1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 07, 2017, 11:32:50 PM
Well they finally answered my ticket#518269, and now I'm verified.

I still think it's crappy how they accept coins without giving you the option to withdrawal them until verified.

OK. I added everyone from this topic to the first post Smiley
2FA trick still working, but not so fast!
Requested 2 FA removal 2 days ago.  Attached all the docs. They have just removed the 2FA. And that's it. The enhanced verification request is still unsolved. Although I marked in the 2FA request that I hoped the docs would help to verify my account.

Yep same here, I even made it very clear my account wasn't verified and I needed it done manually because of a name mismatch. They just removed 2FA, and ignored everything I said about my account not being verified.

You can add me to the list, can't get verified after I sent in all the documents they wanted.

Ticket#518269

Now I have funds stuck in there because they'll happily take your bitcoins if you aren't verified, just don't ask for them back.
4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: November 26, 2017, 12:38:01 PM
Are peeps still having issues with their accounts getting locked out or is it all sorted out now?

Too i have a problem with Mismatch Name i cant withdraw any amount of btc and i dont have any kind of verification very bad position for me

Same here, the name I go by is just a tad bit different than my legal name. I've used it with banks, cc companies, insurance companies, and no one has given a shit. Honestly a name mismatch isn't going to stop some crook, obviously they would signup with the name on the ID. If you try that with bittrex they'll gladly take your bitcoins but you can't have them back. Now it looks like I have to get in line behind thousands of people bitching at them (check their twitter). Luckily I didn't send that much but I'm not giving up, I want my money back even though I might be fucked.

they're going to implement a .001 maintenance fee per hour - sighs...I'm pulling out guys.  I was so excited about it a few days ago...can't believe it's over already =(

read here: https://www.cex.io/faq

FAQ number 3.

Hey read it again. It says $0.001 not BTC man it's in dollars. And it's way cheaper than the electricity hosting at home!!

Eh?  "the approximate cost will be $0.001 per GHS / hour."

If you had 180 GHS that's 180 x 0.001 = 0.18 an hour. That's $4.32 a day or around $130 a month. If the GHS were in BFL asics you could host that yourself at home for about $45 a month at 0.09 KWH. For bitfury asics it should be a lot less. I'm kind of tired here so someone feel free to jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.

Why are they still allowed to advertise here?!?!  I do not understand how the forums let newbs get sucked into this...

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ASIC and Bandwidth..... on: October 11, 2012, 07:30:18 PM
You do have a point with the more bandwidth usage. It won't necesserially be 40x more but it will be a larger value from where more data is having to be used from where the machines can hash faster. (Please correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty convinced that it WILL use more. Not 40x but a higher amount)

That's what I was thinking but really had no idea...

use forum search
use
"stratum"
 and
"GBT"
as search terms
sorry I don't have time to get links
this has been anticipated and worked on for some time and is well covered

I've heard of stratum but haven't read much about it, so thanks I'll do that.

10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ASIC and Bandwidth..... on: October 10, 2012, 08:45:10 PM
You are totally confused  Cheesy

No it won't use 40x more bandwidth

Also, do you keep your bitcoin client open too?

Too much absinth i guess  Cheesy

I don't have the client on the machine running at 1500Mhash. So that wouldn't be included in the 100MB a day.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / ASIC and Bandwidth..... on: October 10, 2012, 08:26:36 PM
I've searched through this forum about bandwidth and ASICs but didn't find much info. So maybe someone here can chime in on this.

One of my current GPU machines runs at 1500 Mhash and uses close to 100MB of transferred data a day. So when these ASIC machines come out that are 60Ghash will they really be using up 40x more bandwidth than my current rig running at 1500Mhash? I don't see how someone could run many of these considering the bandwidth limits with ISPs.
