in your country that bad? on: October 16, 2016, 06:07:13 PM
Nah, not too bad at all.  Of course I've had a job for the past few years so I don't know if the labor market is tight.  But it definitely isn't as bad as it was, say, in 2010.  Unemployment was ridiculous.   And right now inflation in the US isn't that high.
16  Economy / Services / Re: Profit for sale on: October 16, 2016, 12:34:59 AM
OK, this has got to be one of, if not THE, worst sales pitches I've read in quite a while.  Don't people here want to be taken seriously when they're trying to get your money?  I think perhaps the OP here is in the wrong language forum.
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why Africa are not really make it in bitcoin?. on: October 15, 2016, 10:48:34 PM
I have to say, I don't find it surprising that OP hasn't found much interest, but that has little to do with him being from Africa (it'd be nice to know what country, BTW).  I'm in the US and I've tried to get other people interested to no effect.  You either like bitcoin or you don't, and the community at large is pretty damn small.  But props to OP for trying to spread the word.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: Currently, what's your way of generating Bitcoins? on: October 15, 2016, 09:50:32 PM
OP, that's interesting.  I've heard about steemit on this forum but don't really know much about it.  Earning anything from writing is very cool.  I guess you could say signature campaigns are a way to do that, but it's not quite the same thing.

I *generate* bitcoin by the above and buy it with earnings I get from my job.  I don't know much about mining, so I leave that to the whales to do.  Definitely nothing passive, though I get the appeal of that.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In what gambling games are you good at? on: October 15, 2016, 09:47:13 PM
Blockchain based gambling games with 0% house edge. Wink
I'm not sure how *good* anyone is at games with fixed odds.  You either get lucky or you don't.  I'm decent at sports betting, but nowhere near good enough to make a living on.  I find it to be very risky, and it just isn't worth it to me.  But I love basketball, so that's the one I'm best at.

Altcoin trading I'm not too shabby at.  I do consider that to be gambling.
20  Economy / Lending / Re: Invest on: October 15, 2016, 09:45:05 PM
OP, you have to understand that *trust me* schemes do not go over well on this forum, because we've seen 'em all here.  If you don't reveal the method and just ask for bitcoin, that's a scam until proven otherwise.  And that's how it has to be, because you are not the first one to offer such an "investment".

In addition, your presentation is amateurish at best, and you come off like a 3rd world scammer.  So there's no one here who'll likely send you anything.  I certainly wouldn't.
