Update on network:
Supernet wallet caused a fork because it had poor connectivity with the network when it started staking alot of coins. If you have less than 5 connections you are probably not on the mainchain. It's still going strong and the supernode is on it, but others are not. I just updated the bootstrap to it, so you can do file->reload blockchain but I think many are trying to download it and we are getting an overload on the server. Other thing you can do is in vericoin.conf remove all other node lines and just put connect=supernode.vericoin.info this should tether you to only the supernode and you should sync up to the longest chain
And do you not see this as a problem? If someone is custodian to a large supply of vrc they should go out of their way to not cause such issues. Others have had access to more vrc then supernet & you or any of the other devs for a longer period of time and have made sure not to mess with the chain.

these threads always remind me of a statue I once saw at Shibuya train station.

I was waiting to see what the smart guys say on this idea..
...
So i was hoping to see the response from the guys around here that know their stuff.
could not have said it better myself... it seems the wheels have already started to turn for some, though. looking forward to seeing where this idea is heading. and happy to see that people who know what they are doing still lurk here...

whats the point of the vericoinforums if members are never granted "permission" to do anything? useless they are it seems. gave up on that. almost a year has gone by & still waiting to be granted "sufficient" enough "privileges" to be able to do anything.

and all the other coins that were created b/c of your update that broke the network?

Will hold vote on forums with what to do with extra endow funds that were staked during this. After network is strong again
ELi5.... "...we will talk about this after we have secured our ill-gotten gains."

so... basicly you just forked yourself well over 1.7 million extra vrc...
oh, that is rich......
"hey everybody... just ignore this >100btc transfer to my wallet... "

for many that has worked quite well... but that is not what i said.
before the ico that volunteer excuse would work...
but after running the ico, specifically asking for money the devs obligations and responsibilities have
increased. they now have the money they asked for.
so that argument no longer holds weight.

Can't "you" just post a cpu miner on github or so ?
If you want it that bad why not do it yourself?
Your being ridiculous...I love how everyone here expects the moon, the stars and everything between. These guys are volunteering their own free time to develop something that could be game changing.
that volunteering argument went out the window when the devs decided to hold an ico

no. do not bring satoshi into this just to push your alt... and besides... that is inconceivable. i do not think this person is who you think they are

ICO? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) ?? yay!!!!!! come on everybody hop up on the band wagon. on more serious note. most people would focus on securing and maintaining a LIQUID market (which vrc is not and has not been for over a year) that is actually used for the one coin they already have before adding another in to the mix. and how can the devs promise to support this new coin at a set exchange rate with out heavy manipulation or negatively impacting the market of vericoin it would seem to some that... that this ICO is an attempt to replenish the devs warchest that was given away and regain a percentage of stake in the vericoin network with out actually having to spend the bitcoins to aquire it. but we digress maybe this is the best option after all after handing over a large % of the network to a group that will never stop using vrc to bolster up their own projects or allow for vrc to exceed the value of them

Yeah, sort of at first...
And how do you feel about it now?
I am not blazing with satisfaction or anything, but the truth is... it all ended when bitcoin was shared with everyone. The minute you share and synchronize all information you loose your uniqueness and become absorbed into the unconscious maliciousness of a third party who has no motive... or perhaps into the will of someone who does have one.
These are words based on what a community member has gained from hard earned experience...
After enough time participating in this community "...everything that is happening in this world appears to be phoney, something other than what it is."
J.D. Salinger
As one who was born and grew up in the era of computers and technology one would think I would welcome and rejoice in the idea of the creation and integration of anonymous digital trade, but I will tell you that it was a simple piece of mail that was stumbled across on the net that began to cause me to question. What I had found was a blackmail document, that had probably been sent to a wealthy individual, corporation, or organisation. It was armed with a thesis that was a comparative study on the inadequacies of physical storage of value versues the effectivness of trade through digital means. What started as a neutral had at that point, thanks to third parties, begun to take sides. I being young and naive read this mail only seeing the neutral and positive, choosing to ignore the negative.
"I am the machine that reveals the world to you as only I alone am able to see it."
Dziga Vertov
Yes, I was kidding myself, by thinking that it was my personal mission to share and circulate that data and thesis to the rest of the world which it had not yet been exposed.
Failing spectacularly. As blackmail, scams, drug dealing, along with other malicous acts became more routine and accepted with in the community, the pure innocent mediator grew dejected at the base nature of the social system and he turned mute.
It was most likely because of all that, Satoshi became a vanishing mediator. Just like an author whos existance is emphasized by the fact that he rarely puts out any new works for publication. In other words, by disappearing it acts a regulating medium for the dynamism of the social system. Per sociological theory it ultimately vanishes leaving no trace of it's presence inside or outside the system.
Fredric Jameson
Even though I was familiar with the words, I wasnt able to believe it untill I saw it with my own eyes. And yet, third parties carried on. Who knew that copies could still be produced despite the absence of the original? If you had to give a name to this phenomenon, what would you label it?
It would be a stand alone complex.
From the start the very nature of our current social system has contained the mechanisms to trigger such an amazing occurrence. Personally however, I feel this marks the beginning of a new era of despair. What are your opinions?

normally we keep to ourselfs and refrain from commenting as it usually draws unwanted attention from these crowds.speaking from outside the situation and while we do not know anything when it comes to behind the curtains of coins.it does not mean we do not read however.and after alot of reading of comments. not sure if people can trust any of these altcoin communities (drk, doge, xmr, bts, ripple, nxt, ltc, even btc is almost nothing but selfish/scamie/power grabing politics)with any money. wager or invesment alike. users actions and comments over the past few years have not instilled many confidence. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)
