Thanks for that. It solved my problem. Now, I'm mining again!

I have been happily mining Eth for the past year with my two GTX1060 cards. Nothing major, but it trickled a few fractions of a coin into my wallet every week.
Now it has stopped and gives me this error: "Socket was closed remotely (by pool)"
I have checked and double checked my settings, updated Claymore, but still the same problem. I would really appreciate a solution.
Below is a screenshot.

Hello! I am also interested in this issue: where I can see links for airdrop or bounty? I would like to participate! Concerning the draft itself, I think this idea has a lot of chances in future. I believe in this team! They had much to bring! Best of luck in your future endeavors.
yep ! I think this is a very powerful project
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Crypto trading site on: February 20, 2018, 01:06:36 PM
Here's a simple question: Can anyone recommend a nice honest trading site with a good reputation. One that does not regularly freeze your funds or simply stop hold it al together.
Thanks.

And yet I would be pretty upset if my bank tells me that they have frozen my funds because the network is slow. That is the problem with the crypto world, not just all the scams, but the extreme low level of competency.

That would be because they have taken the money and ran. Say goodbye to your funds at Cryptopia.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best current gpu for Ethereum mining on: September 08, 2017, 06:47:22 AM
What is the best gpu currently available for Ethereum mining?

What do you mean by "best"? Simply the single GPU with the greatest possible hashrate? (What about dual-GPU cards?) The one with the best price:performance ratio? The best power:performance ratio?

Most of us would have some combination of those factors, and perhaps some more idiosyncrasies.

Sorry, it is a pretty open-ended question. I was referring to graphics card, rather than just the gpu - whether its dual-gpu or not. And by best, I would refer to both efficiency and pure performance.

11  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Total newbie post on: December 10, 2015, 02:14:32 AM
Thanks for all the answers/advice.
So, it seems the two big factors would be difficulty and BTC exchange rate. Given, of course that electricity prices don't change and the miners don't break.
I'm beginning to understand now why its called speculation, rather than just plain mining.
One more question: does the difficulty ever decrease?
12  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Total newbie post on: December 08, 2015, 09:07:11 AM
I am completely new to Bitcoin mining. Now, I have some pretty basic questions. Please excuse me if you've heard these questions many time before.
If I buy an S7 and run it here in Hong Kong, according to profitability calculators, it should make around $220 per month, minus pool fees. Now, if I buy 10 of these, then I should make around $2 200 per month, not so? Now, at $1 650 per unit, that should pay itself off in around 6 months, give or take. Thereafter, I get $2 200 per month.
That sounds pretty good, is there a catch?
